Posted on 11/07/2012 4:18:54 AM PST by The Ignorant Fisherman
Many of us could not imagine that Romney could lose this election, especially after four years of Obamas radical Marxism and its social and fiscal consequences that America will NEVER recover from. All the hype and all the Romney rallies; it indeed looked like a sure victory for Romney except for one equation, the Evangelical vote. We here at the IFB have talked back and forth among ourselves since the RNC convention and with others also in the know; that if the Evangelical vote did not show up on Nov. 6th the jig would be up and Romney would lose big and indeed he has.
Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way.
Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way. The Evangelical vote consists of the TRUE social and moral conservatives of the party (i.e., the Right). Romney and the GOP also gave very little time to the Tea Party who is the heart of the grass root movement and the engine of the Party! The viewer ratings for the 2012 RNC convention were way down, some 40% and many of us- including myself - did not watch one lick of it. Why should we have? We knew what we were getting and many of us felt dissd being left out as we were. That in its self should have set off warning bells to the RNC but in all honesty many of us who are Evangelicals were still going to vote for Romney holding our nose. It is our duty as Believers and an Americans to be salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and even though Romney was who he was; he was the better choice still and the lesser of the two evils for our nation. We were not going to trust in a Romney win but that a Romney win would slow down the final deterioration of our nation.
Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth and many have NOT forgotten it. Evangelicals felt betrayed and many did not vote for McCain in 2008 which gave Marxist Obama the victory. When you add the convention snub of Romney and the GOP that was the straw that broke the elephants back.

Now we come to today, the day after the election and we once more again see that the Evangelical vote has stayed home; and in doing so have given Obama another four years to finish the job of transforming our nation and fundamentally changing our culture and way of life which includes the elimination of sound biblical Christianity. I know I am going to get a ton of hate mail for this statement, but SHAME ON YOU for sitting home and not choosing to be light and exercising your God given right to vote (Matt. 5:13-16)! I know all sides of this argument and there is still absolutely NO excuse (Matt. 5:13-16). Your self righteous pride, biblical ignorance and foolishness has open wide the door now for Christian persecution in our nation and the end of the freedoms we have for the furtherance of the Gospel. My friends, indeed the Day of the Lord is at hand, but WOE to any who seek to bring it about who call on the Name of Jesus Christ by being idol and slothful. This is NOT a sanctification matter and God will hold you accountable for hiding your light and voice.
In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us.

I think of Samuel when all of Israel wanted a king and not the Lord (1 Sam. 8). It broke his heart and rightly so! He knew what was coming. Thus America in this election has said quite loudly that we DO NOT want the God given freedom to exercise what our Founding Fathers envisioned, which was based on the Laws of Nature and of Natures God. In doing so we have REJECTED the Judeo/ Christian values and ideals which once made this country great. We have now as a nation fully taken on the mantle of Lawlessness and the spirit of Anti Christ as our nations ideology and culture.
Indeed, we as Evangelicals will now see what we must surely endure under lawless administration of Barack H. Obama and many Evangelicasl will be sifted and found wanting. That there... you can take to the bank!
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
God is a jealous God and will not be mocked !
All of this anger today should be focused on the Mitt-bot mormon mafia !! WE told them from day one we wouldn't vote for thier cult leader and they didn't listen. They caused and OWN this !
The surprise of this loss only comes from those RINOs and so-called Christians who refuse to listen to the warnings about the mormon cult.
He is my God and I stood with him last night.
If we as a nation repent he can and will save us, even from Obama.
If we do not, the end is in sight, and the method of fall obvious...
You may not have believed Romney could not lose to obama, those of us with grey matter knew he couldn’t win.
If you run bad candidates you lose, it’s that simple.
And exactly how do we know it was specifically "evangelicals" who stayed home, as opposed to any other group? The ballot I cast yesterday was anonymous.
Bottom line a liberal running against a liberal - only a liberal wins.
Thank you for your support. I admit I was shocked at the vitrol spewed at me from other people who claim to be Conservatives and some even Christian.
My only guess is they (like all of us) are shocked and puzzled at how we could lose to Obama AGAIN and I’m an easy target. We all need to pray right now, for this country and for each other.
God bless you brother.
muslims do not claim to be Christians.
Ya figure Jesus is happier now that we have Obama destroying the Country instead of Romney???
The reason I had to vote for Romney is Israel...By rejecting Romney, we have rejected Israel...
And just like four years ago, capitulating conservatives nominated a liberal to run as an R.
I would rather deal with four years olds than cowardly conservatives, at least four year olds will learn something eventually.
Now they try to blame those they alienated in the base???
Did they think that they could win by taking the base for granted???
Yes, they did. Blame the GOP e for their pride and arrogance.

Bingo, AMPU. As I said earlier (either on this thread or another), I’m tired of dating my rapist (which is how the GOP treats conservatives) and I think a lot of others are as well.
“I think we all agree with Mormon values.”
And you would be wrong.
Now that the evil-doer has been re-elected because Romney wasn’t good enough for people like you, I’m scheduling my first surgery to get ahead of the rationing lines in obamacare. It’s now or never to get my torn rotator cuff surgery.
Even though I live in PA & Romney had no real chance here, I voted for him & so did my daughters. I Despise obama...
I HAVE HAD ENOUGH WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO HAVE NOT LIVED IN THE CULT TELLING ME ABOUT MORMON VALUES !!
You do not know what you are talking about.
The sooner you people realize that ONLY WE, WHO HAVE LIVED IT, truly understand, that we were saved to be used to warn others by God, the sooner wou will understand the danger we were in !!
I am a descendant of Martin Harris, lived 35 years in the cult, was a "High Priest" and bishopric memeber, same as Romney, and VERY MUCH psychologically controlled and damaged. Saved only by the grace of God which I do not deserve.
WAKE UP !!
In the meantime since you're so enamoured with "mormon values" at least you have Harry Reid (a more open and honest mormon than Romney) to keep you entertained.
10-4. We voted for the best guy to be president. I was not electing a new pastor for my church. We voted for the person of the 2 running, that would do the best for the COUNTRY. Not for my soul. Jesus Christ has that locked up tight. And that is where I will put my faith every second of the day.
WHATEVER. Gotta go. I have a lunch date with Satan, the Boogeyman, Bal
and Mitt Romney.
You should have just said:My pastor got up the Sunday before the election day and did a sermon on how Mormanism is a cult. I am leaving this church as I think
electing a Muslim is a worse sin. supporting a cult member is more important to me that God Almighty I was appalled
And idolatry is exactly what it is. Well said, brother. I am saddened at the number of people who claim to follow Christ yet put their faith aside for politics.
My faith is more important to me than anything else, Christ said we would have to count the cost of following Him and often that cost is worldly gain.
I don’t think Evangelicals stayed home. Of course, I live in Missouri, and Romney won here. I was actually surprised how many of my Christian friends and family jumped on the Romney bandwagon so quickly. I was one of the only ones to express reservations about Romney. I ended up voting for Romney, with a clear conscience, because the alternative is so sickening and unacceptable. I wanted to give my kids a fighting chance or at least get another four years to prepare for what’s coming. I am tired of having to vote for the squishy moderate, because he’ll “appeal to independents”. We’ve tried it twice, and it hasn’t worked. Perhaps the electorate is too far gone, and the takers outnumber the makers. I still wish we had gone with someone like Sarah. I would rather go down fighting with a full conservative banner flying than go down with a wimpy, half-hearted whimper. I wasn’t as emotionally invested in Romney as I was in Sarah, so it doesn’t sting as much in that way. However, I deeply grieve for our country and worry about my children’s opportunities. I am having a hard time accepting this is the “new America”. The only conclusion I can reach is we need God more than ever before. We’re going to be having a “come to Jesus meeting” soon, whether literally or figuratively.
Excellent analogy brother.
