After Democrats Gain Across the Country, Conservative Voters Wonder Where They Fit
New York Times ^ | November 18, 2012 | Jack Healy

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — By now, voters here are over the initial shock. The ranchers, businessmen and farmers across this deep-red state who knew, just knew that Americans would never re-elect a liberal tax-and-spender president have grudgingly accepted the reality that voters did just that.

But in the days since the election, a blanket of baffled worry has descended on conservatives here like early snow across the plains, deepening a sense that traditional, rural and overwhelmingly white states in the center of the country are losing touch with an increasingly diverse and urban American electorate.

“It’s a fundamental shift,” said Khale Lenhart, 27, a lawyer here. “It’s a mind-set change — that government is here to take care of me.”

As the share of white voters — and white men, specifically — shrank in this election, exit polls showed that turnout grew among black, Hispanic and Asian voters, who supported President Obama and more than compensated for his losses among whites. An analysis by the Pew Research Center found that minority voters made up 28 percent of the electorate, up from 26 percent in 2008, a proportion expected to grow.

“Welcome to the next America,” said Paul Taylor, executive vice president at Pew. “Whatever that vote looked like this year, four years from now it’ll be more so, and eight years from now it’ll be even more so.”

None of this assures election wins for Democrats. The tide of minority voters that helped elect Mr. Obama in 2008 ebbed just two years later in a welter of populist anger over deficits, job losses and Mr. Obama’s agenda, allowing Republicans to retake the House and make gains in the Senate in the midterm elections. And there is no guarantee that the next Democratic presidential candidate will match Mr. Obama’s huge margins

We have been had and the GOP sit silently, there has been evidence of massive voter fraud in Florida with West so we can all assume that it happened with the presidential election as well. We need to demand an investigation in Ohio, VA and PA. They have accepted thier defeat all to easily.Boner sez “obama care is the law of the land,” “it is time to get to work” These are not fighters “we the people” can depend on when the going gets tough, they sit quietly take a beating and beg for forgiveness. It is time we put the pressure on these idiots. How difficult is it to commit voter fraud in 4 battleground states?

Sounds right, “tails you lose, heads I win.” What NYT Jack forgets to mention while trying to put words in our mouths is that Obama drove millions of people away from the polls by his governance. Even giving away the biggest bauble in Santa’s bag, the healthcare monstrosity, he lost millions of votes from his 2008 total. He has no similar gift to offer in his second term and implementation of Obamacare will cost Democrats even more votes, because it will fail miserably to do what they’ve promised. Since Obama has no other ideas, it is simple reasoning to see that the Democrats will be on a losing streak for years to come. At least our field is cleared of the “it’s my turn” carcasses that have all too often impeded us in selecting a Presidential candidate.

Unless the GOP pulls its head out of its exit orifice and addresses Democrat election fraud, we are done.

See tagline.

Where do conservative voters fit? They’re the taxpayers.

Why, you've answered your own question! A place for everyone in this brave new world.

‘Obama did not win a single state with voter ID requirements.’

New Hampshire has a voter photo ID requirement. He won this state easily.

Obama did not win a single state with voter ID requirements.

I live in FL. I had to show ID to vote. Obama won FL.

At least some of the "too many ballots" in some FL counties were due to each voter being given two ballots.

Please check up on the truth of what you say before adding to the atmosphere of paranoia.

I don't say there wasn't fraud in this election, merely that easily disproven claims of fraud tend to discredit the more creditable ones.

Obama did not win a single state with voter ID requirements.

Please list all the states with voter ID requirements, and whether they went for R or O.

By my count, the voter ID states, for the 2012 election, were Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, South Dakota, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Tennessee, and New Hampshire.

Obama won Florida, Hawaii, Michigan, and New Hampshire.

That means he won 4 of the 11 voter ID states.

They have to ask for ID in Michigan and if you don’t have it you have to sign an affidavit declaring that you’re a legal voter. I can’t speak for Detroit or Flint but pretty much everyone else shows ID.

The other good thing is that it will be poetic justice that a world without whites is a world whites wouldn't want to live anyway. Neither will the nonwhites, but they lack the wherewithal to do anything about it. If it were not so, we'd have seen the proof in the thriving first world nations on the African continent (not counting the ones built by whites, which are being reduced to their natural state as whites are driven from power or any voice at all in government). Rhodesia, once the breadbasket of Africa, is now Zimbabwe, in a semi-permanent state of famine other than the small amount of food which reaches them courtesy of charitable whites. And that just the bottomline of survival, never mind great cultural or scientific achievements.

It’s NOT a “shift”—it’s a SHAM:

snip-”In 1982, the Republican National Committee (“RNC”) and the Democratic National Committee (“DNC”) entered into a consent decree (the “Decree” or “Consent Decree”), which is national in scope, limiting the RNC’s ability to engage or assist in voter fraud prevention unless the RNC obtains the court’s approval in advance.”

The only way DEMS made gains was through voter fraud. Plain and simple. I just can’t believe that after 4 years of this horrible presidency that the American people are stupid enough to vote these cheaters in office. Oh wait - some are that stupid.

Seriously though - it was voter fraud all over the country. Why isn’t someone in high places stepping up to the plate - other than Allen West?

So, in your opinion, only property owners get to vote? How stupid is that when so many people have lost their homes and are now renting.

This economic climate isn’t good for home buying. Get a clue.

The Republican advantage is a lower abortion rate among white Republicans. The Democrat disadvantage is a far higher abortion rate among black, hispanic, and white Democrats.

In short, we are looking at the end of the Democrat party. That's why we need to hit the restart button on the Republican party and shed the losers!

Thanks for the post of the day!

I think you're right, but it's key that Pubs begin to forcefully explain how we are different and why. Also, we have to have "hitmen" who confront Rat lies and lunacy. The Rats need to be called liars on a regular basis along with blaming them as the economy and healthcare decline.

The editors of the New York Times may be basking in the sun about the death of America but I wonder if they realize that those same third world American citizens do not read the newspaper (print or digital). The one good thing about America going down the toilet is that the New York Times is going down too.

The morons at NYT and elsewhere who are giddy at the prospect of a no-ethnic-majority America think it will be like a Lionel Richie music video.

Whats really tragic about their idiocy is they will not have a clue in the resulting mayhem.

Hahahahaha, that’s so sad but true I can’t help laughing. The parasites are killing the unwilling host, but though it will be at our expense, at least we’ll get the last laugh out of this. Once the parasites kill the host, they die too. At best they will live nasty, short, and brutish lives, the same lives they lived before whites “interfered” with our oppressive healthcare, education, higher civilisation, etc. All of that dies with us. Anyone who wants to delude themselves otherwise, can just take a look at what the supposedly “top tier” of “educated” blacks have done to South Africa, after inheriting a fully workimg infrastucture, in just a few short decades, even with some whites remaining to take up the slack. Imagine when we’re gone and our knowledge, our desire to pursue knowledge, dies with us.

They need to pull the children that are already here out of public schools, effective tomorrow.

They`re not interested in assimilating. As for the Mexicans, their intent is to overrun the “United” States and transition sovereignty to Mexico. Where they`ll meet resistance is the muslim-infested upper midwest. The mohammedans have designs of their own.

In 50 years they`ll be fighting it out to lay claim to the former American landmass.
