(CNSNews.com) – FBI protocol determined when the president of the United States would be told that his director of the Central Intelligence Agency was engaged in an adulterous affair, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters on Tuesday.

Nope. Doesn’t pass the common sense test. One thing you learn quick in this world is that the boss don’t like bad surprises. Take a worst case, Petraeus is a spy. FOX News breaks the story and asks Obama how he could have a spy as the head of CIA. That’s career ending for lots of government wonks who were sitting on the information. They sent this info up the line all the way to Obama.
