Dozens of voters in Pueblo County, Colorado have claimed electronic voting machines have changed their votes for Mitt Romney to votes for President Barack Obama.
The Pueblo County Republican Party has asked the Colorado Secretary of State's office to investigate the matter.
A voter told KRDO Newschannel 13 that a checkmark appeared next to Obama's name after she cast her vote for Romney.
"I wonder where my vote really counted," she stated.
Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder Gilbert Ortiz admitted he was aware of "fewer than ten instances" of votes being switched and conceded such errors have occurred since the county has used the electronic voting machines in 2006. He blamed those changes on human error.
Gilbert said voters had several chances to check their ballot before submitting it, but Pueblo Republican Chair Becky Mizel said the county's clerk office should, "at the very minimum," place a note on the door of polling places informing voters to lookout for potential problems with the voting machines.
Last week, the Republican National Committee sent letters to six states, asking them to more closely monitor electronic voting machines -- and to re-calibrate them -- on Election Day. Colorado was one of those six states.

Paper ballots with an optical reader and purple dye (plus ultra violet) on the finger.
Those riots will be over Obamagabe winning because the voting machines turned to Obamagabe.
“Human error” my @$$. The fix is in by the commies. Where the hell are the buffoons from the U.N.? As usual, bull**** is going on right under their noses and they can’t even smell it. Another U.N. SNAFU.
I wonder how many blue state inner-city machines have been ‘programmed’ to vote multiple times? This intentional fraud crap stinks. It’s NOT an ‘error’.
Mitt is organized...he knows that to win, he must prevent Obama from stealing it.
Nothing that is going is “Human error” the same crap is going on in Ohio and other states..click to vote for Romney and it shows up as a vote for Obama..if it were “human error” it would just give you an error message if you were doing something wrong or pick Gary Johnson or something..but surprise surprise, these votes are going for Obama, gee I wonder why
I am sure this is just a coincidence, always from Romney to Obama. Just a coincidence.
Hopefully R/R have saved up a huge war chest to combat any voter fraud with their lawyers...
it doesn’t matter how people vote if the machines are programmed right, they can learn from Hugo Chavez
Yes, everybody who has an electronic voting machine and can see that it is changed needs to report it to the poll workers AND to R/R. When they report it they should ask how many Obama votes at that precinct thus far have been reported as being switched to Romney votes, and vice versa.
For those of us who vote with paper ballots, we’ll never know whether our vote was changed.
I’m sure holder and the un will get it straightened out.
The GOP wrote a letter
I am sure that will fix everything!
He was very polite but I thought "what's this all about?"
After thinking about it, I wonder if he wasn't acting on orders from the local NAACP or Obama office.
I am in the deep South...so a direct Obama force would be ousted ASAP.
God bless you and God bless the U.S.A. next Tuesday!
Having the New Black Panthers in front of polling places was too obvious. Having Romney votes count as Obama votes is more subtle and harder to prove. The Democrats are without honor.
As a poll worker here in Aiken County, SC, I have seen this happen.
The immediate fix is to recalibrate the touch screen. The long term fix is, when programming the ballot, to put more space between the colored buttons the voter must push. Less chance for the machine to misinterpret the touch.
This may help explain how Colorado went BLUE.
What’s the advice for the voter when this happens? Do you stand there and demand it be fixed? Fixed so you can SEE it’s been fixed?
Maybe one day I will get that explanation. Until then, I file all of these stories under "sticky accelerator."
If the obama votes were being converted to romney, we would have seen how the dems reacted. You can bet that this would have been fixed faster than you can say "cheating".
A expert on these machines was on Fox News Channel. He said these types of problems are caused by improper calibration of the machines.
Thank you, RR. I am praying with all my heart that the Lord will deliver us from all our enemies and their treachery. This country has been a tremendous blessing, and I hope and pray she will survive. I firmly believe that is what is at stake here.
Would that explain it always being a Romney vote changed to a vote for Obama?
If was an “improper calibration of the machines,” then 50% of the “errors” would be a Romney vote going to Obama and 50% of the time it would be an Obama vote going to Romney.
If the “error” vote is in Obama’s favor every time, then something is VERY fishy.
You have the option to vote with a paper ballot in Colorado, at least in early voting. I always use paper. I can't imagine why anyone would trust an electronic vote. There's absolutely no back up with it, and no way to double check the vote with certainty.
I voted straight republican party, went on to vote for school board, retention of judges, etc. when I finalized my vote, the machine indicated that I had not voted for president...I sought help, was directed as to how to vote for Romney, and did so. I have no idea how my vote for all the republicans registered and my vote for romney did not....I wonder how many times it happened and how many people overlooked it....and I am in Indiana!!
Aren't these things basically laptops?
Maybe they are measuring your impedance?
Calibration? Total Krap.
Not that I don’t think for one second the dims would do anything to get obozo back in, but I worked tech support for dialysis, point of sale software and desktop support and I know first hand how stupid people can be with technology. I had a guy once trying use his mouse sideways so I would not have much confidence that he could use a touch screen. I had another dude trying to put an audio cassette into a dialysis machine.
The same expert said the important thing to do is check the tally sheet on the machine before you submit your ballot.
(Ohio & NC) . . . . Now Colorado.
'Dozens' of Colorado Romney Voters Claim Machines Changed Votes to Obama
"If was an improper calibration of the machines, then 50% of the errors would be a Romney vote going to Obama and 50% of the time it would be an Obama vote going to Romney.
"If the error vote is in Obamas favor every time, then something is VERY fishy."
Find out the company who made the machines. INdiana would not authorize the company making the machines used in Ohio. The name of the company should be sent to FOX NEWs voter fraud site.
A Democrat will steal anything isn’t nailed down. Votes, lawn signs, money, whatever.
One of their leaders even said as much: “the only way to keep us from stealing [signs] is to tie our hands”.
There is an easy, modular/pluggable way to make voting machines cheatproof.
Of course, it would take someone interested in making the solution.
I I am running my smartphone video while i vote to capture what happens.
So, what is done when people complain their votes have been changed by the machines? Are they given some way to rectify that “error” in calibration or are they just told to suck it up and leave?
Same thing happening in FLORIDUH!!
Can you say SCYTL?
Supposedly they can change up to 10 million votes without getting caught.
Michelle Obama's Lavish Spain Vacation Sparking Criticism 2 years ago Lynn Sweet Analysis by Lynn Sweet While first lady Michelle Obama continues sightseeing and shopping in southern Spain with her daughter Sasha and friends as "private" tourists, questions are being raised about the cost to taxpayers and whether a lavish vacation sends the right message during tough economic times in the United States. Mrs. Obama also has a "public" part of the vacation, but it's hardly heavy lifting and without any formal agenda. On Sunday, Mrs. Obama and 9-year-old Sasha will have lunch with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia at their summer palace on the island of Majorca. This trip is sparking the first controversy Mrs. Obama has faced since becoming first lady. While Mrs. Obama covers her personal expenses, taxpayers pay for security and support staffers, plus most costs associated with her Air Force plane. CBS News has run two stories -- on its Thursday evening newscast and on Friday morning -- examining the public costs of Mrs. Obama's travels. ABC did a piece Friday morning about Mrs. Obama and Sasha buying matching sundresses, the ritzy resort they visited and the heavy coverage of the visit by Spanish media. NBC ran a story about the trip as well, and more network coverage is in the works. Contributing to the developing narrative: a column by Andrea Tantaros in the Thursday New York Daily News headlined, "Material girl Michelle Obama is a modern-day Marie Antoinette on a glitzy Spanish vacation." "It is very difficult to lead a private life when you are a public figure," Anita McBride, the chief of staff for former first lady Laura Bush, told me. "No one would deny an official the need for a vacation. But the more expensive or lavish the trip, the greater the risk of criticism." The first lady arrived in the Mediterranean coastal city of Marbella on Wednesday, checking in to the super-posh Villa Padierna, along with her daughter, friends, a small number of staffers -- the East Wing would not say how many -- and a security force. (The Obama's older daughter, Malia, 12, is at overnight camp.) On Thursday, Mrs. Obama's entourage arrived in the historic city of Granada, also in southern Spain. According to a story in El Pais, before visiting the landmark cathedral in the city, Mrs. Obama's group stopped for ice cream, and didn't mind people snapping pictures on their cell phones. The day also included viewing a flamenco performance and in the evening a visit to the Alhambra palace. When the trip was first announced, it was billed as "private mother-daughter trip with longtime family friends." On Wednesday in Politics Daily, I wrote that Mrs. Obama may well take some criticism for the Spain vacation. While first ladies always stay at high-class hotels -- security is a big part of the reason -- a five-star resort on Spain's coast creates a potential perception problem. The U.S. jobless rate is still high -- 9.5 percent on Friday. And while Mrs. Obama and President Obama have tried to encourage tourism in Gulf Coast areas not impacted by the BP oil spill, she is highlighting the beauty of Spain's Mediterranean beaches before the first family travels to Florida's Gulf Coast on Aug. 14 for a weekend stay. During the Wednesday afternoon briefing, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked about the "appearance" of Mrs. Obama's trip. "The first lady is on a private trip," Gibbs said. "She is a private citizen and is the mother of a daughter on a private trip. And I think I'd leave it at that." While the White House has emphasized that Mrs. Obama pays her personal costs, as do her friends who flew to Spain on their own, taxpayers pick up a big chunk of the tab. According to CBS News, the tax dollar part of the vacation include an estimated $146,000 round-trip cost for the U.S. Air Force 757 aircraft, not counting ground time; about $95,000 in hotel costs for an estimated 70 security personnel -- Secret Service and military -- who get a $273-a-day government per diem, plus costs for the dozen or so cars in her motorcade. moment." The East Wing argues that Mrs. Obama is a private citizen, not an elected official, and she wants to focus on her friends and family. While taking August off, she plans to ramp up her schedule after Labor Day. I'm also told the East Wing is not going to react to these stories about Mrs. Obama's travels. lot to the American people who pay for all these vacations and outings and would go a long way towards better relations with the people of the U.S. " August 07 2010 at 9:50 PM +3 urbach3 'kavieng6:36 PM Aug 7, 2010 This is a perk of the highest office in the land. People will always ask those Michelle Obama is the most intelligent and educated first lady ... to have entered the white House...She is a great ambassador to the world, to repair our dirtied image...' Very well put. Your logic is brilliant! August 07 2010 at 9:32 PM -6 Mark I'd take a vacation, or two, or three..okay I've lost count...also if I knew my husband was destroying the greatest Nation in the history of the world. I'm sure she's stressed. August 07 2010 at 9:20 PM +10 phefnero Sorry...she's not a public servant as stated in my comment, but her husband is. She has no right to take these vacations on taxpayer dime. August 07 2010 at 9:16 PM +8 snessee August 07 2010 at 8:56 PM -9 2 replies to snessee's comment LAURI Sure she can afford her portion, it's the excess that WE the taxpayers are footing the bill for. Read the article. WE have to cover the $146,000 round trip for the US Air Force 757 plus $$$ for ground time. WE have to cover the $95,000 in hotel hotel expenses for 70 security personnel-Secret Service and Military to guard Michelle and Sasha. WE have to cover the 70 security personnel who earn a per diem (per day) of $273 plus costs. WE have to cover the costs of a dozen or so cars in her motorcade. Add it up...It's ridiculous. How many trips do they take? August 07 2010 at 9:37 PM +8 MISS ANN Then why is she using tax payers money, for friends and her security. Most celbs pay for their own body guards. Her husband is president not her. August 07 2010 at 9:49 PM +4 haji1153 sure she has a right to show her daughter the world but how many parents would indulge at taxpayers expense.ours is a republic not a royalty.how many people can go on vacation with so many sec guards and a dozen cars.thought obamas more like common folks not royalty.things change on opm August 07 2010 at 8:51 PM +4 mjz4043 It's unfortunate that our country is in such dire straits. I worry for these poor people without jobs and it must be hard to watch the chosen few be able to take any kind of vacation without one at a five-star resort. The rich seem to get richer and the poor, poorer. Very sad and it says very little for the compassion of the elite that they do this sort of thing. When you are in the public eye, it is not wise to flaunt your position, your money or your power. August 07 2010 at 8:41 PM +3 Michael Here's an idea to stimulate our economy . Give a stimulus of $10,000 per family , but tell them to only spend it here in our homeland so that the small towns and rural America gets some much needed help. Wow I think someone has lost touch with the American people . This isn't about Michelle being a private citizen . My point is in her role you have to show compassion and use good common sense. She isn't in touch with the reality that most families in the USA is one paycheck away from financial trouble . The money spent to fly her round trip is about $178,000 . It upsets me to think how many people I could help with that . Our own country would have been just fine to visit and support. She could have visited our National parks for starters. and they we got scytl "see below
US Voting Systems (Fraud) Outsourced to SCYTL (continued) by AARON KLEIN US Voting Systems (Fraud) Outsourced to SCYTL National security concerns With the purchase of SOE Software, meanwhile, SCYTL has increased its involvement in the U.S. elections process. SOE Software boasts a strong U.S. presence, providing results in over 900 jurisdictions. In 2009, SCYTL formally registered with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (AEC) as the first Internet voting manufacturer in the U.S. under the EAC Voting System Testing and Certification Program. Also that year, SCYTL entered into an agreement with another firm, Hart InterCivic, to jointly market a flexible and secure electronic pollbook purportedly to allow U.S. election officials and poll-workers to easily manage the electoral roll on Election Day in an efficient and convenient manner. SCYTL"s ePollBookTM already replaced the paper precinct roster in Washington, DC. During the midterm elections in November 2010, SCYTL successfully carried out electoral modernization projects in 14 States. The company boasted that a "great variety" of SCYTL's technologies were involved in these projects, including an online platform for the delivery of blank ballots to overseas voters, an Internet voting platform and e-pollbook software to manage the electoral roll at the polling stations. The states that used SCYTL's technologies during the Midterms were New York, Texas, Washington, California, Florida, Alabama, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nebraska, West Virginia and Washington DC. Just prior to the midterm's however, the new electronic voting system in Washington, DC was hacked. As a program security trial, the D.C. Board of Elections & Ethics reportedly encouraged outside parties to hack and find flaws in its new online balloting system. A group of University of Michigan students then hacked into the site and commanded it to play the University of Michigan fight song upon casting a vote. This is not the first time SCYTL'S systems have been called into question Voter Action, an advocacy group that seeks elections integrity in the U.S., sent a lengthy complaint to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission in April 2010 charging the integration of SCYTL systems "raises national security concerns." "Foreign governments may also seek to undermine the national security interests of the United States, either directly or through other organizations," Voter Action charged. The document notes that SCYTL was founded in 2001 as a spin-off from a research group at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, which was partially funded by the Spanish government's Ministry of Science and Technology. SCYTL's headquarters are in Barcelona with offices in Washington, D.C., Singapore, Bratislava and Athens. The company provides voter services worldwide, including in France, Norway, Spain, India, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, Australia, Britain, Mexico, Switzerland, Philippines and Finland. Project Vote noted that in 2008, the Florida Department of State commissioned a review of SCYTLs remote voting software and concluded, in part, that: * The system is vulnerable to attack from insiders. * In a worst case scenario, the software could lead to (1) voters being unable to cast votes; (2) an election that does not accurately reflect the will of the voters; and (3) possible disclosure of confidential information, such as the votes cast by individual voters. * The system may be subject to attacks that could compromise the integrity of the votes cast. With research by Brenda J. Elliott NOTE: An earlier edition of this article identified the venture capital firm that invested in SCYTL as the emerging markets investment management firm, Spinnaker Capital Group. The actual SCYTL investor is another company with a similar name, the Spanish venture capital firm Spinnaker SCR. everywhere instead of just a few states.
That and the fact that they can be hacked into as well.....
“put more space between the colored buttons the voter must push.”
dIf that were the problem, then there’s be “errors” in favor of Romney 50% of the time. That’s not happening.
Not just the odds of “random” improper calibration going to hussein every time but combine that with those quirks being in swing states. Just wait until Spain starts the count...
Those might well be the longest two paragraphs I’ve ever seen! :-)
