Romney Loss - Evangelicals "Again" Stayed Home
IFB ^ | 11/7/12

Posted on 11/07/2012 4:18:54 AM PST by The Ignorant Fisherman

Many of us could not imagine that Romney could lose this election, especially after four years of Obama’s radical Marxism and its social and fiscal consequences that America will NEVER recover from. All the hype and all the Romney rallies; it indeed looked like a sure victory for Romney except for one equation, the Evangelical vote. We here at the IFB have talked back and forth among ourselves since the RNC convention and with others also in the know; that if the Evangelical vote did not show up on Nov. 6th the jig would be up and Romney would lose big… and indeed he has.

Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way.

Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way. The Evangelical vote consists of the TRUE social and moral conservatives of the party (i.e., the Right). Romney and the GOP also gave very little time to the Tea Party who is the heart of the grass root movement and the engine of the Party! The viewer ratings for the 2012 RNC convention were way down, some 40% and many of us- including myself - did not watch one lick of it. Why should we have? We knew what we were getting and many of us felt “diss’d” being left out as we were. That in its self should have set off warning bells to the RNC but in all honesty many of us who are Evangelicals were still going to vote for Romney holding our nose. It is our duty as Believers and an Americans to be salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and even though Romney was who he was; he was the better choice still and the lesser of the two evils for our nation. We were not going to trust in a Romney win but that a Romney win would slow down the final deterioration of our nation.

Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth and many have NOT forgotten it. Evangelicals felt betrayed and many did not vote for McCain in 2008 which gave Marxist Obama the victory. When you add the convention snub of Romney and the GOP that was the straw that broke the elephants back.

Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth.

Now we come to today, the day after the election and we once more again see that the Evangelical vote has stayed home; and in doing so have given Obama another four years to finish the job of transforming our nation and fundamentally changing our culture and way of life which includes the elimination of sound biblical Christianity. I know I am going to get a ton of hate mail for this statement, but SHAME ON YOU for sitting home and not choosing to be light and exercising your God given right to vote (Matt. 5:13-16)! I know all sides of this argument and there is still absolutely NO excuse (Matt. 5:13-16). Your self righteous pride, biblical ignorance and foolishness has open wide the door now for Christian persecution in our nation and the end of the freedoms we have for the furtherance of the Gospel. My friends, indeed the Day of the Lord is at hand, but WOE to any who seek to bring it about who call on the Name of Jesus Christ by being idol and slothful. This is NOT a sanctification matter and God will hold you accountable for hiding your light and voice.

In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us.

In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us. I think of Samuel when all of Israel wanted a king and not the Lord (1 Sam. 8). It broke his heart and rightly so! He knew what was coming. Thus America in this election has said quite loudly that we DO NOT want the God given freedom to exercise what our Founding Fathers envisioned, which was based on the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God. In doing so we have REJECTED the Judeo/ Christian values and ideals which once made this country great. We have now as a nation fully taken on the mantle of Lawlessness and the spirit of Anti Christ as our nation’s ideology and culture.

Indeed, we as Evangelicals will now see what we must surely endure under lawless administration of Barack H. Obama and many Evangelicasl will be sifted and found wanting. That there... you can take to the bank!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

By rejecting Romney, we have rejected Israel..

Which Isreal, ...Isreal ? Or Salt Lake City which mormons teach is "New Isreal"...What you were hearing when Romney talked about support for Isreal was in part cult code speak for supporting Salt Lake City !!

Heck while we're on that topic did you know they teach the Garden of Eden was in Missouri ?

Wake up ! You wouldn't want Harold Camping or Bernie Madoff or Warren Jeffs in the White house, but Romney brings all of those things with him !!

We will not have to now wonder if Mitt would put his Oath of Office before his oath to his religion.

this is total BS where I live

the white vote for Romney was almost as high as ever

87% in Mississippi

75% in Williamson county TN...where btw...like the Piedmont and NOVA we have a buttload of Yankee newbies to offset

this is not about not conservative enough

it is about demographics but the stupids here will never ever get it

white America is over...without being a minority we are now an effective one when almost 60% voted GOP and we still lost

is that so hard to comprehend

half you Yankees here wouldn’t know an evangelical if they sat on yer face

oh it gets better

guess who really didn’t come through..again?

Catholics and Northern whites...go look in the damned mirror fool

You put your faith in God to put the dictator out and professed it by not voting for Romney. God just told you that it was up to you to remove the kenyan by voting for the one person who could get enough votes to displace him.

Ummm...God directed me how I was to vote. I was not the deciding vote in my state much less this country. I voted as I believe God wanted Me to vote. God never said it was up to me to get rid of Obama, just to not vote for evil and both are evil. And perhaps you should re-read that 5th chapter of Daniel you alluded to see that your comment isn't in context.

Now what have you accomplished? You put your concepts of faith before preserving the Constitution that protects your concepts of faith and your rights to hold them.

What have I accomplished? I voted my conscience and avoided being a hypocrite of denying my faith. YES I DID put my FAITH before POLITICS AS ALL CHRISTIANS SHOULD!!!! The Constitution doesn't protect my faith, GOD does, even the Constitution says that they are GOD given rights not political given rights. I will still have my faith if the Constitution is gone (which isn't really going to happen, sorry, that is just a typical fear tactic) and if you put politics over your faith than fine, but don't claim to be a Christian because ALL Christians KNOW that God comes first and are willing to die for their faith in Christ.

I am at peace if I am arrested or killed for my faith and witness of Christ. Christ himself said not to fear those that can kill the body but those who can send both body and soul to hell. Just as the early Christian church survived the persecution of the Romans, so will the Body of Christ survive Obama.

You had better start praying very hard that the Constitution and our freedoms can somehow be saved because God left the removal of the dictator to you and your vote and you have been found lacking.

God didn't leave the removal of Obama just to me, and my vote may be lacking in your very human (and unChristian) eyes, but last time I checked you aren't God and America isn't God's chosen people. You have put your political views over God and you will be judged for that and found lacking.

You left off your list of "mormon values" the one that forbids parents, friends and family members from attending a wedding in the temple UNLESS they are members with "temple recommends" and UNLESS they have fully paid their 10% tithing..in full!

Example here

I have to agree with you, the cavers are the ones to blame for Romney being the nominee because they believed the lie that he was ‘electable’ even when we warned them this would happen.

Because our time is running out - we will not make it to 2016 - meanwhile babies will continue to be slaughtered

There also is a time to be a realist - God will not continue to allow us to mock Him - we will be judged - and that time is near. His judgements on Israel were severe - and that is waht we are bringing on ourselves

- - - - - -
yes we will. And babies would continue to be slaughtered under Romney. Have you forgotten that he was really Pro-abortion?!

And voting for a man who holds the views of God that Romney does ALSO mocks God. We brought this on ourselves, I agree and this time there was no way out because we chose politics over God by nominating Romney in the first place.

Coming to know our ancestors helps us better understand who we are, builds bridges between the generations, and binds families together.

So you DIDN’T vote Romney — you might as well stayed at home. Your precious Virgil Goode vote was a wasted vote.

- - - —
No vote is EVER wasted, because it sends a message no matter how small. And staying home isn’t an option. Goode was on my ballot and my party’s candidate (I switched to Constitution party from the GOP this year because of Romney’s liberalism).

I did my duty (voted) and voted my conscience. And it didn’t have an affect on my state’s election, but according you your logic every vote for Romney past a plurality is a wasted vote too since once the plurality is met, the electoral votes are in so it doesn’t matter who or how much over a candidate gets.

So, if I were to use your (non) logic, then I could say your vote for Romney was wasted as well.

I'm not suicidal, just disappointed. I live in the Buckle of the Bible Belt, and Evangelicals voted by the millons for Romney. I would have felt the same about a Catholic candidate. I don't agree with their theology, but.......

Of course. But the Evangelical vote was split all the same. If 10% stay home it doesn't show in the 'buckle of the Bible Belt'. it looks the same. But it shows up big-time where Christians do not hold primacy... where other issues intrude. Splitting the Christians will ALWAYS cause a loss.

I am one who didn't vote for Romney. I could not overlook his record wrt abortion and homosexual marriage... not to mention a million other liberal positions and his direct opposition to Reagan and Conservatives. I am against Mormonism, but had he been true to what Mormons are out here in the west, I probably would have voted for him.

they would choose the doctrinally sound.

what do they say?:
“There no foolishness like the foolishness of fools.”
“Foolish is as foolish does.”

It is futile. Sound judgment: “It’s against my religion.”
KG, you are attacking their religion.

All of the mittbots who hammered JR and FR, called us bigots and told us we were wrong - where are they at today. Mitt was unacceptable from the start because of his RECORD as governor. He would have lost even if he wasn't a mormon. It was his to lose.

I listed several ‘societal values’ that Mormons practice and believe.

The list you gave is nice, but it is pure propaganda designed to make the Mormon church look good to outsiders, that isnt’ the reality at all as anyone (like me, Sentinel and others here) who lived it will tell you.
