Posted on 11/07/2012 4:18:54 AM PST by The Ignorant Fisherman
Many of us could not imagine that Romney could lose this election, especially after four years of Obamas radical Marxism and its social and fiscal consequences that America will NEVER recover from. All the hype and all the Romney rallies; it indeed looked like a sure victory for Romney except for one equation, the Evangelical vote. We here at the IFB have talked back and forth among ourselves since the RNC convention and with others also in the know; that if the Evangelical vote did not show up on Nov. 6th the jig would be up and Romney would lose big and indeed he has.
Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way.
Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way. The Evangelical vote consists of the TRUE social and moral conservatives of the party (i.e., the Right). Romney and the GOP also gave very little time to the Tea Party who is the heart of the grass root movement and the engine of the Party! The viewer ratings for the 2012 RNC convention were way down, some 40% and many of us- including myself - did not watch one lick of it. Why should we have? We knew what we were getting and many of us felt dissd being left out as we were. That in its self should have set off warning bells to the RNC but in all honesty many of us who are Evangelicals were still going to vote for Romney holding our nose. It is our duty as Believers and an Americans to be salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and even though Romney was who he was; he was the better choice still and the lesser of the two evils for our nation. We were not going to trust in a Romney win but that a Romney win would slow down the final deterioration of our nation.
Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth and many have NOT forgotten it. Evangelicals felt betrayed and many did not vote for McCain in 2008 which gave Marxist Obama the victory. When you add the convention snub of Romney and the GOP that was the straw that broke the elephants back.

Now we come to today, the day after the election and we once more again see that the Evangelical vote has stayed home; and in doing so have given Obama another four years to finish the job of transforming our nation and fundamentally changing our culture and way of life which includes the elimination of sound biblical Christianity. I know I am going to get a ton of hate mail for this statement, but SHAME ON YOU for sitting home and not choosing to be light and exercising your God given right to vote (Matt. 5:13-16)! I know all sides of this argument and there is still absolutely NO excuse (Matt. 5:13-16). Your self righteous pride, biblical ignorance and foolishness has open wide the door now for Christian persecution in our nation and the end of the freedoms we have for the furtherance of the Gospel. My friends, indeed the Day of the Lord is at hand, but WOE to any who seek to bring it about who call on the Name of Jesus Christ by being idol and slothful. This is NOT a sanctification matter and God will hold you accountable for hiding your light and voice.
In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us.

I think of Samuel when all of Israel wanted a king and not the Lord (1 Sam. 8). It broke his heart and rightly so! He knew what was coming. Thus America in this election has said quite loudly that we DO NOT want the God given freedom to exercise what our Founding Fathers envisioned, which was based on the Laws of Nature and of Natures God. In doing so we have REJECTED the Judeo/ Christian values and ideals which once made this country great. We have now as a nation fully taken on the mantle of Lawlessness and the spirit of Anti Christ as our nations ideology and culture.
Indeed, we as Evangelicals will now see what we must surely endure under lawless administration of Barack H. Obama and many Evangelicasl will be sifted and found wanting. That there... you can take to the bank!
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
It’s not the lack of evangelicals, it’s not the anti romney groups, the truth is that there are so many idiots in this country willing to give a communist a second chance that is the problem.
I think if we had a conservative candidate with an actual plan AND a willingness to call a spade a spade, we might have been able to counteract some of the Kool-Aid.
I can’t imagine there’s ever been a clearer choice in my lifetime. This was Marxism vs. capitalism, pure and simple. But, the Romney campaign was either too afraid or too blind to go there.
Obama kept talking about how there was a clear choice between two distinct visions for the country. Romney could have hit that one out of the park time and again.
As I’ve been saying lately, our nation’s eventual downfall will be largely attributed to (1) the widespread, willful ignorance of basic economics and civics, and (2) the triumph of emotion over reason. But, more than that, it’s people turning to government for security and salvation.
(New tagline debuting today, especially for any of our FRiends tempted to worry about the next four years.)
Read the numbers - Goode made ZERO difference, Johnson lost Romney three states.
All the information is there - READ it
bookmark. Thanks for posting the numbers.
Thanks for this thread.
The Lord made it manifestly clear to me that I was to vote against that Nebakanezer in the White House.

Me too, which is why I didn’t vote for either of them. I voted against BOTH of the evils.
Well folks, there is ONE shining ray of satisfaction for the mormon church in this defeat....this is just one more example of the persecution it has embraced for 180 years and members and supporters can spend the next 50 years whining about it.
Salt Lake was a little hasty in dropping the missionary age to take advantage of Mitt's win. They will now have 100,000 young men going out into the world every single day proclaiming to Christians that their Christian faith is bogus and the only way to salvation lies in arcane rituals in the mormon temple.
I will remind you all that Mitt has taken this oath many times in his temple visits:
"You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the Law of Consecration as contained in the Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion."
We will not have to now wonder if Mitt would put his Oath of Office before his oath to his religion.
Maybe if the GOP had endorsed a real conservative, things would have been different.
OTOH, this country has rejected God on so many levels, that God has finally given it what it wants. We’re just caught in the fallout.

The whiners on FR not only knew nothing of mormonISM, they apparently know nothing of liberalISM either.
Romney is a practitioner of mormonISM and he was also a liberal - but hell he was the only guy who could beat obama after all.
God threw us a life-line and we chose not to hold on - because it wasnt a perfect life-line.
- - - - -
Mitt was NO lifeline and no one expected him to be ‘perfect’ but we did expect him to actually fight for the office and be a CONSERVATIVE which he is NOT.
And if you think Mitt would bring us ‘restoration’, I have a bridge to sell you. The only ‘restoration’ America would get from him is the ‘restored gospel’ of Mormonism.
I have no doubt that if God sent us a lifeline, we through him (or her) out in the primaries and Romney was our punishment.
“Stupid is as stupid does...but Im being redundant.”
Bless your heart.

And Mitt was neither of those, not really. Mitt just lies well. Both Sentinel and I have YEARS of experience with people JUST like Mitt and see them for the lying snakes they really are.
We did not, and therefore are entitled to plead for his help against the unGodly communist in the white house.

Very well said.
What? Now you speak for God.
The reality is that God probably said no man who openly blasphemies Me and My Son will be president.
Unfortunately all of us get to suffer because capitulating so called self proclaimed conservatives abandoned God Almighty out of fear for a man who belongs to a cult that calls itself christian and is not.
I guess you forgot the separation of church and state..
- - - - -
And thank you for showing you have no idea what the doctrine of separation of church and state really is.
The Obama/Romney "choice" was a punishment.
It's amazing after all these years of warning them, they now turn toward us with their anger. The ones who did this to us know who they are and are showing it by their absence here today.
Either that or they are having a hard time computing another false "prophecy" by FLDS/LDS "prophet" Joseph Smith.
I am also a Marine Corps veteran and retired from the AF over 19 years ago. Your preaching and yelling rant is laughable.
You are still a moron. You use your faith and your interpretation of it to justify not voting for a viable alternative to a dictator because your belief is intolerant and blind to another’s. That intolerance is no different than the single-minded intolerance of democrats to anything other than socialism and their power.
You saved nobody’s butt you pompous, pious ass and you assisted the elements of darkness to put our country in jeopardy.
Your withholding of a vote that might save the Constitution abandons the nation and is no different than the kenyan’s decision to abandon americans in Bengazi.
You have no idea what I know directly about mormonism, or anything else for that matter yet you rant and rave and say I have no experience or knowledge. That is self-righteous beyond the pale.
When it comes to this nation and the Constitution, I don’t give a rat’s ass about Romney’s mormonism any more than I give a rat’s ass about your religious beliefs. His beliefs are his, yours are yours, and mine are mine; and no, I am not a mormon. Those beliefs are yours and they have nothing, I repeat NOTHING to do with defending a Constitution that protects your rights to religious belief.
You stand your ground, and look for no help when they remove your most cherished rights; just stand there, firm in your belief that you did right when the shell impacts you. We all yelled “incoming” and you stood by your faith that God would save the nation when God left that to us by way of our vote for Romney.
The rest of us will do our best to keep and restore all of those rights you are willing to give up because you don’t like another’s religious beliefs.
I’d send you a Semper Fi but your fidelity does not seem to include defending our Constitution; I will not waste it.
If God sent us Obama to judge us, why are you assuming that he did not also send us Romney to do the same?
What has the republican party done to end abortion nationwide in 40 years?
