Newt Gingrich: Source Tells Me Petraeus Never Blamed Benghazi Attack On Video

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich stopped by Fox & Friends Tuesday morning to promote his new book, but was first asked to share his thoughts on the ever-widening scandal surrounding General David Petraeus and his biographer, Paula Broadwell.

(snip)

Host Steve Doocy asked Gingrich what he made “of the fact that the with mainstream media has followed the White House’s lead” on the story, maintaining that the President did not know about Petraeus’ situation until after the election.

Gingrich said this was the first time he’s realized that “this has been going on for months,” later adding that he’d been told “by people in the room” that Petraeus had in fact been “the one guy” who said the Benghazi attack was an act of terrorism and not a protest to a video.

I am multi tasking, all things are connected , I am just connecting some dots with hours of research. Ignore me if it bothers you. If you look at my history you will find I am on your side.

I didn’t mean to sound irritated - you’re the second person to mention ORCA (or Orca) in connecion with this stuff and I am clueless....

I was just wondering what ORCA means other than some Romney thing about voting.

Very disturbing as I was beginning to think Broadwell (aside from her personal moral failings) might be one of the good guys.

From a conservative point of view, there are no good guys involved in this.

The sluts and the Generals are compromised and need to make deals with Obama and his people to avoid criminal/millitary moral charges. Looks like Liberals are going to give Petraeus a gig at being president of Princeton next. I imagine they want something in return from him.

Broadwell’s career is in deep trouble. The Dems in power and in the media can make it horrible or not so bad. Depends if she helps them out or not. The Kelley character is just a made for reality TV freak show.

I can not beleive they all compromised themselves in this way. Broadwell is a petty loose cannon, too. She could be the Dem’s victim of a mean ole sexist Republican General or a homewrecker. Oh boy.

You’re welcome - bottom line is if you need an app built, make sure not to hire anybody listing ORCA on their resume :)

MestaMachine: "Gingrich said it and for the life of me, I don’t know why. Then again, I don’t know a lot of things."

Since Tuesday now several at Fox have mentioned an alleged private comment by Petraeus, to an unidentified congresscritter at the Congressional hearings, to the effect of: do you want the truth of the matter, or just the official line?

If the story is true, it implies Petraeus knew at the time his report of a video-inspired "flash mob" was just a cover story, intended to hide important secrets.

In that case, my guess would be: only some of those secrets involved national security, the rest were needed to cover political backsides of officials caught asleep on watch.

nerdgirl: "This article may help you, seems to have some good info about the ORCA failure... ORCA Woes"

Thanks for the link.
Seems the Pubbies are amatures, the Dems pros at this.

Who would have guessed?
