MIAMI — In what could become another test of Florida’s broad self-defense law, a software developer charged with killing a Jacksonville teenager said he reached for his gun and fired eight rounds only after he was threatened with a shotgun.

So far this story is completely normal, but you sure aren’t, with your drama and long speculative narratives.

This case has nothing to do with Zimmerman, as I posted on the other thread, titled, “Argument over loud music led to teen’s fatal shooting, cops say(Trayvon Martin redux?)”

Not everything is a “Trayvon Martin”, where the guy is leaped on and is on the ground fighting for his life, and is already bloody and battered as he desperately squeezes off a shot that saves his life.

It isn’t fair to Zimmerman and to extreme self-defense cases, to keep using this “Trayvon” thing so casually and as a catch phrase.

I notice that you did not have the courtesy to answer my question.

I have much to do, and will be absent from the forum for several hours.

If your question was about Zimmerman then I did answer it.

Unlike you, I don’t convict anyone, or exonerate anyone except based on good information, Zimmerman never has appeared to be guilty, and it was quickly reasonable to assume that unless something new was revealed, that things probably happened as he has said, although we are still guessing of course, the Pharmacist case was easy, he was guilt as all get out, this case, we don’t know about, but the shooter is clearly a bubble off, and it isn’t looking good for him, even if the shooting is discovered to be justified, he has really, really, done some incredibly stupid and troubling things, things that need to result in jail time.

You keep weaving tales and possibilities, and creating drama and almost a conspiratorial tone, rather than just looking at the story as it goes.

You seem to have already chosen a good guy and a villain in this case, which you seemed to do in the Pharmacy case, where you were mistaken.

I have one question on this story. If the music was so loud how did he hear them say anything? This seems to be a odd thing in the story to me.

We have two different versions of events. There will be at least four statements and more, because there was at least one witness.

I do not think I know enough to discuss it anymore, considering that there are multiple possibilities.
