Latest Ohio Poll Numbers Show Obama with 4 Point Lead; Brown Opens Up 11 Point Edge on Mandel
The Cleveland Leader ^ | October 29, 2012 | Eugene McCormick

Supporters of Barack Obama may be breathing a little easier this morning as Public Policy Polling show the president with a 51-47 advantage over Republican challenger Mitt Romney. The new numbers come a day after Ohio news organizations showed a dead heat at 49-49 according to their data. What the previous poll did not show was the result of the third, and final, debate between the two men who are battling for residency for four years in the White House. Last week, PPP showed Obama leading only 49-48.

PPP surveyed 718 likely voters throughout the Buckeye State. The margin of error is 3.7% and the data was collected via automated phone calls from October 26th-28th.

I don’t know whether Panera is a local restaurant but it’s sort of the Starbucks of bakeries/salads/healthy sandwiches. We went to the one in Lawrence Kansas yesterday, Lawrence is the most liberal town in the state. Sort of like Austin Texas. We couldn’t find a single Obama bumper sticker in the parking lot. We started looking around town for Obama bumper stickers and yard signs. No many yard signs period but as many this year for Romney as for Obama and same for bumper stickers.

What worries me is battle ground state shenanigans where the dims ride voter fraud into a EV victory.

Exactly. Early voting is going to be the biggest source of fraud and shenanigans. When Obama hit the little Iowa town of Mt. Vernon after the 2nd debate, he spoke at Cornell College. It JUST SO HAPPENED that Cornell was scheduled to be an early polling location that day. Of course, when I read the reports of his speech it was clear he suggested over and over again to the crowd that they should go right over to it and vote that day. There were lines blocks long to vote both before he spoke and after. I would bet $100 the 300 ft rule was violated for campaigning near polling places. If not, it was VERY close.

PPP likely screened too many Obama voters. It says nothing about O is really doing in OH.

And the result is not believable - in no poll has O cracked 50. It would be a miracle if that happened in OH.

The problem is in the real world a D+8 turnout is simply impossible. PPP has sold the MSM a snow job.

But they masturbate to this over at DU. Even fake good news is better than the steady drumbeat of bad news they’ve getting over there.

It begs the question as to the motives behind such a skewing.

It has to be that, as most people recognize, without Ohio, 0bama has lost even before Nov 6 rolls around. The media minions are not willing to let the last “firewall” go, as the cumulative effect will make things even worse in a snowball effect.

The Obama campaign is resembling Bernie in the classic movie.

How do you prop up a dead guy?

With smoke and mirrors. And this poll is built on smoke and mirrors!

"PPP has sold the MSM a snow job."

NO! Businessmen do not sell their customers what they don't want. This is the result that the MSM paid for. Just like the Battleground Poll is being misreported because of the stupid thing they did to publish the raw results first to show a 1 point lead for Obama, then the got to the real results that showed Romney +5 with likely voters and then went on to show very likely voters. I have seen Romney at 53 and 52 but Obama was solid 45. They had to give each side something to crow about to attain their creds with each side since Goas is a Republican and Lake is a Democrat.

Here in Ohio, I know where to go if I want to see Wall-to-Wall “O” campaign signs.
Even IF all of those people registered and voted, they cannot re elect “O” on the strength of their own numbers, alone.

Just figure that if that element makes up no more than 14% of the general population, every single one of them voting can’t re elect “O”.

Without massive voter fraud, and way MORE white Liberal voter turnout, “O” is toast! Matter of fact, I am certain that voter fraud is how he got elected the first time.

This one over-sampled democrats, and under-sampled independents in Ohio. The I’s are heavily leaning Romney. This will be a lot closer than the PPP is suggesting.

American Blacks have been thrown under the bus by Obama. They are, with their very own votes putting thmselves adrift at sea for many years to come. Not-too-bright!!! You can lead a horse to water, but....you cannot make him drink!!!

What are the bragging rights? Even in the Democratic 2008 “wave” year - D advantage was +2 and O carried OH by five points.

No one seriously thinks either party will get +8. It doesn’t happen in the real world.

If they want to fool themselves into thinking Obama has OH in the bag, then their base will stay home thinking its over.

Nothing like complacency for them - they want to gin up Democratic turnout but it may just backfire.

Yup!

And of course, if the deck is stacked against them, (as it has been with the stunted and biased educational program we have) they don’t have the intellectual frame of reference or cognitive tools necessary to think their way out of the hole that has been dug for them.

I don’t disagree with you at all, the point is they are desperate to make any kind of gains they can and will go down just like Baghdad Bob did because they know if they lose, it is curtains for what we know as the MSM. They are fully exposed and all the truth of their complicity in the bogus polls and Benghazi cover ups will hasten the day that Glenn Beck buys 30 Rock from a bankrupt NBC.
