Posted on 11/07/2012 4:18:54 AM PST by The Ignorant Fisherman
Many of us could not imagine that Romney could lose this election, especially after four years of Obamas radical Marxism and its social and fiscal consequences that America will NEVER recover from. All the hype and all the Romney rallies; it indeed looked like a sure victory for Romney except for one equation, the Evangelical vote. We here at the IFB have talked back and forth among ourselves since the RNC convention and with others also in the know; that if the Evangelical vote did not show up on Nov. 6th the jig would be up and Romney would lose big and indeed he has.
Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way.
Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way. The Evangelical vote consists of the TRUE social and moral conservatives of the party (i.e., the Right). Romney and the GOP also gave very little time to the Tea Party who is the heart of the grass root movement and the engine of the Party! The viewer ratings for the 2012 RNC convention were way down, some 40% and many of us- including myself - did not watch one lick of it. Why should we have? We knew what we were getting and many of us felt dissd being left out as we were. That in its self should have set off warning bells to the RNC but in all honesty many of us who are Evangelicals were still going to vote for Romney holding our nose. It is our duty as Believers and an Americans to be salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and even though Romney was who he was; he was the better choice still and the lesser of the two evils for our nation. We were not going to trust in a Romney win but that a Romney win would slow down the final deterioration of our nation.
Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth and many have NOT forgotten it. Evangelicals felt betrayed and many did not vote for McCain in 2008 which gave Marxist Obama the victory. When you add the convention snub of Romney and the GOP that was the straw that broke the elephants back.
Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth.
Now we come to today, the day after the election and we once more again see that the Evangelical vote has stayed home; and in doing so have given Obama another four years to finish the job of transforming our nation and fundamentally changing our culture and way of life which includes the elimination of sound biblical Christianity. I know I am going to get a ton of hate mail for this statement, but SHAME ON YOU for sitting home and not choosing to be light and exercising your God given right to vote (Matt. 5:13-16)! I know all sides of this argument and there is still absolutely NO excuse (Matt. 5:13-16). Your self righteous pride, biblical ignorance and foolishness has open wide the door now for Christian persecution in our nation and the end of the freedoms we have for the furtherance of the Gospel. My friends, indeed the Day of the Lord is at hand, but WOE to any who seek to bring it about who call on the Name of Jesus Christ by being idol and slothful. This is NOT a sanctification matter and God will hold you accountable for hiding your light and voice.
In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us.
In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us. I think of Samuel when all of Israel wanted a king and not the Lord (1 Sam. 8). It broke his heart and rightly so! He knew what was coming. Thus America in this election has said quite loudly that we DO NOT want the God given freedom to exercise what our Founding Fathers envisioned, which was based on the Laws of Nature and of Natures God. In doing so we have REJECTED the Judeo/ Christian values and ideals which once made this country great. We have now as a nation fully taken on the mantle of Lawlessness and the spirit of Anti Christ as our nations ideology and culture.
Indeed, we as Evangelicals will now see what we must surely endure under lawless administration of Barack H. Obama and many Evangelicasl will be sifted and found wanting. That there... you can take to the bank!
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
Tell us of your travels in Russia...
...you don't have quite enough straw for this one.
Had not Romney already not been on the ballot in all states...the Romney voters effectively would have done that...They then could have written: 'god in embryo'...[what official Mormon doctrine is of their 'temple' Mormons]...kind of like Jesus in Mary's womb...all over again, courtesy of the Mormon god sending Mitt & others from the planet near Kolob to us on lowly earth!!!
Speaking of training...
Well; they can't say NOW that they don't know!!!
"You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind.
The first man that committed the odious crime of killing one of his brethren will be cursed the longest of any one of the children of Adam. Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would have put a termination to that line of human beings.
This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which is the flat nose and black skin. Trace mankind down to after the flood, and then another curse is pronounced upon the same race--that they should be the 'servant of servants', and they will be, until that curse is removed."
Brigham Young-President and second 'Prophet' of the Mormon Church, 1844-1877- Extract from Journal of Discourses.
Here are two examples from their 'other testament', the Book of Mormon.
2 Nephi 5: 21 'And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people, the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.'
Alma 3: 6 'And the skins of the Lamanites were dark, according to the mark which was set upon their fathers, which was a curse upon them because of their transgression and their rebellion against their brethren, who consisted of Nephi, Jacob and Joseph, and Sam, who were just and holy men.'
August 27, 1954 in an address at Brigham Young University (BYU), Mormon Elder, Mark E Peterson, in speaking to a convention of teachers of religion at the college level, said:
(Rosa Parks would have probably told Petersen under which wheel of the bus he should go sit.)
1967, (then) Mormon President Ezra Taft Benson said,
"The Communist program for revolution in America has been in progress for many years and is far advanced. First of all, we must not place the blame upon Negroes. They are merely the unfortunate group that has been selected by professional Communist agitators to be used as the primary source of cannon fodder."
We are told that on June 8, 1978, it was 'revealed' to the then president, Spencer Kimball, that people of color could now gain entry into the priesthood.
According to the church, Kimball spent many long hours petitioning God, begging him to give worthy black people the priesthood. God finally relented.
Sometime before the 'revelation' came to chief 'Prophet' Spencer Kimball in June 1978, General Authority, Bruce R McConkie had said:
"The Blacks are denied the Priesthood; under no circumstances can they hold this delegation of authority from the Almighty.
The Negroes are not equal with other races where the receipt of certain blessings are concerned, particularly the priesthood and the temple blessings that flow there from, but this inequality is not of man's origin, it is the Lord's doings."
(Mormon Doctrine, pp. 526-527).
When Mormon 'Apostle' Mark E Petersen spoke on 'Race Problems- As they affect the Church' at the BYU campus in 1954, the following was also said:
"...if the negro accepts the gospel with real, sincere faith, and is really converted, to give him the blessings of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost, he can and will enter the celestial kingdom. He will go there as a servant, but he will get celestial glory."
When Mormon 'Prophet' and second President of the Church, Brigham Young, spoke in 1863 the following was also said:
"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God is death on the spot. This will always be so."
(Journal of Discourses, Vo. 10, p. 110)
Yeah; Native Americans are althroughout the Book of MORMON; too.
I saw a striking contrast in the progress of the Indian people today ... they are fast becoming a white and delightsome people.... For years they have been growing delightsome, and they are now becoming white and delightsome, as they were promised.... The children in the home placement program in Utah are often lighter than their brothers and sisters in the hogans on the reservation.
At one meeting a father and mother and their sixteen-year-old daughter were present, the little member girl-sixteen-sitting between the dark father and mother, and it was evident she was several shades lighter than her parentson the same reservation, in the same hogan, subject to the same sun and wind and weather.... These young members of the Church are changing to whiteness and to delightsomeness.
One white elder jokingly said that he and his companion were donating blood regularly to the hospital in the hope that the process might be accelerated.
(Improvement Era, December 1960, pp.922-23). (p. 209)
I've read many FR Catholic/Protestant religion threads over the years.
That worked out well!
We want you on that wall...
You sound like a democrat. You really do. You are enjoying this coupe more than many democrats are.
Words cannot describe the contempt I feel for you, enabler of SOCIALISM. I condemn you, utterly and completely. I hope you live to regret your aid of the enemy.
Based upon mom4melody's episode with the pastor in question, he appears to be a black racist who with a chip on his shoulder who would have found a reason to dislike any white opponent of Obama.
Do you really need to be the center of attention in every election cycle? Jews, Catholics, Orthodox can say every so often, our guy's not up there, but the guy who is, speaks for us? Why is that impossible for Evangelicals?
Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth.
It's not clear who you're talking about here. Bush? Romney? You can disagree with positions that each man took, but nothing Bush did was actually and literally "Marxist." I'd say the same for Romney. Can we just finally recognize that not everything one disagrees with is Marxist? Isn't it time to drop that kind of loser talk?
I saw a post much like this over at DU. Hmmm....go figure.
Why would you believe your personal opinion of me would matter at all?
I smell the distinct odor of retread here.
If you are Mormon, answer the question anyway, please.
“Actually ADMITTING you’re a religious bigot! “
Yep! I had a room mate in college who was a good guy and muslim, but I’ve seen what Islam does in countries like Iraq & Afghanistan. Don’t want any part of it. We were not founded as a Muslim country, thank the True God!
Lived in Utah and had mixed experiences with Mormons, but Mitt Romney wouldn’t bow to the King of Saudi Arabia. That, by itself, would be reason enough to vote for him instead of Obama. But if you prefer Barack, go ahead...
No, not a majority, but a good portion are, indeed, parasites. The other substantial block that makes up the difference in Leftist support is comprised of cultural nihilists, who despise even the appearance of moral order or sanity with white hot hatred. They are the death culture, the barbarians - a glimpse of whom we saw full on in the later years of the 1960's. These are now in charge.
If I had posted something like this...Time to start that third party. I know, I know...but, the GOP elists guarantee defeat. Change has to start sometime. Why not now?

....I wouldn't boast about being over at DU.
Get over it. Mitt lost. Start your third party.
Wow, you are just sooooo clever.
BTW, I was over a DU looking for you. You were easy to spot.
Btw, per CNN's exit polls, Catholics voted for Obama 50-48%...vs. white Evangelicals, who voted Romney 78-21%
So, given that the Jewish vote (69-30%), the Black Protestant vote, the liberal mainline Protestant vote, and the Catholic vote all collectively combined to elect Obama...why is the only religious segment to support the GoP (besides Lds) tossed under the bus in this thread -- to begin with???
(I guess when you have a moniker of "ignorant" in your screenname, in some cases 'tis a confessional!)
Aren’t you the biggest Mormon hater around here?
To me, that's a good set of values.
I disagree with the no coffee or tea, though! But, then, that leaves more for me.
..... I grew up Baptist.
And I have a long list of dos and donts also.
So what’s the big deal?
Are you starting your third party with the DUmmies? Smooth move.
Since denominational affiliation does not dictate whether one is really a Christian or not, it's a meaningless question.
There are Christians and non-Christians in every denomination.
Being a Catholic does not by default mean being a Christian. Neither does being a Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, or whatever flavor of religion you choose.
The only thing that varies from denomination to denomination is the percentages of Christians in each one. Some are more likely to have more because they teach the truth, than others.
All: Seems like a tacit admission here that the motivation behind this vote had NOTHING to do with conservativism and more to do with what the Obama & his minions' motivation...
Remember, when Obama told a crowd not to boo, but rather vote for purposes of "revenge?"
Veangefulness (of Romney) was Obama's way.
Voting out of despising someone -- knowing full well that the vote "had no real chance here" of actually aiding Romney to win -- sounds like a hater.
Had enough conservatives in obvious blue states voted for Virgil Goode -- sending a message to the GoP establishment not to alienate their very base the next go-round -- we might actually get somewhere.
But, sending a message that we'll sleep with whoever they send to spend the night; that we'll toss away our convictions & standards for a cup of extremely short-term political pottage; isn't very attractive to be as "leaders" to the conservative movement.
No wonder the GoP-e considers to overlook us...We can be "had" so cheaply...
No, you are not invited.
I don't have exact % as of yet
But I know Hispanics supported Obama 71-27%...and I'd say probably 80% (or more) of Hispanics are Catholic...
So, you'd probably be quite correct to assume that white Catholics supported Romney more than Obama...but probably by % somewhere around 50-47...that would be my guess...
The bottom-line even there is that even among white Catholics, I don't think Romney got their majority of all white Catholic votes (51%)...
FWIW: I knew there was a reason I voted for Mitt:
“Today, Frank Ricciardone, the U.S. ambassador to Turkey, announced that Obamas first trip of his second term will be to Turkey, a country which has witnessed under its increasingly Islamist government an unprecedented roll back of basic freedoms. The Turks are looking at Obamas choice as an endorsement. They are probably right. On top of this, Ricciardones announcement comes right after Turkeys Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoan announced that he would soon travel to Gaza, in recognition and support of Hamas.”
Mitt was my last choice in the GOP primary, but he didn’t hate America and he doesn’t love Islam in all its forms. I spent some time in Turkey when it was still a secular muslim country. Don’t want anything to do with it now.
I believe it would be more accurate to say that Romney is one of the few in the bunch that couldn't beat Obama...
Way back in the primaries, people were warned that the conservative base (in general) would not vote for Romney but he was forced upon us anyway...
And that coupled with the liberals who figured that Obama did a better job at being Obama that Romney would have, it was a no brainer...
A word to the wise; next time, get on the band wagon of the candidate that the base wants to support...
I agree...The people that trashed Sarah Palin can't figure out why her supporters (many of them) wouldn't vote for Romney...
The GOTV here was awful. I was the ONLY one that did anything, Precinct captain is a Ron Paul guy. Two days before the election, he put out a yard sign. That was the extent of his effort.
You may be right about that...I don't follow the Mormon religion...But I do know that Obama will facilitate Iran to launch nuclear weapons against the 'real' Israel...And I have seen where Romney claimed he would support the 'real' Israel during any military conflicts...That's what clinched my support for Romney...
God is not and has not been standing on the Mount of Olives protecting Israel...It's quite clear that God has used the U.S. to provide weapons and money to Israel in order for Israel to defend itself and prosper...Who can't see that???
How sad you have such a low opinion of yourself
There is no anti-mormon bigotry - there is exposure of mormonISm.
Christian are sick to death of mormonISM claiming they are Christianity.
Get over yourself, an learn the difference.
Unless you can PROVE on anti-mormon post, then shut the hell up.
Grow up and stop the ignorant “oh you support obama” because you didn’t kiss the butt of Romney.
“Our pastor voiced concern about Romney making mormonism more mainstream.”
When he was governor of Massachusetts, his religion was a non-issue and many people didn’t even realize he was a Mormon.
“Im surprised you didnt vote for Jesus then!! Youve got NOTHING Reaganesque about you...he had common sense and brains!”
Those who refused to vote for Romney out of religious purity have deliberately contributed to inflicting our country with the political incarnation of Barabbas for another four years (provided he doesn’t simply decide to declare himself president for life). Obamacare, with its taxpayer-funded abortion and death panels, is now impossible to repeal.
No Elsie is just a wee lil ol girl...
You must mean Willard...
Now hes the durnest big ol mean Mormon hater of Christians ya ever did meet...
PINGy to dear little Buttercup Elsie
he didnt hate America and he doesnt love Islam in all its forms
Well theres no proof that Willard doesnt hate America...
He at least has in his lifetime had a lukewarm disregard for our nation at best...
That foul attitude led to his dodging the draft at least 2 times and running off to France the rich man’s son’s Canada...
and While he worships Joseph Smith who did love Islam in most if not all forms, again there is no proof he has ever denounced the religion and thus the teachings of the inventor of Mormonism...
The “American Mohammad” is the accepted icon and possible ‘god’ and ‘savior’ and ‘judge’ of the Mormon religion...
“It will be with us ‘Joseph Smith or the sword’” (Joseph Smith 1838)
What does it matter that people did not know he was a mormon. Romney is a practitioner of mormonISM he makes no moves outside that matrix.
You are nuts. Mitt has a ton of faults from a conservative perspective, but he doesn’t hate America.
Romney claimed he would support the ‘real’ Israel during any military conflicts...
the Mormons claim to be the real Israel...
They claim that Jerusalem where their jesus is going to return is in MISSOURI...
The Mormons are ever expecting miliary attacks and persecution because they are mormons...
They declared war against the US governnment in their early history...
and Joseph Smith threatened Congress with destruction because they wouldnt give in to his bizarre demands..
I dont think they ever had a superseding doctrine on that “divine” prophecy...
You really know nothing about mormonISM do you.
Joseph Smith was clear obey or the sword.
Before you defend mormonISM LEARN about it.
Exactly like that, my dear.
Screw the Evangelicals F em all. Ban me for all i care.
