We have two impressive people running for president. I fully realize that is not a judgment universally shared in our polarized, partisan, red-blue divided nation. But Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are both smart and knowledgeable leaders of admirable character who have succeeded in every aspect of their careers. The campaign has showcased, however, their strikingly different life experiences and worldviews. There is every reason to believe they would take us in very different directions in foreign policy.

Barack is smart... yeah sure. my cat is smarter.
I would hope so.
But, it was discouraging at the debate to hear Romney not attacking Obama, but rather agreeing with Obama on several matters.
He wasn’t smart enough to make it to the national merit finals or we would have heard about it a gazillion times.
Lots of people are smarter than him.
Mitt’s not exactly a foreign policy maven, this is why he has advisors (and Paul Ryan himself is no dolt). But I get the sense that Mitt agreed with Obama on some matters simply by way of argument that so what if we do agree, it’s the economy stupid and you, Barack, are a colossal fail in that department.

If Barack hadn’t gone off on this hate-whitey jag that he reports himself having indulged in when he was an early teen, he might have been scholarly minded enough to earn that scholarship. But school learning is such a whitey thing. No he had to pee in the hall and play his stereo too loud, that kind of thing.
Well you have your liars and you have your people that tell the truth..
Its been that way for several thousand years..
Obama is a pathological liar and worse hires and appoints other liars all around him..
Selects liars for Joint Chiefs and in the Justice Department..
Fills the entire Executive of Givernment with liars.. at the top..
The polarization is systemic.. and has been for decades..
HArd to be and remain a democrat without being a liar..
Polarization IS GOOD!.....
UNless you setup shop with the liars..
I wish someone could break that down to a level where I can understand the sophistication and nuances because what I see is that our allies don't trust us and our enemies are laughing at us. The middle east is in flames and likely will turn into a solid block of islamic foes. There are a number of south american countries that are turning against us and toward marxism. Russia and China are expanding their influence throughout the world as ours is waning.
The writer is misguided, but he does raise a valid point that Romney spend a great deal of the debate agreeing with Obama’s devastating foreign policy
It’s like making exquisite art with a t*rd.
Yeah, riiiigggghhhhtttt.....there's the FIRST mis-statement.
Is this the paper that was with Gloria Allred trying to get the divorce unsealed of Mr. Romney business partner?
It’s totally awesome how Barack rode the affirmative action sled into Washington.
Mitt is so-so. Mitt appears as though he may be rising to the occasion, which is good news if he does. The famous Mitt waffle iron is going to have to be securely packed away if the US expects the world to count upon it any more than it counted upon the Barack Obama administration.
Is this the paper that was with Gloria Allred trying to get the divorce unsealed of Mr. Romney business partner?
Is there no depth to which they won’t sink?
Obama's international nuance: kissing butt; having world apologize tours followed by prostrated bowing; dissing traditional allies; supporting Muslim Brotherhood takeover of nations; seeking the downfall of Israel; gets no actual respect from other nations.
Yes, the same Boston Globe owned by the New York Times Slimes.
Obama looked to me like he was seething with hate for Romney. To Obama, Romeney represents conservatives, republicans, Tea Party members, and all who oppose him. That’s what I saw...a man who hates not only Romney but more than half of America. Romney did not show this hate back to Obama but did talk to him in a stern voice like when he talked to him concerning his apology tour. It wasn’t hate but it was like a man correcting another who is in error. Striking contrast how Obama spoke with such hatred, attacks, a petulant face, an angry stare. God save America from this hateful man.
To me, Romney was using foreign policy to court the female vote. At the Convention, he came off as a hawk who might engage in new wars all over the globe. I think he was stepping back to show a steady, rationed demeanor that would only diverge from the current policy in strengthening US forces and making no bones about its support of Israel.
