"As a party, we have to look forward to what our challenges are in the future," Christie said. "This election is over. So we have to look forward to the next challenges."

As the party figures out how to attract Hispanics, women and young people, Republicans may look toward Christie as a frontrunner for the 2016 nomination. He leads a blue and diverse state, walks the walk on bipartisanship and could steer the party away from the far right.

If he’s the nominee, I leave the R party forever.

"I'll stop any Republican in 2016,
just like I did this year for you.
I'll even run with Colin Powell as my VP.
Just give me more food already."

Hey Chris, you fellating toadie !

Don't worry about 2016 !

Aside from outing yourself as a spineless transparent worm, that 200 extra pounds of ballast make it real likely you won't live that long.

Amen to that. Never again, no more okiedoke. I actually don’t intend to bother anyway, bit his being the candidate will assure it.

We’re becoming a one-party nation.

Christie lost any respect I had for him. He’s done in my book.

I guess they figure if they could get us to go for Romney even after McCain, they’ve got us locked up. The last laugh’s on them, because I’m not voting for any of the stinking rotters ever again.

Any of you really think Obama will leave power in 2016? Stalinists never leave . Yeah Saddam Hussein, Chavez in Venezuela have elections but they always win as this stalinist Obama just “won”.

Christie has a better chance of dying of a heart attack by 2016 than having a shot in hell for the nomination.

He may very well get the “nomination” in the same way that Romney did.

But, I WILL NOT vote for him as I did for Romney.

I have wished for YEARS that some external ‘force’ or entity would hook a giant tow chain into Cape Cod, and haul the whole mess north of I-64 and east of I-81 out into the North Atlantic, where it could drift aimlessly while the rest of the country recovers. A six-month warning for conservatives to evacuate would only be fair, of course.

I hope we mean it this time. We, including myself, buckled on Romney. No more. I can assure myself of that by not voting at all anymore, and that’s my intention. Next week I go to unregister.

I think there’s an excellent chance he’d make it through the primaries, considering how they’re set up and who gets the GOP backing.

My comment was that they are offering the very same reason that for a Christie run 2016 that we were fed about Mitt. Mitt was from a blue state and made his governorship about Democrat causes. It would be redundant to try and put Christie in the white house, the strategy does not work.

Hammer on nail. He would win the primary and lose the general, and the GOP will never learn, but I have.

Is there a DAY that this loudmouth doesn’t go looking for a camera to grace us with his opinion? Even one SINGLE day?

My governor (Bob McDonnell) keeps his head down and does his job, and he doesn’t even have the aftermath of a disaster to deal with. We hardly even know he’s there, most of the time. I wish Christie would take a lesson, and just SHUT UP.

Exactly. I can’t believe they’re starting this crud again this fast. Boy they really do have contempt for the base but can’t say we didn’t bring it on ourselves. They must be laughing up their sleeves at hearing the broken record.

“2016? Really Chris?

NEWSFLASH: Not if we have anything to do with it.”

Oh come on. If that is who the GOP runs then everyone here will be crying we have no choice. We have to support him.

And then if he looses then everyone here will be shouting that anyone who did not vote for him is responsible for him loosing.

I have seen it right here. Time and time again. It never changes.
