Before we declare the GOP dead...

Posted on 11/08/2012 9:18:24 AM PST by TigerClaws

and continue with "They have to dump Evangelicals", "They have to embrace evangelicals","They have to become more fiscally liberal", "No, they have to be truly fiscally conservative", "They'll never win the presidency again and the demographics have doomed them", take a look at the numbers.

As of right now, only 2,841,121 votes separate the two. That's 2 percentage points, 2 percentage points of the total. Hardly an insurmountable hurdle in future elections. That relatively small number is not an indication that America has turned against the GOP and is convincingly on the side of becoming a Western European style nanny state. In a growing country, Obama has yet to match Bush's vote total from 2004. I know more votes are being counted, but Obama is way off his 2008 pace.

Romney lost the swing states he needed by a combined 373,141 votes. Ohio -100,142 Florida -47,016 Virginia -112,884 Colorado -113,099

A mere 373,200 votes could have the Dems singing the same song the GOP is singing today. And they'd be frustrated over the loss of 9 million votes for Obama as of now.

For all Rush’s large audience, do you realise that the majority of Americans do NOT listen to his show?

And if more voters would vote for a commie Muslim (they can see at the least that he has a socialist bent) than a so-called “moderate” Republican, what in the world makes you think that they will run all the way to the other side to vote for a real conservative?

This is the rats strategy of “voting blocs” paying off. More people want to be victims in a group of victims, that’s where the freebies and the special rights are. People voted tribally-race, gender-and with the expanding “minority” and gender blocs, that’s only going to get worse. You can’t tell me that people would vote for a man who supports leaving babies to die if they survive an abortion, will run the other way and vote for someone who doesn’t support abortion. If they DO support abortion, the lose my vote and the vote of those like me.

Now what?

Who was complaining about Mitt being “another nanny state tyrant” by the time elections rolled around? This is the grand FR illusion, that it is a representative slice of greater America. No it is not. It is an elite.

We need honest and decent men and women. If not, it will not matter who or what you represent. This election shouted this out loud and clear.

It sure would make sense to try to reconcile those numbers. Were there fewer polling places?

Where is some data on evangelicals staying home? I’d like to see it.

Specifically, but because he opened that door, there's never been so many right wing outlets like we have today.

There's millions out there who are overburdened today. They all want relief. If an entire party worked together and vowed to set the tax slaves free (and meant it), the poling places wouldn't be able to keep up with them all.

We need another Abraham Lincoln, the founder of the original Republican party, to free the slaves once again.

Another Lincoln-no thanks, he is not one of my heroes. The slavery issue in and of itself is not the reason.

I have a hunch most of FR, until the end an anti-Romney haven, ended up voting for Romney. Their change of heart didn't match most Republican-inclined voters, apparently.

“Most Republican-inclined voters” never were against Romney in the first place so of course no change in heart would take place, silly.

Many people loathe Rush Limbaugh that never listened to a Rush Limbaugh show.

Lincoln might well have left the South alone, were it not for its launching of a shooting war and its walking away with Federal lands and installations.

Whatever, I’m not going to fight an old war over. I am referring to his utter disregard for American liberties, and I don’t mean states rights.

Really? The turnout of fewer Republicans than for McCain indicate otherwise. Like you said, FR is not representative of what's really going on. If it was, more Republicans would have shown up at the polls and voted for Romney.

Romney lost because he was a liberal. Live it, love it.

Folks like you and me, and millions like us, will do our part, but we are limited in our knowledge of what takes place on the inside. I like to think that there are well placed, knowledgeable patriots and powerful businessmen that are capable of putting the stopper on Obama and his Commie cutthroats from completely taking this country down the toilet.

It is curious that Obama carried every single battleground state. Somehow it all worked out for Obama.

Exactly.

One thing I forgot to add: We all know, without doubt, that Obama is a Marxist to the core. And what do Marxists believe about implementing the revolution? Do they believe it must be done within the confines of the existing legal system and by playing fair? Not in any Marxist playbook I've ever seen.

Widespread fraud (aka The revolutionary ends justify any and all means) is absolutely to be expected from determined Marxists!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case. The powerful and well-connected are primarily interested in remaining powerful and well connected, not in helping the middle “bridge the gap” between us and them. When that’s one bookend, and the “gimme free stuff cuz I’m entitled” crowd is the other, Conservative voters have nowhere to turn. YOU, my FRiend, are the engine of this nation. The horse that pulls the wagon. The productive slave to these competing interests, and as long as you do what they expect you to do, there will be no trouble... There will be no relief either.

Until the entire system collapses because you can’t produce enough to satisfy them both.

In the mean time, the best that you can do is exercise the freedom that remains.

The party is nothing but RINOs now, and only RINOs can support them. Not enough of them apparently to win an election.

The Republican party is a myth populated by democrats who changed their affiliation. That’s why high crimes and treason by Obama are ignored.

The problem is that as government grows the left’s electorate grows, and freedom’s electorate shrinks. The Republican Party is committed to reducing the growth of government. Not rolling back government. They are committing electoral suicide. The solutions are complicated, but I believe the first step must be to get the government out of the business of educating children. Marxists destroyed America from within by shaping minds through public schooling and the popular culture.

The Marxist revolution has been going on for 30 years.

They have won, and to paraphrase Time magazine, ‘we are all communists now’.

Since you refuse to understand this truth, the Marxists will continue their revolution until nothing is left.

If you understand, and are loyal to the idea of America as a free country, you will resist and defeat them.

That is the start.

Years ago a book was released, ‘the deliberate dumbing down of America’ by Charlotte Iserbyte. In it the author clearly illustrated how the federal government in collusion with soviet socialists re manufactured our education system to create the ‘progressive’ citizen, primed for communist life.
