Checking in with update from Beachy homestead.

The winds have really picked up here, it’s really cold and wet. so far we haven’t lost power other than a brief flicker.

Our poor granddoggie does not want to go out in it. We have to figure a way to get her out before dark.

Crazy - snow in mountains of VA/WVA, homes damaged along the coast, flooding, power lines down as far north as VT.

It’ll be an interesting night. Glad offices closed again tomorrow.

A Marine colonel on his way home from work at the Pentagon came to a dead halt in traffic and thought to himself, “Wow, this traffic seems worse than usual. Nothing’s even moving.”
He notices a police officer walking back and forth between the lines of cars so he rolls down his window and asks, “Excuse me, Officer, what’s the hold up?”
The Officer replies, “The President is just so depressed about losing the election he stopped his motorcade in the middle of the Beltway and he’s threatening to douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire. He says America hates him and his campaign is broke. I’m walking around taking up a collection for him.”
“Oh really? How much have you collected so far?”
“About three hundred gallons, but I’ve got a lot of folks still siphoning!”

Everything battened down and supplies in? Generator gassed and ready?

Your offices closed today? Work from home?

We don't have a generator. Office is closed today and tomorrow and we can't work remotely on this project. I just hope they let us make up the hours on Saturday and Sunday.

I was just out to pick up #3 son from work - it has gotten intense out there! Roads are just about deserted and most businesses are closed. Heavy rain and high winds - gusting to 47 mph at this time.

I'm in for the duration - can't think of anything important enough to make me leave the house.

Aloha, Biglook! We are battened down here - dry and tight. This is good because the winds are rising to the point where driving would be very dangerous. Everything is closed now - tomorrow should be the worst day. My office is closed until at least Wednesday.

We still have power - we've been extremely lucky in that regard over the years. Have only lost power a couple of times, and then it was because of some drunk driver ramming a power pole.

Resting, enjoying a nice Chardonnay - life is good!
