Boehner: Election a 'mandate to work together' with Dems (Time for Conservatives to part ways)
the hill ^ | 11/10/2012 | By Daniel Strauss

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) called it "critical" to avoid automatic spending cuts and tax-rate increases that could go into effect if Congress does not agree on a deficit-reduction plan.

Boehner's call during the weekly Republican address came after a week in which Republicans and Democrats moved away from focusing on Tuesday's presidential election and toward immigration reform and a deal to avoid the so-called "fiscal cliff."

Boehner urged Congress to begin action on job creation and deficit reduction.

How did this turkey get elected Speaker to begin with?

I guess it must have been his turn

He certainly wasn’t picked for his brilliance, his courage, his ability to get things done.

No one despises Nancy Pelosi more than I do, but damn what I wouldn’t give to have a Speaker for the Republicans wtih half of her Chutzpah.

Boehner is not a leader in any fashion.
He couldn’t lead a horny dog to a bitch in heat.

It should be mentioned that Sean Hannity is now in the amnesty camp. Savage played the audio yesterday from Hannity’s Thursday show where he claims to have “evolved”, and thinks that maybe now we should consider “a path to citizenship”. Curiously, Hannity had a fill-in host on Friday. Maybe he was busy with his spanish rosetta stone lessons.

Yes working with the Democrats is just code for caving in to everything they want. The Democrats don’t work with anyone. They scream and yell and accuse until the other side caves in.

Look for every bad thing you dreaded to happen in the next 12 months.

The best thing that could happen to this country is a total economic collapse. Bring it on and see who lives through it. I’m betting on conservatives.

“Boehner is a jack ass.
He has waited for this moment to be the crying liberal house leader.”

I think they have dirt on him and own him. Always have. He has a ‘look’ about him that makes me speculate about what it might be.

"We don't need more "negotiations" that we always lose out on."

I agree. Every time we compromise with the Dems, we take it in the shorts, and compromise always ends up costing us more money. Boehner is a moron if he thinks that the election was a mandate to work with the Dems. Congressional Republicans are getting to be just like the Democrats: When something fails, keep doing it, over and over.

I called my Congressman's office yesterday. He's a Republican and just won reelection. I relayed all my concerns to the girl, and told her I was deadset against the House Republicans working with the Dems, and my reasons why. It won't make any difference in the end, but I felt better getting it off my chest.

"What’s ‘best’ is for us to stand out of the way and let them destroy the country. Then enjoy the fun of watching the MSM try to blame conservatives for the horrors to come."

I hate re-runs.

Here's how you properly "reach across the aisle" and work with the RATs:

"Either you vote with us, or you don't."

We would have been better off with Pelosi. That way they own the entire mess.

Boner is useless.

Bill Cunningham....the same guy who was on Hannity’s radio show Tuesday afternoon, yodeling about the historic Republican turnout, guaranteeing Ohio, and ohhh, the Chick Fil-A voter is doing us proud. Then he went on Sean’s TV show Thursday night; not ONE WORD about how wrong he was.

I’m sick of all these people. Boehner is a craven invertebrate. He couldn’t wait to roll over and show his belly to the dictator, and even now, he hasn’t had his fill.

That's right. Also, Eric Bolling and Kimberly Guilfoyle, both conservative, agree that the Republicans need to dump the social issues for good.

To hell with all of them. If that's what it takes to win elections in the future, they can do it without my help.

You won the House handily, lost the senate by about 5 individuals. Lost the presidency by 300k total in the states that were even competitive; and those votes were either fraud or non contributors to society. You’ve got a virtual mandate by working Americans John. Don’t be a crybaby. Use the power and shove it up their collective assess.

Negotiating with forces of evil and darkness is like a foxtail in a dog’s ear...it only goes one way, toward oppression and tyranny. When have “negotiations” in the last 80 years ever resulted in a conservative victory?

Please don't let the mainstream media convince you of what "Boehner said"...here is a direct statement from him on November 8:
