Ron Paul: "Election shows U.S. 'far gone'"
Washington Times ^ | 11/8/2012 | Stephan Dinan

Rep. Ron Paul, whose maverick presidential bids shook the GOP, said in the wake of this week's elections that the country has already veered over the fiscal cliff and he sees no chance of righting ship in a country where too many people are dependent on government.

"We're so far gone. We're over the cliff," the Texas Republican told Bloomberg Television's "In the Loop" program. "We cannot get enough people in Congress in the next 5-10 years who will do wise things." The video can be seen at http://www.bloomberg.com/video/ron-paul-on-fiscal-cliff-and-vows-to-compromise-MYkAiqYBTaiHwXZL9Tvxkw.html.

Well, they closed Palin out too.

Where was Romney on the NDAA? War on Drugs? Police State? Etc?

Honestly, where was Romney on any issue? Can you even name one issue he grabbed by the horns? He talked vaguely about tax cuts and he wouldn't even talk to deeply about that issue because it would have been exploited as more evidence as his "only caring about the rich". He painted a beautiful Norman Rockwellesque sort of picture but those Ron Paul types knew it came replete with TSA agents reaching down their pants at airports and train stations.

Though, I have scorn for them too. Now, they still have those TSA agents reaching into their pants --and they are going to have a much lighter wallet, even more civil liberties lost and untold opportunity cost.

I see the GOP as a lost cause. Complete reform is what we need.

So many things to hammer obama on went by with nothing at all.

I took a lot of flak for voting for Paul in the primary, and quite frankly, im still glad i did not for him in the primary.

Voting RR in the general was a no brainer, but unless we stop this bs w the nanny/police state we are never going to attract younger voters.

Good thing you all didn’t need us Ron Paul supporters on Tuesday. Yep, we left when we were shown the door, told to shut up and leave. We did you a favor by staying home or voting for Johnson or Goode or one of the other 3rd parties. And you don’t have to worry about us coming back, either. Nope, we won’t try to stink up your “big” tent with any of our nutty ideas about real small government and freedom or any of that other nonsense.

Seriously, I had forgotten I still had an active account here after leaving so many years ago. Maybe someone with mod privileges can do me a solid and cancel it.

I am a ron paul supporter but voted for Romney. Getting obama out was my main priority, nothing else.
