Romney lost because, for the most part, he ran a truly pathetic campaign. Put aside the first debate and tell me, exactly where did he outshine Obama? What was his campaign about? He allowed Obama to plaster the airwaves for months with negative ads while he team reassured us that "the needle never moved". Well it is now post election and guess what? The needle never moved!!

In addition to his awful campaign, Romney was the perfect foil for Obama. He was Richie Rich, the father of ObamaCare with the personality of cardboard. Add in the fact that he wore girl jeans and you have just about all the information you need to understand his campaign. That being said, and against all of my better judgments, I did whore myself and vote for him. No signs. No donations. I didn't like him and I swore I would leave the slot blank, but at the end of the day I voted for him.

The best candidate in this very weak field was Herman Cain. What made him great for the moment was his charismatic personality. That is why I am absolutely convinced that Axelrod took him out of the equation early in the process, Herman;s own poor decisions regarding who he surrounded himself with not withstanding.

So lets stop blaming others for a loss that we can surely pin on ourselves. We have an awesome bench that will be ready to take on the 2016 challenge. Warm-ups start in 2014 when we retire Harry Reid. Time to get back to work!!
