A school district in Maine is apologizing after middle school students learned about homosexual foreplay during what was supposed to be a “Diversity Day” presentation.
“I don’t want my child taught heterosexual foreplay, let alone homosexual foreplay,” outraged parent Kristy Howard told Fox News.
The principal of Gorham Middle School sent a letter to parents apologizing for the graphic nature of the presentation by PRYSM, Proud Rainbow Youth of Southern Maine.
“They went beyond the scope of our intentions and discussed topics that we do not deem appropriate for our middle school,” Robert Riley wrote in a letter obtained by The American Journal. “We do not intend to expose them to ideas that are not within the scope of our teaching about responsible citizenship as it is embedded in our code of conduct.”
The incident occurred two weeks before the state voted to approve gay marriage – and involved a classroom of 25 eighth graders.
Howard’s 13-year-old son was one of those who came home shocked by the presentation’s graphic nature.
“They were talking about sex and if you didn’t have a condom – saran wrap could be used in place of a dental dam,” Howard told Fox News. “It was all new to me.”
Howard said the PRYSM presenters also cursed and questioned whether the children had been taught about safe homosexual sex.
James Hagen, chairman of the school committee, told The American Journal that teachers felt uncomfortable about the presentation and reported it to the principal.
“Teachers were in such shock,” he told the newspaper. “Everyone just froze.”
Principal Riley defended the way the teacher’s handled the situation – noting that the conversation about gay foreplay happened near the end of the presentation.

“This particular day didn’t have anything to do with sex. It had everything to do with tolerance and kindness and trying to eradicate from our building the idea that it’s okay to be mean to each other,” he said.
Oh really? "Tolerance" is a buzzword to get in the door. It's to make people afraid to object to a homosexual lifestyle on moral grounds for fear of being of being ostracized as an intolerant bigot. It's not enough that people are tolerant. They want to and do, as this article illustrates, indoctrinate children into not only accepting, but be open to experimenting with this lifestyle choice; people must redefine marriage; children must be allowed to be adopted by homosexual couples, even if that means shutting down adoption agencies like Catholic Charities.

This is happening more and more as “sex ed” across the country, often they start presentations with “Don’t tell your parents”.
Maine is the same state that also created same sex bathrooms
This is sick! Everyone involved with this “Diversity Day” should be immediately fired.
My, how unexpected! Who could have guessed that a gay activist group that wants to 'educate' children would go beyond the intended scope of their presentation? Who could have guessed that teachers and administrators would either have no idea what to do when a presentation so far out of their field went awry - or that some would intentionally allow it to continue? Clearly this could not have been foreseen - neither in this Maine middle school nor in the dozens of schools where the same thing has happened previously.
Is it a magic letter that restores their innocence?
When the speaker started going down that road of homosexual foreplay - someone should have shut it down right there and not it allowed to continue. This tolerance and diversity crap - its ruining the morals of this nation.
The “public school”, including the “charter school”, is BY FAR, the largest, most expensive, most subversive, and most destructive entitlement program in the country.
The “public school” is better understood as the “government school collective”.
It is silly to imagine that you can fix the public schools, because the very concept itself is collectivist.
Any child that comes out of the government school collective with their moral compass and common sense intact does so in spite of the government school indoctrination, not because of it.
If you want to win the culture war, have lots of children (see my tagline) and homeschool them or form your own school cooperative with your church or synagogue and like-minded friends and relatives.
Nobody loves your children more than you do.
Nobody can teach your children better than you can.
Nobody knows your children better than you do.
Your children would love nothing better than to be taught by you, if you start doing so before they are corrupted by the government school collective.
It is hypocritical for you to submit your children to an authority with whom you fundamentally disagree. And your children will know it.
If you have children, make whatever sacrifices you must to get them out of the public schools.
DO NOT FEED THE BEAST!
Especially not with your own children.
And DO NOT TAKE GOVERNMENT “EDUCATION” MONEY!

I have spoken in several schools and at graduations, and each of those schools had a cut off switch for speakers, with someone assigned to that switch, so they could shut off the microphone. I assume this school had the same option but never considered the possibility that an outside group of gay activists might stray from appropriate topics. It’s not even hard to cut them off - just throw a switch or unplug a power cord.
There are laws against corrupting the morals of a minor and subjecting a minor to sexual predation.
The administrators who arranged this “Diversity Day”, as well as the perverts who gave the demonstration, should be arrested.
Enough is enough.
I disagree. If 80% or 90% of kids will be in the public schools, writing off those kids is a dangerous choice that can lead to a generation voting for the next Obama. Many teachers are conservative, and if more conservatives would go into the schools and share traditional values with the kids, those children would have a better chance in life too. Homeschooling conservatives who do not yet have children or whose children are grown could do this without putting their own children in the public schools. Our own kids are not enough to save America as a free country.
‘Gay” is not about skin color. It is not about whether an individual is male or female nor does it have anything to do with whether that individual is a carpenter, farmer, military member or president.
It’s about psychosomatic compulsions, itchings and urgings experienced by certain males and females. When stupidly enabled by foolish, naive citizens, these itchings and urgings drain into sodomy, incest, rape, pedophilia, pederasty, bestiality, necrophilia, sexual sadism and other individual and social pathologies.
A majority of morally deformed, spiritually apathetic Maine citizens believe ‘gay equality is a morally good thing. A sign of ‘progress.’ Riding the emotional wave of feel-good foolishness they have now voted in favor of ‘gay’ marriage.
All along their children have been paying the price for this dangerous foolishness but with passage of ‘gay’ marriage the price has risen.

What a huge LIE. The liberal principal knew EXACTLY what the intentions were and was working off the idiom that it’s better to ask for forgiveness later. He needs to be fired and the parents need to demand that it happens.

Sounds like the same exact lecture/”demonstration” I received as a mandatory part of college freshman orientation back in the late 1980s.
13 is way to young for this, the five years between that and 18 make a HUGE difference in terms of how to deal with nonsense like this. The group I went through “indoctrination” with recovered from the shock almost immediately and then came pretty close to giving the “instructor” an aneurism with our questions about Saran brand vs generic, whether Reynolds Wrap (OUCH!) or plastic sandwich baggies could be used if Saran Wrap wasn’t readily available when the urge hit.
It took the “instructor” several questions along those lines to realize that we were just scr*wing (figuratively, definitely NOT literally) with him and he ended up having a big tantrum over how we weren’t taking a matter of life and death seriously. The question that put him over the edge involved using Fruit Roll-Ups as a possibly more beneficial (better tasking, some nutritional value, less wasteful, etc) alternative.
So I ended up learning that ridicule is an incredibly potent weapon before I ever knew who Saul Alinsky was.
I have looked at education courses, and homeschooling parents could become teachers. So long as they don't use their class time in college to argue politics with closed-minded professors, there is no barrier to decent people becoming teachers. There are many conservative teachers already; just not enough. We can change that if we try instead of giving up.
If it were a Conservative who somehow had snuck in an anti-abortion class, there would be unceasing cries for that teacher to resign or be fired.
When something like this happens, a half-hearted apology is accepted by those who object. THAT is why they win and we lose. We are still at soapbox and ballot box stages; they are at cartridge box stage.

In Sweden they teach kids to avoid terms “he” or “she” from the age of 4 in daycare centers. Instead, kids are taught to use a unisex “hen” used by homosexuals. Kids are taught gay sex and marriage via fairy tales about male giraffes who adopted a gator egg to raise a child.
One in 5 children is raised by single parent, 60% of children are born to unmarried women in Sweden. About a half are born to illegal immigrants.
In 2004 a pastor Ake Green was sentenced as a hate criminal for citing a bible there homosexualism descrfibed as a sin.
45% dead aren’t burried by their relatives in Sweden, they are leaving bodies to a government for disposal.
That is how it starts a socialist paradise.

This statement is false. One of my coworkers has home-schooled all four of his children, and he has been promoted to Assistant Principal at one of the local high schools and is being fast tracked to Principal.
Amen. Government schools can do no other than glorify government just as Christian schools teach Jesus and Muslim schools teach Islam. And know that they are getting progressively worse.

You may have missed the key words. Teach as a conservative once in the classroom. Parrot back what the socialists want to hear prior to that point, so that you can reach the classroom and help children whose parents are liberal or even uninvolved to learn moral values.
And unless this was the first school where this gang made a presentation (doubtful), then the group has a track record. The objecting parents should investigate what the gay group has done previously (as the school administrators should have for certain). The school administrators act as if they had no reason to expect this, and that can possibly be disproven.
There have been stories like this before.
Montrose is a marginally Republican part of Colorado, went Romney in the voting. I think they understand.
Like the endless stream of “school reform”-ers, you’re seeing and addressing only symptoms. Your motivation is admirable, but you’re mistaken when you think the system can be salvaged by getting good people in the classrooms.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but that’s like saying, “Communism could be a good system if we could just get enough good people in charge.”
The compulsory school system was not designed to benefit children, but to make them into good little human resources - among other goals. It’s corrupt from the foundation. An infusion of good people would not fix it, but merely legitimize it.
Anyone—from the principal down—who arranged this ghastly disgusting maneuver to subvert children into the gay lifestyle should be FIRED. I’d even love to see them jailed for corrupting minors. Absolutely inappropriate lobbying for a gay lifestyle!
Public schools are here to stay, and "the perfect is the enemy of the good". Staying outside the system is the worst of all possible options. Unless you are arguing that public schools can realistically be eliminated within the next few years, I stand by my position that we need to reduce the harm that they inflict on our children and our neighbors' children. Even if public schools staffed by conservatives would not be as positive as universal home schooling, they would be a whole lot better than the status quo.
Weep for your children, America..They have come for them through the public school bureaucracy. No consequences will be forthcoming for those who have stolen precious innocence prematurely. Government endorses this through no meaningful response. My mind refuses to even contemplate what is ahead.

Public school systems work well in a mostly homogenous society where there is general agreement about what should be taught to children, as there was for most of US history. Now they are viewed as the place to indoctrinate children into the views of any group that has enough influence to gain entry into the schools.
This is just one more aspect of the multicultural, diverse society that the elites have decided is best for America.
If that is true, then absolutely none of them should have a position of authority over children ever again. They should all be fired.
