State Department warns Texas AG not to arrest UN-affiliated election observers (list of locations)
Michelle Malkin ^ | 10/27/12 | Doug Powers

Posted on 10/27/2012 5:32:58 AM PDT by markomalley

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott has warned a group of UN-affiliated “international election observers” that they could be subject to criminal prosecution if they breach state laws by being within 100 feet of polling place entrances.

The US State Department issued a warning as well. No, not to the election observers — to Texas:

International election observers planning to visit Texas polling places have “full immunity” from being arrested in the United States, the State Department said when discussing a letter from the Texas Attorney General.

“I’m not going to get into any kind of hypothetical situations or predict where this is going to go other than to say we have every expectation that this will be worked out and to state the fact, which is that under U.S. law they are eligible for immunities,” said State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland. Reporters tried to get her to state explicitly that Texas could not arrest election observers from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), but Nuland would only reiterate that OSCE observers have full immunity.

Hey, it’s not like the State Department has anything else to worry about.

The “observers” will in part be looking for voter fraud and suppression activities by conservative groups. They’re only monitoring conservatives because nobody on the other side of the political spectrum has been busted in a voter fraud scam since, oh… Wednesday.

A list of where the observers will be stationed is here. Because this group is affiliated with the UN, the comptrollers of those listed cities would be wise to prepare to have to unpaid parking tickets on the ledger until the end of time.

The threats to Texas officials by the States AG and the State Dept in Washington beg the response “ Or you’ll do what?”

As for immunity from arrest? Nonsense, perhaps an immunity from prosecution but ANYBODY can be arrested and detained. The legalities of the arrest can be dealt with later, after the elections in this case and by then we all know nothing will ever come of it.

So the UN is observing in Springfield, Illinois, but Crook County and Rahmabad traditionally, and proudly, boasts of legendary voting fraud, lack of ballot box security studied by the Argonne National Labs Center for Physical Security, dead voters, etc. Yup, the UN is focused like a laser beam on voter fraud. Good job to the blue-pastel-helmeted weenies.

Here in Texas, the county sheriff has the ultimate law enforcement authority. This includes over federal agents. At least that has always been my understanding. This gives them the right to arrest DPS and local police. This may get interesting.
Another example of zero trying to destroy this country.

The FedGov can let them in the country, but once they enter any particular state, they fall under the laws of that state. It’s none of the Fed’s business unless what the state does violates the US constitution.

Then maybe they need to stay IN the 'United States' and keep their ass OUT of Texas.

Our AG is smart enough to know pesky legal things like the 10 Amendment to the US Constitution, the Rule of Exclusion, AND the legal definition of the 'United States', doncha know!

I also noticed the only place they're going to be is the most liberal place in the State. Guess they don't have the 'nads to show up where us gun totin', Bible thumpin' rednecks live.

That's my understanding of the technicalities, too. If these observers violate Texas law, they can and should be detained until their departure flight begins boarding. I'm sure the Governor will even buy them a one-way ticket to wherever, just to avoid the "charge or release" deadline.

In fact, that would secure another term for Perry like nothing else could.

One can not observe that which is invisible.

The professional and perpetual blatant fraud is hidden under layers and layers of obscuring election bureaucrats. Most of those don’t know and certainly don’t realize their job is solely to provide an additional layer of fraud obfuscation.

The foreign observers are never able to penetrate the layers and with some trumped up sense of relevance report alll is well.

OK. They can play the Federales game: no arrest. Texas can simply "detain" and provide immediate escort to the State line. This way out, boys. Head North, and don't stop until you're up to your necks in the Potomac river.

I have 30 years of experience of having to deal with compliance with both state and federal laws and regulations. You can be out of compliance with neither, either , or both. These in many cases are exclusive.

So as far as I am concerned the state has much right to enforce their rules as the feds do. Secondly, what enforcement agency will bid the SD's rules domestically? AG?, DOJ?.... Good luck with getting that worked out by election time.

To our dear friends at the U. S. Department of State: You might be right about these folks’ immunity, but if we here in Texas decide that it is in the best interest of their safety for them to be taken into protective custody, then perhaps you could let us know where you’d like to pick them up on November 7th. Thank you for your cooperation.

Stay thirsty, my friends.

Don't forget we finance this invasion through U.S. yearly payments (our tax money) to the U.N.

To boot, 44 invaders will be positioned across the fruited plain to catch any conservative voting fraud. They have to be transported from overseas, housed and fed during their occupation of our sovereign territory. Are we going to see the expense sheets they turn in for reimbursement? Will they see the local sights while they're encamped here? Will they eat at MacDonald's like too many Americans have to resort to now, metaphorically-speaking? Will they be put up at the local el cheapo Don't Tell Motel? We will never know, of course.

In addition, methinks when the designated precinct locations of these international spies are presented in full detail, a hundred-feet-away !!! FREEP !!! beamed at the U.N. usurper ensconced therein would be SOOOO delicious.

I hope one such hostile intruder will be coming to my locale.

Leni

What's that saying?

The more complicated the plumbing, the easier it it to stop up the drain.

--------

So as far as I am concerned the state has much right to enforce their rules as the feds do.

Exactly! the ironic thing us both federal law AND Chapter VII of the UN Charter (which is what the OSCE operates under) ALL say they have to abide local laws.

Abbott is only holding them to the same standard as any other poll watcher.....but Hillary wants to try to bluff Texas, and they KNOW we don't play that.

IMHO - the huffin' and puffin' coming out of the State Dept. is more to take the heat off Benghazi, because even a legitimate diplomat's immunity will only protect him from prosecution.

In other words, you CAN beat the rap, but you can't beat the RIDE!

Looks like they’ll just be in the state capitals. By the time the ballots get to those they will have been laundered pretty good. Here’s a few places where observers should go, but feel free to add to the list: Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus (OH), Philadelphia, Chicago, West Palm Beach, Miami,... In short, the big cities of the battleground states is where the most fraud will occur.

Imho, they are not here to prevent fraud. They are stationed at capitols, because state capitols will make better international news talking points. Here’s my hypothesis. Let’s say the reelection of the communist in chief is rigged to happen no matter how badly he’s doing in the polls. To maintain control over a “restless” US population “unhappy” with the “unexpected” results, “strong action,” possibly requiring international assistance (and PR), may be necessary, but at least we will “know” that election fraud didn’t happen, because the UN observers will tell us so. Its already in the script. The last thing these guys want is to actually see fraud. Imho. Suggests a possible counter strategy, doesn’t it?
