Wisconsin, the most schizophrenic state in the nation.

Wisconsin is example A of how screwed up our country is. Two years ago, we elected Scott Walker and Tea Party Senator Ron Johnson. The Republicans took over both the state assembly and state senate. In short, two years ago, the Republicans took our state back.

Tonight, our state voted to send the flaming liberal lesbian Tammy Baldwin to the US Senate, and re-elected Obama as POTUS. Despite that, tonight we also re-elected all our incumbent Republican US House members (republicans control 5 out of 8 House seats), added two seats to the Republican majority in the state senate, and will probably add two or three seats to the assembly majority.

I predicted yesterday that if turnout exceeded 2.9 million votes that Obama would win. It looks like turnout will exceed 3 million, so Obama won fairly easily and Tammy Baldwin rode along with him to her win in the US Senate.

We get the government we deserve, but I have a feeling the joy these Obamaites are feeling tonight will be short lived. The man they re-elected will be weighed down from the start by Benghazi, the Fast and Furious lawsuit will force him to release documents about Holders lies, and he has few friends even with his fellow deomocrats. I think our country is in big trouble, and Obama is exactly the wrong person to be in charge during these times.

Romney was actually Plan B.

Now it’s back to Plan A: Romney 2016!

The difference is because in 2010 Obama was not on the ticket. You always get a completely different turnout model in off year elections. How do you not know this by now? Of course 2010 would look nothing like 2012.

Wisconsin is a Democrat leaning state and Obama is a very popular Democrat. Of course they turn out and vote for him.

There is a different standard for recall rather than outright election. I don’t agree with their voting for Obama, but I understand the distinction.

Did you read my post? THIS ELECTION, the Republicans ADDED to both their state senate AND assembly majorities. In addition ALL our Republican congressmen were re-elected by wide margins. Only THREE of our EIGHT Congressional districts are controlled by Democrats. So even in a BIG TURNOUT year, in down ticket races, the Republicans won everything but the US Senate race. That is impossible for me to comprehend

2010 worked because the nation rejected Obamacare. 2012 did not work because the nation forgot it rejected Obamacare.

So you support legalizing millions of illegal immigrants in order to gain their support?

The Hispanic vote is not monolithic.

Which is to say that Rubio, a Cuban-American, wouldn't cut any ice with a Tex-Mex Hispanic, or a New Mexico Spanish-American, a Puerto Rican in The Bronx or a California illegal.

Obtaining the Hispanic vote is not so easy as running a candidate with a Spanish-sounding name.

In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled Wisconsin, the most schizophrenic state in the nation., barryobi wrote in reply to longbow 1969:

Your quite correct and as a matter of fact I don’t understand it. I suspect if Thompson and Romney would hold off on a “concession speech” they might find out they won.
But they won’t or at least carried Wisconsin.

All campaigns are won on bread and butter issues. Where Romney failed was to use the energy issue and instead came up with a nebulous economy position which was driven by the MSN...Obama didn’t win this election the socialist media did.

And the campaign hacks running these campaigns responding to the issues the MSM defines come up with a throw-a-way piece, which got tossed in the garbage. All they would have to do is go into a restaurant or a local bar and listen to the folks and find out what the key issue are. Not the freakin media.

As I’m composing this guttless Romney is conceding on Fox..citing “bipartisanship” which Obama used...Goodbye Mr Mitt...

Joe six pack isn still paying double for every thing because of the price of fuel. Why ? It was never explained to him. Policy! Which was never assailed because it requires using the word socialism. Well we can’t do that and go through the PC (politically correct) responses.
We’re So Screwed.....

“2010 worked because the nation rejected Obamacare. 2012 did not work because the nation forgot it rejected Obamacare.”

Simplest and most profound comment I’ve seen tonight.
