This is the last time I will be voting in a national election. I am in my 60's and have concluded that, if this is the kind of governing Americans want, they should have it...and all its consequences.
Sour grapes you say? Perhaps. But after four years of the most abysmally failed government with consistently high unemployment, 16 trillion dollars in national debt, downgrading of our bonds and monetary system with printing of dollars by the Fed, attacks against freedom of religion, a loss of American leadership in the world, class warfare, homosexuality embedded in our fabric, our nuclear family deconstructed by government policies, gun running to Mexico and lies about it before Congressional hearings, refusal to protect Americans serving in our embassies across the globe, an energy policy that has tripled the price of gasoline at the pump, a Justice Dept that treats people not according to an equal application of the law but according to politics, a politicized press that is derelict in adequately informing the people about its government, attacks against free markets and capitalism, and on and on and on...
If given all this, the American electorate is either too blind to see or thinks that this exemplifies good government, then have at it. Just count me out.
But, some day perhaps people will wake up. My guess is that it will be too late and things most cherished - civic values long held dear - will be gone forever.
In the meantime, this retiree will collect his pension and social security and together with savings watch those younger and smaller in number figure out how they will pay for all the 'government hand-outs' and supportive services the 'baby boomer' generation that is about to retire will require. All the time doing so without the tax revenue on the income they earned while working. They will have to figure out how they, a very much smaller cohort of taxpayers will make up the difference.
They will need to come up with some better ideas than one Barack Obama and his list of accomplishments from 2008 to present. Good luck but you won't be seeing me at the polls ever again. It's been a ride. Adios, Americanos.

At your age you should know the 4 years is not a lot of time.
The American electorate is not blind. As time passes it sees different things. At a given time it probably doesn’t see exactly the same things that you see.

Now just see how many will take the time to actually watch his predictions...it’s all there and we have been witnessing the progression right before our eyes.

I suppose the ultimate goal is to crush the dollar and have it no longer be the reserve currency,,,,that’ll teach us.
That is exactly what I have decided. I am in my 70's and even if I live long enough to vote again, I still won't.

I actually agree, which is why Obama needed to be defeated. He will ramp up the EPA regs, conduct amnesty-by-fiat and other things.
The silver lining is that the economy and the deficits is all on Obama, and if he wants to do the big things, its a compromise with Congress.
I dont have high hopes.

This auto cut thing going on at the end of December... it’s going to be the last nail in the coffin.
WE just put our flag pole up a year ago in April and there were times I wanted to lower it and fly it up side down. Last night was the last straw and Old Glory will not fly until 0bama is out of office and I hope to God we can spell Impeachment over the BEnghazi. I pray for Catherine and Jennifer’s safety as they are the only two really digging into this...
You are so right It is the stupid American who knows more about American Idol than what is going on in our nation that are the cause and as long as there are fools like this allowed in a voting booth we will continue to suffer through Commies, Marxists and other bad words I would be banned for if I printed them...How else can 53% think the nation is going the wrong way and reelect this assH&*(^

The media must be neutralized. (Note - the Department of Homeland Security, I am not advocating violence!) We are talking non-violent targeted boycott of every advertiser, encouraging people to get rid of their cable, satellite TV service and even streaming service as that will become infected soon also.
Starving the beast means starving the media companies. Maybe there is not enough of us to do it?

IMHO the lesson of the budget control act of 2011 has a shit sandwich called sequestration for Erkel Mugabes friends and foes alike.
Really bad for folks not used to such at their door steps here in the CONUS...... Gonna be ugly.

My dad was a World War 2 veteran. He had ribbons from all 3 theaters (Europe, Asia and America) and was awarded a Bronze Star. He enlisted in early 1942 and got out in 1945.
One day he took me aside, put his hands on my shoulders, looked me in the eye and said “Son, take your hands out of your pants”. I’ll never forgot those words.
Quitting never occurred to me. Too many people sacrificed more than I will ever realize for me to quit over a damned election. Many of them died with their last thought being their love for this country. I may run screaming like a small girl from ticks and clowns but I’ll fight for this country.
There is, absolutely, NO reason to give up!
We have an economy that is so huge...way more huge than the EU, China (that’s propaganda), or anywhere else on earth.
Run your bidness, enjoy the horses, and keep your family close.
Though, at some time, there probably will be a new reconstruction. Just look at FEMA shutting down because of the weather! I feel so badly for their situation...bad government leaders, and all.
It’s just that the south, who know how to be self sufficient, will be going north, this time.
