Despite real-time video, emails to the White House and desperate cries for help, our defense secretary says we didn't send rescue forces to our Benghazi consulate because we didn't know what was going on.
In a statement bordering on the Kafkaesque, Leon Panetta told a news conference Thursday that four Americans, including our Libyan ambassador Chris Stevens, were left to die without a rescue attempt by nearby U.S. military forces because there's "a basic principle here, and the basic principle is that you don't deploy forces into harm's way without knowing what's going on, without having some real-time information about what's taking place."
That would seem to sum up the Obama administration's assessment of and story line about the Middle East — it has no real-time clue about what's going on. Osama bin Laden is dead, but Islamofascism is very much alive, and to send an ambassador and his diplomatic mission into harm's way without so much as a Marine security detachment with bayonets is unconscionable.
Excuse us, Mr. Secretary, but your administration had a drone over the consulate on Sept. 11...

Thank you Travis. I agree, in fact, I’d like to see more of the families of the fallen speak out. However, the question is...anyone willing to risk everything could tell the truth to whom? Even with everything we already know, including Mr. Woods’ speaking out, and all that has been proven til now...only Fox is covering it....I keep skimming every other station and thus far have found absolutely no reports on what really happened in Benghazi...not even a soundbite of Mr. Woods.... We’re preaching to the choir. We need to find a way to FORCE the media, because if and when they finally do give it some coverage, it will be on Obama’s terms.
Well, I have the feeling the story is getting around. Up to some 20,000 comments on it on yahoo tonight. People are getting wind of it ...and it’s NOT pretty.

Panetta is about to wreck his public life. The stench of this will bring him down.

The US govt and NCA had real time intel from an ex-SEAL on the ground throughout the event.
No other resources required.
Leon, we already had forces so much in harms way they were under heavy incoming fire.
I’m sorry to say when in HS/college( that summer) I helped the committee to elect Panetta; still talk to his family only nowadays, last 30 years or so I haven’t had much nice to say so it’s very small talk( 75 or 76 I can’t remember, dagums, oh well)

A concise documentation of Obama’s Military incompetence. Obama must Impeached before January 20, 2013, and then stripped of any honor bestowed on him in his first term.
The Impeachment of “Benghazi” Obama, needs to be a strong example of scoring political points against incompetent politicians by all those who love America.

Lt. Col Andrew Wood is the one that brought the security situation to light. Here is his opening statement to the Congressional Hearing. You can watch the entire thing on YouTube, it is chilling! I dvr’d it and have watched twice. Too much to absorb in one sitting.
Upon hearing of the death of Ambassador Stevens and later of the Congressional inquiry, I identified myself to my Congressional Representative’s staff as a person with intimate knowledge of the security situation prior to the attack. I was subsequently contacted and began a dialogue with staff investigators.
I made a personal decision to come forward with information and do not represent DoD or any government agency. I had unique access and placement to many government leaders and agencies working in Libya. I feel duty bound to come forward in order to inform and provide a portion of ground truth information. I feel a sense of honor for those individuals who have died in the service of their country.
Yes!!! They were ex SEALs not tourists from Georgia! They KNEW better than anyone how to communicate what was going on!!
