LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) — A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obama’s re-election.
“David” (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) told Host Kevin Wall on 100.5 KXNT that “elections have consequences” and that “at the end of the day, I need to survive.”

Lockheed-Martin is going to lay off 123,000 very soon along with other defense contractors who will lay off their own.
I wonder if there are enough Patriots left in the Military, that can do a little Saber rattling when the Communist President tries to go that direction. A Military Coup sure would signal America's reach Banana Republic status, but are we far of??
One can only hope that these people being laid off were Obama voters...every last one of them.

Yesterday I overheard a conversation between a physician and a couple, husband and wife. The husband talked loud enough so I could hear him clearly. He had been going to this physician for years and just learned yesterday that his doctor was retiring and closing his practice. The physician looked quite young. He did not look even close to 60.
The couple is probably on medicaid or medicare and they will have a hard time finding a new physician. It’s going to be a mess! A very sad mess.
I got laid off last week so right now I’m relaxing and now since I can’t afford to move out of this stinkin rat hole called California I was thinking starting a small business but now I’m not sure now that the crazies took over.
Just counted six Obama stickers in the parking lot. I was thinking we need to trim 5 down, but I think we can get by with all six gone.
I'm in the exact same boat, As a sole proprietor you are looking at about 49% tax rate for Fed, State and Self Ins. tax in Kalifornia. That sure makes you think twice doesn't it?
Actually I agree with you. I think the consequences should be appropriately placed on the responsible people. You don’t have to explain it to them. Just tell them it’s economics. It would be a true statement.
I wish that were true, but I don't think it is. You know who's not going to be affected by this until we turn into Greece? Teachers, most government workers, and welfare recipients. Guess who voted for Obama? It'll be a couple of years before they're affected and then they'll be sure to blame whatever Republican mayor or governor is running their state or municipality.
Time to trim the fat...there are plenty of companies out there who still employ people with a lousy work ethic...especially the young. Send them home. I am noticing a lot more OLDER employees at box stores lately...they actually work, and are happy to be receiving a check.

My mother went to her doctor on Tuesday and they had signs apologizing for the wait. They were switching their computer system to comply with the new Obamacare law. The doctor told my mother that it now takes him 10 minutes just to write a prescription.
He said that he was going to wait and see about the election. However, if Romney didn't win and repeal Obamacare, he was moving to Guam within two years. He said 35-40% of his doctor friends were retiring early or also leaving the county.
A very sad mess indeed.

I saw a comment in an on-line paper that sums it up...'America...down the latrine in 2013.' Great tag-line if someone is looking for one.
My GP just went to a concierge service only practice. The doc is about 60 and came to the U.S. from Canada in the late 80’s after they installed socialized medicine. He saw the same thing was happening here and last year opted to take 150 or so patients for a fee of $4000 annually. He can be reached 24/7 and no appointment is needed. He also does not have Medicare to mess with now.
While I can see many doctors closing shutters, I also see some going the concierge route just to avoid the headaches of Zero’s death panel Gestapo. It’s a sad day all around when a doctor is forced to shut down or limit what his business could do without interference from government.
That's bullcrap. That's the total number of employees worldwide for Lock-Mart. They are estimating 10,000 as the number that will be affected by sequestration.

OK...I am going to give up and look for an obama phone and Gov. food stamps. Looks as if that is what it is going to take for the next 4 years.
