Per DRUDGE: Romney internals--+1 in OH, tied in WI and PA!
Drudge per Daily Mail ^ | 11/5/2012 | LS

Posted on 11/05/2012 1:15:27 PM PST by LS

Mitt Romney is ahead by a single percentage point in Ohio, according to internal polling data provided to MailOnline by a Republican party source.

Internal campaign polling completed last night by campaign pollster Neil Newhouse has Romney three points up in New Hampshire, two points up in Iowa and dead level in Wisconsin and - most startlingly - Pennsylvania.

According to Harden (writer)...

If the Romney campaign's internal numbers are correct - and nearly all independent pollsters have come up with a picture much more favourable for Obama - then the former Massachusetts governor will almost certainly be elected 45th U.S. President.

Its all about turn out. This is tight as a tick. If Romney’s own pollster shows it tight then it’s tight.
Turn out will make the difference.

Newhouse would use something for turnout that he thinks is both accurate and yet, I’m sure, a tad conservative. I still think OH will be +3-4.

LS — am I correct in my thinking that they would not leak this unless they considered this to be excellent news?

Yet, these numbers show it to be very close. Are they trying to motivate GOTV?

Thanks.

So far, this election hasn’t shown any late break to the challenger, which almost always happens.

If it shows up tomorrow, we’ve got it. If not, we are going to be up late into the night with this one.

Praying for at least another 1% of our countrymen to come to their senses before they enter the voting booth tomorrow.

Do you think this is more cautious than Rasmussen’s party ID that said October was R +5? Are we looking at the results of a projected D +2 turnout?

On one hand, this is great news.

On the other, I was suspecting that our internals showed a little bit better of a picture.

At the end of the day, I’m not even sure I trust this information.

I would support a bill requiring that any bill which collects funds the private sector label the collection within the bill as as a tax if it relies upon it being a tax in order to comply with the interstate commerce clause of the US Constitution. If it is not labelled, then it cannot be considered a tax.

I think they know they are in great shape, esp. with early voting; and I think they want that added oomph in WI and PA; and I still think they may be using smoke and mirrors on NV (appropriate) and think that if they deflect a little the D base will lighten up and they’ll steal that too. Then OR may fall.

If he wins FL, VA, NC and OH he only needs 4 more EVs. Which could come from either NH or IA. WI and PA become irrelevant. So he only needs to carry the states this poll says he’s ahead in to win.

It is strange that NV is going the other way. Every winning president has won NV since 1980.

Why in the heck would this get leaked from Romney’s campaign to a U.K. newspaper with pictures of bikini babes running down the right hand side though?

Its all about turn out. Campaign Carl also said he saw some internals by Romney’s camp and there are several states tied or very close. Stop with the landslide talk people.
It’s all gonna be close depending on turn out. Romney has been living in OH, and now we know why.

LETS GO!! VOTE!!!!!

We have no idea if the source is good or if the source was being played a little and shown the most likely result, some other scenario or something preceding a more recent poll.

10 points would be 560,000. one point would be 56,000. It would probably involve a recount.

But it won't be one. It will be 2-3 if Romney's guy says one.

agreed but look at what we have to fight
a media which have ignored Libya,.
their lies about this terrorist attack.
Fast and furious.
Border agent being killed.
Green energy pay off scam and wasted money.
The economy.
rapes on men by men jumped up to 19,000 rapes in the first year of letting homosexuals and cross dressers serve in the military.
.

Then add that millions of racist blacks are voting because they have no idea what they;re voting for but hey obama is not white .

VA, FL, OH wudl not even be close if the Dems had a white guy instead of obama.
The media can say that is racist but it is the truth and trust me in the last few weeks I;ve had a couple of run ins with blacks saying so

I hope Neil Newhouse is as good as Richard Wirthlin, Ronald Reagan's pollster. Back in 1981, I had the sheer pleasure of taking a college statistics class from a professor which had worked for Wirthlin the months before.

I can't tell you everything I learned in the course or even most of it, but I do remember the serenity which Reagan enjoyed in the closing days of the campaign was due in no small part to the utter competence of Richard Wirthlin and his staff.

On election eve, watch PA. If Romney appears to be doing very well in PA (minus Philly, which will inevitably hold back its results until after midnight), to the point where Philly going 120% for Obama might not matter, then it's good nite for Obama.
