While pardoning the Thanksgiving turkey today, President Obama absolved it with what he called a "special dispensation," making the Sign of the Cross over the gobbling turkey.
It appears that Obama made a left handed, backward sign of the cross.

I was thinking the same thing. He seems utterly clueless about most things and how they might be taken by other people (who aren't dedicated lefties).
He is basically mocking something that Catholics have a spiritual connection to; and, I'm just not sure he understands that. But, if he doesn't, why doesn't someone in his staff let him know that what he just did was offensive to some of his fellow citizens.
I think Peggy Noonan wrote an article about Zero and how he is an "alien"; meaning, someone who just doesn't get America. He is not American, in the sense that most people think of themselves as American and understand our traditions. He is a foreigner, and the fact that we elected (and then re-elected!) someone who just doesn't understand the country or the people he is supposed to be representing to the world, just astounds me.
