Police Remove Congressman-Elect Grayson From Local Walmart For Union Agitating
Watchdog Wire ^ | November 26, 2012 | Tom Tillison

Posted on 11/27/2012 8:17:47 AM PST by Kaslin

In spite of the embarrassing antics on full display during his first term in Congress, the voters in Florida’s CD09 saw fit to send Alan Grayson back to Washington, D.C.

Naturally, the extreme elements of the far left supported Grayson’s return to office, but so too did many of our friends and neighbors. Perhaps even family members. He was also a recipient of overwhelming support from the Hispanic community, particularly those of Puerto Rican descent. And labor unions.

There’s no doubt he also received a fair share of votes from the disaffected and disengaged for the sheer entertainment value such a buffoon presents.

And Grayson wasted little time in making it clear that his second stint at playing a lawmaker will be no less mortifying than the first when he spent Thanksgiving night agitating Walmart workers on behalf of organized labor and disrupting the early start to Black Friday holiday shopping.

Union-backed groups OUR Walmart and Making Change at Wal-Mart were calling for an employee walkout during Black Friday.

In the typical theatrics that define the far left, our newly elected Congressman was handing out turkey sandwiches and letters explaining the right to organize to employees at a local Walmart, forcing management to call the police to have him escorted off the property.

One Walmart employee did walk off the job, although it’s not clear if this was staged beforehand.

How nice, huh? A fine representative of sleepy little Orlando… with one small exception, the only ones who appear to be sleeping in this town are conservatives.

It’s also worth noting that labor unions, primarily public sector unions, are the number one contributors to Grayson, donating hundreds of thousands of dollars.

As for private sector unions, while the media continues to perpetuate the myth that they are still relevant, the truth is less than 7% of private sector employees are now union members.

Companies understand that unions put them at a competitive disadvantage and may even force them into bankruptcy in the never-ending quest to get more for their members, regardless of how poor a financial decision it may be for a company. Case in point, Hostess.

In fact, while there was a time in America that labor unions played an important role, it’s fair to question if they’ve outlived their usefulness in this country. Perhaps, more companies need to follow in the foot steps of Hostess to bring unions back to earth. Something union leaders – individuals making six-figure salaries while forever pushing the class warfare narrative – fully understand, which is why there is so much emphasis on organizing in the public sector and giving the Democratic Party money hand over fist to help facilitate this growth.

Negotiating with government officials who have no bottom line and no competition is the best of all possible worlds for unions. And to top it all off, most of the government officials involved in the negotiations are Democrats. A real cycle of convenience.

Meanwhile, the statement “we get the government we deserve” proves to be ever so true. Just ask the folks in Osceola and SE Orange County.

Only make it mandatory to join in those non-right to work states. use the labor laws they’ve been pushing against them.

If they first asked him to leave their private property and I'm sure they did. He broke a trespassing law.

Did they? And is that the standard for trespassing in Orlando?

Per the article, I can imagine: Trespassing (which is why he was forcibly removed). Terroristic threats. He participating in intimidating customers which makes him a fun candidate for inciting violence. Heck, how about some of those fun bullying laws. Disorderly conduct. Organizing without a permit. Probably drunk in public based on his personal record.

He’s a complete dick so that makes him guilty of exposing himself to children. Assuming there were children at Wal-Mart that day.

Man, take your pick.

“You can thank the GOP for creating this seat and redristicting Col. West OUT of his seat. Prof once again that the GOP is not to be trusted, believed or supported. Conservatives are not wanted in the GOP; so goodbye to them. I resigned last week.”

My word, no matter how many times this is debunked, someone will post that canard once again. The GOP legislature was forced to draw less gerrymandered districts because of a stupid state constitutional amendment approved by Florida’s idiot voters in 2010—yes, while they were voting for Republicans up and down the ballot, they voted to approve a “fair districts” constitutional amendment that would tie a hand behind the back of Republicans trying to draw a map that favored Republicans.

In any event, Congressman West ran in a district that was more Republican than the district in which he ran in 2010 (albeit not as Republican as a St. Lucie-based district would have been had redistricters been able to place black neighborhoods in Fort Pierce in Alcee Hastings’s black-majority district as they did prior to the “fair districts” amendment). Had GOP redistricters been unencumbered by that stupid amendment and been able to gerrymander the old Broward-Palm Beach FL-22 to make it more Republican than before, perhaps it would have placed West in a better situation for reelection than what he ended up with, but not by much. Congressman West was never a good fit for the socially liberal Gold Coast, and he should have run statewide for the U.S. Senate, where he would have been a much better candidate than the RINOish Connie Mack and perhaps would have beaten Bil Nelson.

So don’t blame Congressman West’s loss on the FL legislature—it was those stupid voters in Florida, and particularly those in Port St. Lucie, that did him in. FL Republicans have done a lot of stupid things in the past, but screwing over Allen West was not one of them.

Did they? And is that the standard for trespassing in Orlando?

Most likely the standard everywhere.

If you ask someone to leave your private property and they don't comply, they are trespassing after having a reasonable time to do so.

Wal-Mart and I'm sure many other stores, deal with minor shop lifting in a similar manner. They take a picture of the shop lifter and inform them if they are ever seen in any W-M store they will be arrested for trespassing.

W-M is not public property, just like your yard is not public property, no one has a "right" to be there.

that’s nice but the discussion was about the comment about law-makers breaking the law. Grayson wasn’t arrested and he didn’t break the law.

Not necessary. The left is known to use voter fraud to win elections

It is NOT the 47%'s fault. The fault lies squarely with the GOP-E. They keep running moderates and telling them the way to win is to be limp, spineless, vague, and take the high road--no ugliness about the opposing candidate, now, or the nice media schmucks will LABEL you mean, heartless, racist, etc. Well, guess what? The moderate candidates actually listen to the GOP-E and their highly paid no-nothing consultants; they refuse to engage in realities, and the election, if close, is stolen.

Then, these same stupid, overpaid consultants go out after the loss blaming the awful, fanatical Christian right base, which they ignored during the campaign or insulted.

You are right it will never cease as long as the GOP-E seizes the election cycle and starts with still another moderate, while IGNORING the fact that the other side lies and cheats big time. The election was close and the election was stolen. It should have been and could have been Romney in a landslide. He didn't have to personally destroy Obama, just list the facts of a failed Presidency and hammer on Benghazi--which I am still boiling about.

Hey GOP-E--listen up:

DEMS LIE! DEMS CHEAT--NOT PENNY ANTE STUFF, BUT BIG TIME FRAUD! DEMS STEAL ELECTIONS! DEMS AND MEDIA ARE NEVER GOING TO BE YOUR FRIENDS.

sigh! It's useless talking to them; they are "too smart" to listen to a right wing gun totin', Christian fanatic.

...forcing management to call the police to have him escorted off the property.

Darn, I was really hoping to read something like this:

"Congressman Grayson resisted the officers and was face planted on the cement handcuffed and repeatedly tazered until he wet his pants"..

One can wish...

“that’s nice but the discussion was about the comment about law-makers breaking the law. Grayson wasn’t arrested and he didn’t break the law.”

You said:

“Which law did Grayson break?”

I replied that if W-M asked him to leave and he didn’t comply, he was trespassing, to which you replied:

“is that the standard for trespassing in Orlando?”

I then told you that is pretty much the standard everywhere and that’s what yours and my discussion has been about, only now you are trying to change the subject.

You asked, I answered and now you are you are trying to weasel out of it. When someone tries this tactic on me, I automatically check his/her posting history, yours absolutely reeks of liberalism and I don’t give two hoots in hell how long you’ve been at F.R. I don’t say that lightly, if anyone doubts it click this link and read a couple of pages:

http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/by:ksen/index?tab=comments;brevity=full;options=no-change

If you make another comment to me trying to weasel or misrepresent what you and I were discussing, I won’t waste my time backtracking and citing what was said between us because if you try to change it, that just confirms that you are lying in addition to being a sleeper troll.

Why not just stick to threads where you justify and praise Obamacare or denying election fraud, or running down W-M for mistreating their employees or down playing the harm that unions have done or this to JRandomFreeper today and this is not out of context, it is the entire answer:

KSEN to JRF- Hahaha, “I used to say that too but then I gave it up and realized that yeah, I am a liberal.”

Your liberal ass stinks to high heaven.

If the district is MORE Republican now than in 2010, and aside from the obvious fraud, how did he lose? Did Republicans vote for the racist RAT, rather than a Conservative?

And how come Grayson gets a district tailor made for him? He doesn’t even live in the district.
