Posted on 11/07/2012 4:18:54 AM PST by The Ignorant Fisherman
Many of us could not imagine that Romney could lose this election, especially after four years of Obamas radical Marxism and its social and fiscal consequences that America will NEVER recover from. All the hype and all the Romney rallies; it indeed looked like a sure victory for Romney except for one equation, the Evangelical vote. We here at the IFB have talked back and forth among ourselves since the RNC convention and with others also in the know; that if the Evangelical vote did not show up on Nov. 6th the jig would be up and Romney would lose big and indeed he has.
Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way.
Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way. The Evangelical vote consists of the TRUE social and moral conservatives of the party (i.e., the Right). Romney and the GOP also gave very little time to the Tea Party who is the heart of the grass root movement and the engine of the Party! The viewer ratings for the 2012 RNC convention were way down, some 40% and many of us- including myself - did not watch one lick of it. Why should we have? We knew what we were getting and many of us felt dissd being left out as we were. That in its self should have set off warning bells to the RNC but in all honesty many of us who are Evangelicals were still going to vote for Romney holding our nose. It is our duty as Believers and an Americans to be salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and even though Romney was who he was; he was the better choice still and the lesser of the two evils for our nation. We were not going to trust in a Romney win but that a Romney win would slow down the final deterioration of our nation.
Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth and many have NOT forgotten it. Evangelicals felt betrayed and many did not vote for McCain in 2008 which gave Marxist Obama the victory. When you add the convention snub of Romney and the GOP that was the straw that broke the elephants back.

Now we come to today, the day after the election and we once more again see that the Evangelical vote has stayed home; and in doing so have given Obama another four years to finish the job of transforming our nation and fundamentally changing our culture and way of life which includes the elimination of sound biblical Christianity. I know I am going to get a ton of hate mail for this statement, but SHAME ON YOU for sitting home and not choosing to be light and exercising your God given right to vote (Matt. 5:13-16)! I know all sides of this argument and there is still absolutely NO excuse (Matt. 5:13-16). Your self righteous pride, biblical ignorance and foolishness has open wide the door now for Christian persecution in our nation and the end of the freedoms we have for the furtherance of the Gospel. My friends, indeed the Day of the Lord is at hand, but WOE to any who seek to bring it about who call on the Name of Jesus Christ by being idol and slothful. This is NOT a sanctification matter and God will hold you accountable for hiding your light and voice.
In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us.
In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us. I think of Samuel when all of Israel wanted a king and not the Lord (1 Sam. 8). It broke his heart and rightly so! He knew what was coming. Thus America in this election has said quite loudly that we DO NOT want the God given freedom to exercise what our Founding Fathers envisioned, which was based on the Laws of Nature and of Natures God. In doing so we have REJECTED the Judeo/ Christian values and ideals which once made this country great. We have now as a nation fully taken on the mantle of Lawlessness and the spirit of Anti Christ as our nations ideology and culture.
Indeed, we as Evangelicals will now see what we must surely endure under lawless administration of Barack H. Obama and many Evangelicasl will be sifted and found wanting. That there... you can take to the bank!
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
I feel fine, thanks for asking. I’m worried about this country, but I would feel the same no matter who won last night.
God is in His Heaven and I will trust in Him to see us through this.
Yes Kevin, do you really think having a a Second Third of Government controlled by a cult that requires secret death oaths of allegiance is separation of church and state ?
You do know that Harry Reid, Senate President is a temple mormon also, right ?
The first amendment is what we protected with our vote ! Wake up !
And its people like you that got us Romney.
That is laughable.
I guess you read that in the pretend Constitution.
Because we know you know zero about the real Constitution.
Find me a Conservative prolife promarriage athiest and we will talk. Obama isn’t any of those and neither is Romney.
I don’t only vote for Evangelicals so your straw man doesn’t work, however all other things being equal I will vote for a Christian over a non-believer and I will NEVER vote for a Mormon because it would be hypocritical of me to do so since I spend my time and energy to fighting Mormonism in an almost full time legitimate ministry (and I’m not talking about FR).
If you don’t mind being a hypocrite fine, but I won’t do it.
You don’t sound like a nutcase, I think you are exactly correct. What is going on now, reminds me so much of the pattern of God’s dealings with Israel in the Old Testament.
I take it you aren’t a Christian then. Fine its your soul.
Oh and tell Mitt that his nephew still owes me $20 from when we were at BYU.
We Inmans have been vindicated. And as much as I hate saying this simply because it means four more years of Obama....
WE TOLD YA’LL SO!
(now on with the ‘Mormons are such good neighbors’ tripe we continually hear on Freerepublic)
God handed us over to our desires. End.of.story.
The reason I had to vote for Romney is Israel...By rejecting Romney, we have rejected Israel...

Actually, dear, by supporting Romney you rejected Israel as well since Mormons believe that THEY are ISRAEL and Jews are ‘gentiles’ and that “ZION” is here in the US not the Middle east.
When Mormons say they support Israel, they are talking about Mormonism, not the Biblical Israel.
I can document it if you would like.
BTW, I voted for a man who actually supported Israel without redefining it to mean his cult.
And either Romney or Obama is the punishment of God on this country.

One other VERY important point. the USA is NOT the protector of the Nation of Israel, God is. It appears you are putting more faith in the USA than in God.
Who says they're mutually exclusive?
I know a top notch surgeon who is a born again Christian and while I don't know what version of the Bible he reads, I'll bet he doesn't cut his grass on Sundays either.
And besides, Mitt was for national health care. What on God's green earth makes you think that you'll get the best doctor available under that paradigm?
What makes you think you'll get ANY doctor? It would all depend on whether the death panels approve you case.
"Conservative" voters certainly stayed home this time leaving the election to be decided by queers, witches, stoners and the usual libs.
I cant imagine theres ever been a clearer choice in my lifetime. This was Marxism vs. capitalism, pure and simple. But, the Romney campaign was either too afraid or too blind to go there.
I just don't know. I believe I have allowed my ears to be tickled by people like Rush who were saying what I wanted to hear about how well Romney was doing and how well conservatism is doing.
Obama kept talking about how there was a clear choice between two distinct visions for the country. Romney could have hit that one out of the park time and again.
BHO got up and said that he cut the deficit just a day or two ago. He said it to a crowd of cheering people!!! I just do not get it. Reality means nothing.
As Ive been saying lately, our nations eventual downfall will be largely attributed to (1) the widespread, willful ignorance of basic economics and civics, and (2) the triumph of emotion over reason. But, more than that, its people turning to government for security and salvation.
Pundits who have spend years pouring over the electorate blew it, who am I to try to sum up what happened. I'm into Danial 4:17 today.
This proves right here you don't know what you're talking about. Mormonism is a dangerous cult intet on taking over the federal government. Joseph Smith said he would be a "Second Mohammed" and it would be "him or the sword". I speak from experience brother, it is no more another harmless corner church than ISLAM ! They teach kids that "When the leaders speak, the thinking has been done."
I can see by your remarks that you feel entitled to my vote...For a man more liberal than Bill Clinton with a lifetime of decpetion training under a cult. To that I respond that God is more entitled to my loyalty.
You made your choice, and I made mine, and I hope we are both men enough to live with the consequences.
I imagine there were days before Chamberlain's embarassment that Churchhill took a beating like I and my cohorts are today.
Peace in our time with the mormons in charge !
That is pure bovine excrement.
You have apparently know idea what mormonISM teaches about Israel. Good grief man read a damn book, be informed about the people you support.
Sorry to hear this. Sending prayers...
Jesus died for people - He didnt die for a plot of land....the notion is Old Testament based and frankly, we live under a new Covenant.
Until this Nation people repent, not a thing will change, and we deserve every bit of His ire
Yes they did. The Republican party is not good at getting out the vote, the dims are a machine. I have talked to several conservatives this morning that are upset that Obama won and yet they did NOT vote. Not one of them I talked to said they stayed home because Romney is a Mormon, or not conservative enough. Excuses ranged from just moved didn't get re-registered- really busy, several were traveling unexpectedly and a couple are not even registered. We really need to work now to get out the vote or we will never even get a RINO elected much less a conservative.
You are correct.
I weep for what once was America.
You might call it "hate mail" but you need to realize that the responses are more likely sound rebukes from Christian brothers and sisters. Before you rebuke others of self-righteous pride, you might want to prayerfully consider Matthew 7:3-5. The above paragraph reeks of the attitude that you accuse others of holding.
Those of us who, for conscience reasons, couldn't bring ourselves to vote for Romney aren't fearful of judgement for doing so. For even if we did sin for voting as we did, we didn't commit the unforgivable sin and were simply mistaken in our attempts to follow God's will. The grace of Jesus Christ would cover that "sin".
NOT a sanctification issue? What exactly do you mean by that? You aren't suggesting that those who didn't vote like you did have lost their salvation? If you are, you might want to rethink accusing others of biblical ignorance.
So you DIDN’T vote Romney — you might as well stayed at home. Your precious Virgil Goode vote was a wasted vote.
