Christie: I campaigned harder than anyone for Romney
New York Post ^ | 6:22 PM, November 7, 2012 | By DAVID K. LI

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie -- Mitt Romney's surrogate-turned-President Obama fan -- bristled today at suggestions that his embrace of the Democratic incumbent cost Republicans the White House....

When asked what went wrong for Romney last night, Christie deadpanned: “He didn’t get enough votes.”

“I’m not a pundit, I’m an office holder,” Christie said.

Get out of our party Christie.

You gave the President a platform right when he needed it the most. We had him on the run and you threw him a lifeline. I’m not saying you should have been mean to man, I’m just saying you didn’t need to walk around hand-in-hand with Obama while he preened for the cameras. One of our main arguments was that he was bipartisan and you sure fixed that up for him, didn’t you?

Bottom line: You were one of our stars and you killed us with your star power.

Again, get out of our party, Christie.

Have to side with Christie here. People made up there minds long before Sandy came along.

That's not what the national polls said. Romney was leading by a point in the RCP average, quite consistently, until the storm hit. After the storm hit, Romney was down by a point in the RCP average of the national polls. He saw a 3 point negative swing in Pew and WaPo polls.

Unfortunately for your thesis, it is contradicted by actual facts. Interviews conducted after voters left the polls on election day found 40+% called 0bama's response to the storm a part of their decision to vote for him, and 15% who voted for 0 say they were strongly influenced by Christie's reaction.

So "siding with him" on the basis you've chosen is an emotional, but fact-free decision.

Congratulations! That makes you a liberal.

You raise an interesting consequence of this election (the results of which I do NOT believe): The GOP will LOSE constituents BIG TIME to the ‘Independent’ Party.

That's not really the point. Christie turned down a request from the Romney camp to appear briefly at a Romney rally. He's a jerk — and I've been a BIG Chris Christie supporter.

"...Lindsey Graham is not available..."

We already have a "gay" president, thank you very much.

Redo-—Too many typos. Here we go again.

Get out of our party Christie.

You gave the President a platform right when he needed it the most. We had him on the run and you threw him a lifeline. I’m not saying you should have been mean to the man, I’m just saying you didn’t need to walk around hand-in-hand with Obama while he preened for the cameras. One of our main arguments was that he was too partisan. The public agreed but, you sure fixed that up for him, didn’t you?

Bottom line: You were one of our stars and you killed us with your star power.

Again, get out of our party, Christie.

Any future opportunities for national office should be about dead for Christie now. He probably wont even win re-election now.

This eletion was very close. I listened to Rassmussen on BOR a short time ago.

The truth is that Christie and Sandy raised Obama’s job approval numbers to 50%. Rassmussen said he re-adjusted his final poll numbers because if you get 50% job approval, you win.

So Christie indeed may have tipped the scale in Obama’s favor with his slobbering praise. He looked so pathetic schlumping along after Obama like the little wussy fat kid on the block.

Don’t be a dumbass. Sucking Hitler’s little giggle pin doesn’t make it okay just cause you did it AFTER he gained power.

Christie, with his Obama-walks, was simply doing contract work for BushCo. Book it.

He also campaigned harder for Obama than “anyone”. The saying “You cannot serve two masters” proves true again.

9% said they made up their minds a day or two before the election, 64% said they approved 0bama’s handling of hurricane Sandy.

I didn’t see the whole Christie-0bama lovefest because I didn’t have power or Tv for five days because of the hurricane.

0bama has done nothing in the relief effort except for the photo op, things are a mess and getting worse.

“People made up there minds long before Sandy came along.”

I guess you mean people made up THEIR minds. In any case, Fox exit polling showed that about 50% of those who had been undecided a week before the election went to Obama because of Sandy. They thought that his canoodling with Christie made him “look bipartisan”. Christie gave a wonderful gift to the Muslim.
