The White House on Saturday flatly denied that President Barack Obama withheld requests for help from the besieged American compound in Benghazi, Libya, as it came under on attack by suspected terrorists on September 11th.
"Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi," National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told Yahoo News by email.

It’s OBAMA’S FAULT.
Thank heavens they can’t hang that one on Bush. I guess the question to ask is “What would Bush have done?”
He didn’t want to p*ss off the newly reorganizing Libya.
What utter bilge from this administration. Even Bill Clinton would have been decent enough to let US forces do what they do best.
Bush would have told all the forces to kick ass, and don’t bother taking names until the carnage is being cleaned up.
They’ve had all this time to scrub anything clean and creat any version they want.
Keep denying, more people will no longer buy it.
Here's the thing: Even if no request for aide was sent out, the Administration, including the President, knew they were in trouble and were under attack. A request for aide should not have been necessary. Aide should have been sent, regardless of requests. It is the Presidents job to assess situations such as Benghazi and act accordingly. Trying to fob it off as no request for aide is BS. They were watching a real time video and knew what had to be done, yet they(bozo)refused to do it. Bozo and the boys are guilty of murdering 4 Americans.
Video of some merit
What he did is a badge of honor in the Muslim Islamic world of the holy jihad on the infidels.
True in the Extreme! A Standing Order Should Have Been In Place. Why such an order was not in place is another question needing an answer from this zer0 crowd.
My follow-up questions to the Obama Aide would be -
Is/was Obama aware of ANY request being made?
When was he informed of such requests?
So these folks were rogue Americans in Benghazi with no bosses in DC? Haha
From the Petraeus response, I took it that these folks were not working for the CIA. So who were these folks working for? Was this intelligence operation under direct supervision of the Director of Intelligence (whatever he’s called) at the White House? Did no one who the POTUS hired ask the POTUS to give permission to aid these Americans? Is the POTUS that incompetent at hiring people who know how things work? Does no one at the White House have a conscience? We need to sweep the evil out of DC.
Congress needs to find out who was controlling this operation at the safe house. Follow the money. Will these dead contractors receive an insurance pay out since they were told not to run into the fire?
Interesting. CIA says it did not deny more help.
State Department says it did not deny help.
DOD says it did not deny help.
And now the White House says it did not deny help.
Someone or several folks are lying.
My bet is that it is the White House who is lying
These leakers need to start leaking names, so we can follow the trail of cowardness.
“Either theyre stupid, or theyre even stupider.”
I’ve been saying this for some time. If they say they were not informed and did not know what was going on they were derelict in their duty. If they knew and did nothing - especially when they had the means to do so they should resign
Petraeus essentially blamed Obama for this he should stand up and do that plainly and make any tapes or transcripts the CIA has public.
As Romney so eloquently said about the MSM “ Obama’s leads from behind “
Ding, ding we have a winner. They didn't issue a denial of assistance, they simply didn't approve the request of assistance. I really think this whole thing is on Valerie Jarrett. She was afraid of sending in the military in case there was a Desert One/Black Hawk Down type incident in an election year. So she sacrificed the lives of everyone in the consulate instead.
