all that is needed is to fire 95% of all the administrators, demand disipline in the classroom and they will have more than enough money!

>>In Whittier Union High School District, class sizes — some already exceeding 40 students

Class size in Asia including private schools is frequently over 40 and they do a pretty good job of turning out educated students.

Maybe they can cut spending on all the stupid programs that benefit slivers of the population, the gay bath houses & libraries, ethnic community centers etc... of course not they will threaten programs that sound good and people like first.

What happened to the lottery money that was supposed to keep the schools from running out of money?

Here’s what Governor Brown means when he says the tax increase will go to Education:

Working Title: Executive Director for Campus Diversity and Inclusivity

Position Description: Cal Poly seeks an energetic, visionary and collaborative leader who will serve as the university’s executive inclusivity strategist. The successful candidate will have expertise in inclusivity issues as they manifest in the university environment and a proven record of strong leadership and management skills. The Executive Director for Campus Diversity and Inclusivity will work closely with a dynamic and progressive leadership team. The Executive Director for Campus Diversity and Inclusivity will report to the President. He or she will have budgetary and personnel responsibility within the divisions of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. Consequently, he or she will be a member of these respective teams with a working dual reporting line to the Provost and the Vice President of Student Affairs.

The President, Provost, Vice President of Student Affairs and the Executive Director for Campus Diversity and Inclusivity will assess staffing and budget issues annually to ensure the full implementation of the inclusive excellence model, which pertains to both climate and diversity initiatives.

If California can afford positions like these, they have more than enough money.

"... superintendents say class sizes could grow..."

That's bull $hit. On any given day, class sizes in California schools and inner-city schools such as Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, are greatly reduced because the 'gangsters-in-training' are skipping school to hone their gang-banging crime skills. Or, should I say 'gang-banging crime KILLS"?

They said the same thing about Prop 13 40 years ago and yet the educational system subsequently went on to rake in more money than ever and expand in all directions.

In the words of our foul mouthed president......what a bullsh***er!

Instead of hitting us with another tax, make some cuts at the administration level. Give us back our union dues (if the NEA gave the dues back to the schools instead of Dem campaigns and propositions, the teachers would have what they need).

No more taxes!

I will know that Kalifornia is serious about its finance problem when I hear that the legislature has repealed the onerous and unConstitutional infringements on the right to keep and bear arms, and the state has shut down the bureaucracies that track gun ownership and help enforce the ridiculous scary-rifle laws.

Instead of reducing the tyranny, Kalifornia will begin registering all long-guns in 2014. I will be very busy in 2013 trying to replace all the items lost in various boating accidents.
