If I’d caught you with that stuff I might have blown it up myself. “Looking bad” can be just as fatal as actually trying to be. And the key word in “un-obtrusive”.

Am I going to Gitmo now?

Depends on what we are talking about. Gitmo crap from me? Without a doubt. (grin) Gitmo free stuff from the gubmint free stuff parade? Why not? And I don't want to burst your bubble. But if you are a white man (like me) Gitmo doesn't want you. You are now irrelevant.

Get it? He had an obviously extravagently wired watch (art??) and boots too big with extra padding in them

Don't you need something explosive to construct a bomb?

I read it that way, too. the charges were invented on the spot. There is no such law.Of course, when you are living in what is essentially a communist country, the law is what the arresting officer wants it to be. I’ve known two professional artists during my life, and both of them were a bit goofy in my opinion, but were not dangerous by any stretch.
All of these “possession” of bomb making materials charges are bogus.

If they let you see it then you might laugh at the hysteria instead of falling on your knees and thanking the big govt. policeman for saving us.

I wonder if this guy was planning to go to NJ soon because an OWS member got arrested for bombmaking materials yesterday or today.

You seem to be under the impression that the TSA actually has the main function of making air travel safer. That may be part of their function, but neither the main part, nor a part that they have ever performed.

We can consider their real function more dispassionately, perhaps, by at one of their historical antecedents, far removed from our time. In that light, I present the following history lesson:

and also this elementary-school level primer on an important facet of the radiation exposure to which the TSA subjects people:

I forget where I read it, but the idea is to make so many rules/laws that it’s impossible to obey them. Thus making everyone a criminal.

Notably Ayn Rand but many other observant people also.
