This Is The Last Time
Vanity | 11/07/12 | Veritas2002

Posted on 11/06/2012 11:39:37 PM PST by veritas2002

This is the last time I will be voting in a national election. I am in my 60's and have concluded that, if this is the kind of governing Americans want, they should have it...and all its consequences.

Sour grapes you say? Perhaps. But after four years of the most abysmally failed government with consistently high unemployment, 16 trillion dollars in national debt, downgrading of our bonds and monetary system with printing of dollars by the Fed, attacks against freedom of religion, a loss of American leadership in the world, class warfare, homosexuality embedded in our fabric, our nuclear family deconstructed by government policies, gun running to Mexico and lies about it before Congressional hearings, refusal to protect Americans serving in our embassies across the globe, an energy policy that has tripled the price of gasoline at the pump, a Justice Dept that treats people not according to an equal application of the law but according to politics, a politicized press that is derelict in adequately informing the people about its government, attacks against free markets and capitalism, and on and on and on...

If given all this, the American electorate is either too blind to see or thinks that this exemplifies good government, then have at it. Just count me out.

But, some day perhaps people will wake up. My guess is that it will be too late and things most cherished - civic values long held dear - will be gone forever.

In the meantime, this retiree will collect his pension and social security and together with savings watch those younger and smaller in number figure out how they will pay for all the 'government hand-outs' and supportive services the 'baby boomer' generation that is about to retire will require. All the time doing so without the tax revenue on the income they earned while working. They will have to figure out how they, a very much smaller cohort of taxpayers will make up the difference.

They will need to come up with some better ideas than one Barack Obama and his list of accomplishments from 2008 to present. Good luck but you won't be seeing me at the polls ever again. It's been a ride. Adios, Americanos.

Shrugging may be the only viable answer. Starve Leviathan so as to speed collapse, then maybe people will learn. I always thought Galt was a little evil for not only sitting idly but intentionally trying to wreck the US economy. Maybe he was right.

“The country was just given to him anyway. Obama wants a socialist country and America just gave him the thumbs up. Nothing we can do now.”

On the contrary, analyze the situation and deduce a logical resolution.

Most of the population has decided that they criminally want to take the money from those who labor to produce and give it effecively to themselves.

IE most of our population consist of criminals, so how do you protect yourself from criminals? You have to cut off their access to you and your property.

Normaly that involves throwing them in jail, but we can’t built a jail to hold the select majority of certant states so instead we must build the wall around ourselves. That of course means we require some from of secession & Independence.

There problem soved we can do something about this.

As I will not accept the enslavement of myself and my posterity to any man or group of men this is therefore my presumed coarse of action.

TX Chick - Well said.

If we can get some Republicans that can clearly illustrate to blacks that the Democrats are holding their entire race & culture down; only then might things change.

As for Hispanics, my wife is from Peru and came here at about age 21-22 some twenty years ago. She is a die-hard conservative after having to live through Socialism and a dictator, and terrorism. There is a glimmer of hope to capture some Hispanics but the window is closing.

But, as we all know, many government welfare parasites love being lazy and under-achievers.

Yeah, but they were wrong about Bush. He was Big Government through and through. And 04 wasn’t the real test, the really fad Iraq hangover and economic meltdown were later. We know how bad Obama is already. It’s there in black and white. Nothing is yet to be revealed. Not since damnable FDR has the electorate been this bonkers.

Well the house passed Ryan’s budget which died in the Senate. We are able to keep spending because of continuing resolutions from 2008’s budget, I think.

That would have to stop and the government starved of funds.

The GOP doesn’t have the stones.

I do not see good things happening.

I agree.

They sooner we its bottoms out the sooner it can reset.

I say the GOP also buys votes.

We should offer $500,000 and 1 acre in Manhattan for every vote.

New car for every illegal.

Increase Union government pensions three fold.

I’ll vote straight DNC for the balance of my life.

All Churchill got, aside from defeating the Nazis, was the opposite of what he wanted: no more empire, foreign policy dictated by foreigners, and the Iron Curtain. What crappy inspiration.

It is true that it is difficult to imagine how an entire race of people can be made to vote so unforminly for a particular party. Leads one to suspect there must either be something true in the ideas of eugenics or something about their propaganda campaign that keeps theses people political slaves to their race.

If it is a eugentics question than a change in policy is the only way to compete in theses commuities.

If however it is a propaganda issue then policy changes will at best produce only temporary results and that the real problem is that they are slaves to their racial leaders, and there is nothing we can do about it except sew rebellion which we have been trying to do for decades, or cut them off from our political system to force them into their own system composed entirely of their own race.(apparently the only race they can honestly debate with)

My view on voting is why should those of us in the red states even bother when everything hangs on OH. WI. MI, IND,
PA, VA, NC, FL..did I miss anyone? I mean who needs the rest of us to vote?

Don’t give up; just regroup your thoughts. Conservatism and self reliance was not the problem. We had a candidate that could not show enough people what self reliance and conservatism is(he didn’t connect) is vs. the other side just campaigning much better. It’s a terrible waste and such a hard lesson to endure..thanks to the same insiders running the party. They need to bring in younger people with good ideas. If they don’t, only becomes worse through the years. I always thought Obama would win so I am not shocked though sure do dread seeing him and his wife for 4 more years. His disdain for the constitution is hard to endure. One day, his lies/his administration’s corruption will be judged. Just don’t give up..next time..a stronger candidate vs an anybody but candidate.

“But, as we all know, many government welfare parasites love being lazy and under-achievers.”

That is human nature, you can expect it to be the case of most people when given the operunity. Such is the driving downfall of any and all democracy.

“As for Hispanics, my wife is from Peru and came here at about age 21-22 some twenty years ago. She is a die-hard conservative after having to live through Socialism and a dictator, and terrorism. There is a glimmer of hope to capture some Hispanics but the window is closing.”

I’m not sure what we can do, I don’t understand the concept of being a slave to ones race, as most people put into theses groups apparently are.

How is it that they can create such uniformity in political thought among an “ethic group” does that not necessarily require the suppression of their own native thoughts & instincts to comply with the demands & political doctrine of the “group”? If so there must be some kind of overwhelming pressure for members of this group to comply.

How we defeat & destroy that “pressure” will require greater knowledge of it. Knowledge and experience I am quite frankly equipment to get not bing a member of that group.

I can’t blame you. I feel the same way. I am powerless to wake the Sheeple and feel helpless to reverse the national decline. I am overwhelmed with a “why bother, what’s the point” feeling.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Sure it's imaginable.

All is has take is 100 to 150 years of government owned and run, socialist-funded, and single payer K-12 schools!

If children attend socialist and single payer schools, eventually, ( given a few generations) the nation will learn to worship at the altar of government and look toward collectivism as its savior and redeemer.

When will conservatives wake up and stop focused solely on the next election? If we are to save our nation we must shut down government schooling. It can't be reformed because it is never possible to reform socialism.

With all due respect, I think we got where we are because good men (and women) did nothing for too long! Now, conservative America has awakened to the fact that the socialists mean business and they laid the groundwork of this victory while we were off enjoying life and ignoring politics.
I am 67, and I know if I quit now my grandchildren will suffer needlessly.
I have just begun to fight. Who is with me?

I know how you feel. I thought about chucking politics myself a long time ago. I discovered I couldn’t. It would have been easier to do if I didn’t care what happens to this country. But I do care and so I’m drawn to politics like a lemming is to the ocean. Keep fighting the “unbeatable” foe. Don’t give up.

No! Holding the house will keep the commies partially in check. Let the Senate do nothing and the “POTUS” play dictator. Perhaps even the libs will realize their idiocy.

Yep, or he will cry, so as not to be labeled a racist by the Democrats! The RINOs have allowed for this outcome, our leadership had better start fearing God and His law or leave the Republican party!
