Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that three urgent requests from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. Consulate and subsequent attack nearly seven hours later were denied by officials in the CIA chain of command -- who also told the CIA operators to "stand down" rather than help the ambassador's team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11. Former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were part of a small team who were at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. Consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When they heard the shots fired, they radioed to inform their higher-ups to tell them what they were hearing. They were told to "stand down," according to sources familiar with the exchange. An hour later, they called again to headquarters and were again told to "stand down."

Maybe you don’t remember or are too young. But, it was Panetta and George Mitchell who sandbagged Bush 41 into raising taxes. Panetts is totally dishonorable and a bald-faced liar and has always been such.
The following is what “I think” the military air assets we have at Sigonella:
1. F16s less one hour to target
2. F18s less than one hour to target
3. AC-135 Gun Ships (Specter) About 1hr 20 minutes to target
4. Apache Helicopters. They could have been on target in a little over two hours. They would have to be refueled on board a Carrier in the Med if we had one available.
If we have a military man on this thread that knows for sure what assets we had available in Sigonella and aboard ships in the Med please join in and comment.

Panetta needs to resign today. So should Petraeus.
This is simply inexcusable.
And worse than this, they tried to cover it up afterwards because of the election.

Although, the fact that people were MURDERED and not just killed makes this incident FAR worse.
The two CIA operatives (the former SEALs) were at the CIA complex 1 mile away. They heard shots, called it in, but were told to STAND DOWN. They called in three times and were told to stand down each time.
They ignored the order the last time and went to help. By that time, things were well out of control and they walked into a losing fight.
These men have upheld the Honor of our military and entire Nation. God bless them and their families - we have lost some of our finest...
I heard Jennifer Griffen reporting this live on Fox and thought “THIS NEEDS TO GO VIRAL!” Beck picked it up on his show and now Limbaugh and Drudge. This is truly disgusing and astounding.

Those in the CIA Annex requested permission to aid the consulate. Were told to stand down at least twice. Went anyway after being told to stand down the second time

The guys on the roof top, with their blood on their weapons, had a laser pointed at the mortar that took them out. Any gunship could have used the laser to take out the mortar location.
Yesterday, I thought “they thought help was coming any minute”. Apparently they knew no help was coming. They fought to the death knowing they had been betrayed by their country. It’s shameful and those responsible should all be tried, and if convicted, suffer the harshest punishment.
But obama will get out off. How? He’ll say “I left and went to bed and nobody woke me up to tell me what was happening.” So, people under him will fall. Hillary’s already accepted responsibility. I wonder if she will lie and say she didn’t know they requested help.
Obama: doing more to protect Big Bird and gay marriage than average Americans.

THE MEDIA must be tried and imprisoned for what they are doing to this country....and their turn will come.
The guys who would have done the work were locked and loaded. Once again, it was civilian management (not leadership) that "stood down".
Amazing that team Obama would risk a task force to oust Qaddafi, who was doing us no harm, and nothing to save diplomatic and intelligence personnel they'd sent into the resulting morass.
