Dealing with the Loss of a Loved One
None | Nov. 7, 2012 | Van Iddy

Posted on 11/07/2012 7:26:01 PM PST by Jess Kitting

America, the one I loved, left me last night.

I fought hard to keep her and tried to warn her of deceitful and abusive men, but in the end, she abandoned not only me, but her sacred virtues, and fell into the arms of sweet-talking swindlers, who promised her the world and tons of free stuff.

Today I'm hurt, I’m exhausted, I'm subdued, I’m extremely disappointed, but surprisingly, I'm not bitter.

America has made her choice, and as much as I loved and wanted to protect her, I know I cannot change what has happened. She must deal with the consequences of her decision, however awful they may be.

I am left to cope with a tremendous loss. I could try to win her back, or find someone new, but I know that I probably won’t be able to forget her or how beautiful she once was.

When her new suitors have had their way with her and left her by the wayside exploited and penniless, I hope someone will be there to pick up the pieces and build her back into the noble country that God intended her to be. If that person is you, please tell how much I love her.

Mourn, however long that takes, then go on.

Or, join her.

She died last night, but she dumped you four years ago. This is just delayed reaction.

Ask them which one of the 2016 debates will be moderated by a REPUBLICAN since the media can only field Democrats.

I didn't sleep at all last night. I have been crying off and on all day. My son is Military. No more clearer rebuke of our finest than the denial of support to the heroes in Benghazi. I am in mourning. For all that America has meant to me and my parents and my son. British husband thinks I am over dramatizing. But he grew up in a Socialist Britain. Our country is lost for a generation at least. Heartbreaking. I am glad my parents have long departed. WW2 hero Dad and supportive Mom would be overcome with grief too, for the lost promise of this once free land.

During the American Revolution, approximately 1/3 of Americans were for independence, 1/3 were for staying with England, and 1/3 didn’t know or care. Somehow, we gained our independence. To those who say they are moving because of this election, I say, remember Valley Forge. We need our Von Steuben to drill us and discipline us. If you run now, you will always be running. For crying out loud, the Soviets tried to control everything and even killed millions of their own people, but they are gone. We go all weak-kneed because some Democrat grifters bought an election? Baloney. They aren’t supermen and they aren’t unstoppable. They’re grifters...thieves. They aren’t throat cutters. Look at Obama. He goes golfing. Are you afraid of Grandpa? He goes golfing, too. Nope, no running. You want to get rid of grifters? Take away their money. Our Republican leaders stood and watched as the Democrats bought votes with food stamps and social security disability and taking the teeth out of the work for welfare idea. It’s time to get mad. Why didn’t the Republicans stop this orchestrated vote buying? We gave them a majority in the House two years ago. The Republicans stand around looking like groomsmen at a wedding. They’re not really needed and they don’t get to go on the honeymoon.
