Pelosi: Give Obama Power to Personally Lift Debt Limit to Infinity

(CNSNews.com) - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said on Friday that Congress should hand over to President Barack Obama personal, unilateral authority to increase the limit on the U.S. government's debt.

At a Friday press conference, a reporter asked Pelosi if she agreed with a proposal made by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner that Congress give Obama the power to unilaterally increase the debt limit.

"Yes," she said.

When he met with members of Congress on Thursday to discuss a deal to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff that is set to occur at the end of this year, Secretary Geithner suggested that Congress give Obama the personal power as president to lift the legal limit on the federal government's debt.

Nancy you ignorant slut!
If you turn the power of the purse to Obama, you will lose your job because Obama will no longer need the House of Representatives?

Well that will help him finish off America, as it is quite clear he intends to do.

It’s Sickening what these Commies have convinced themselves and some Americans is “Fair”. To give Barry the power to raise the debt limit whenever he likes would be like giving a group of alcoholics the keys to a liquor store and saying “Have at it”!

Ha ha, good one!

I plan to use ridicule incessantly to reek havoc on the Obots, pouring it over their heads like hot tar. Challenge them to acknowledge each phrase in the song parody, providing evidence and examples for each item/subject they ignore or are ignorant of. Ridicule and laughs can drive the mentally ill to violence of course, it’s always the next step after the rage and anger...tender beings unable to deal with truth or reality over feelings. Poor libbies should have 12 step program for their mental disorder. Let the narcissistic scum at the top overreach as well.

That’s what purchasing about eight grand over 4 years in weapons and ammo is for.

Thats exactly it. As you probably know, it is the ridicule
of fascists that gave Britain hope at the hands of Winston Churchill during the 1930s and 1940s.And so hitory has generated yet another fascist movement, as soon as our WWII veterens age and disappear. We must fight them as Churchill did.( And this is why Churchills bust was removed from the oval office and summarily dumped back at the British Embassey during POSHITUS”s first day in office in 2008.
The fascist Obama saw Churchill as a progenitor of colonial power that racially discriminated against his “people” doanchaknow,no class at all, Obama is still struggling with the concept of nigger while White and Black America embraces his falsehood, and where fascist payback, historiocal justice justifies ALL of Obamas criminal, anticonstitutional behaviours.)

And when the Obama fascists go dingbat violent as they always do, patriots should give them all the lead they want.
The ballot box is defunct with electoral fraud.Yes, I too have collected the same resources as you have, and in fact millions of us have.

How in the Hell does spending MORE money prevent the country’s economy from going off the cliff? This makes no sense. If my personal finances were taking a nose dive, my spending would be limited to bare necessities (no vacation, no impulse spending, no extravagant dinners, etc.). I don’t get it - maybe I’m stupid, but someone please explain how this proposal makes sense.

Madrid in June 1936; a month later the civil war started between the Christian countryside and the Bolshevik cities. It took a couple of years, but city people can’t feed themselves.

How about Germany in the late teens of last century. By 1923 the exchange rate between the mark and the dollar was 5.72 Billion marks per dollar.

To be fair, although O is worse, the GOP didn’t worry that much about the debt in the GWB years”

If you recall the Budget control act automatically extended the debt limit a second time this year to get O through the election.

As long as O can successfully get voters to blame congressional Rs for anything that goes wrong these conditions are just formalities, O gets whatever he wants.

Rs don’t seem to understand that. They don't understand that voters need to be won over to have any success.

More recently I see Grover on TV shows trying to make the case that it is Obama pushing us off the cliff, not the GOP.
But that battle is long lost as they all seem to be by the time these confrontations hit.

RE :”But that battle is long lost as they all seem to be by the time these confrontations hit.”

One reason why the congressional Rs keep getting beat by O is the same reason (a reason) why the Romney campaign got beat by the O campaign in the election in swing states: Obama’s strategy is pro-active, Republicans is re-active,
By the time each of these confrontations takes place the battle is already won by Obama.
So the only act left is the drama about when the Rs surrender,

Victories take some planning ahead.

I wonder what would have happened if the GOP house had refused to pass the budget control act. The GOP would still get the blame, and Dems and media would have shown outraged Americans who could not get passports, the US credit rating crashing, etc.

Pelosi might be speaker now. Not that Boehner is much of an improvement.

HA-HA, ddd, you speak heresy :)

But that still doesn't contradict my point, that they were going to increase it anyway and they will again. Its a fact of life, so why do many act so surprised.

But you gotta question why they would delayed cut their own sacred cow pork in the same bill, then praise it and call it a success and then the next year act shocked that the same cuts were scheduled and then run against them like they were Obama. If anything this was counter-productive and made them look stupid,

I assume this was just to temporarily ward off primary challenges because there is no other rational explanation.

In a way, it's really sad for me to admit how GOP "leaders" have performed. But like Ralph Waldo Emerson's transcendental poet, I accept reality.

I think a consensus is forming that, although there are some true conservatives in the party, something is very wrong in the GOP.

RE :”I think a consensus is forming that, although there are some true conservatives in the party, something is very wrong in the GOP.”

What?? You mean we are moving off of the ‘it's all voter fraud’ phase ? :)

You know I have been preaching this for a while. It only took a few months into 2011 before I saw that there was way more than one thing wrong with the GOP.

Most here agree that the Romney's and Mccain’s and Gramnesty’s are a disaster. We all do.

But what about the claims being posted by more than a few that Angles or Akins would have beat Warren in MA this election? It seems like this is definitely the wrong lesson learned.

The real question is, and you should appreciate this Is :

How could the GOP have picked a bunch of fights with Obama and executed as a team to actually beat him, meaning making him cave to public opinion? Or at least the opinion of key voters in swing states? Rather than the opposite?

Was that really impossible ?

Dishonest, leftist media?

Pop culture figures support the "cool" candidates?

Ignorant or apathetic voters?

Unelectable candidates?

Other GOP candidates who do get elected but are too comfortable in the DC culture?

No it didn’t, and I’ve railed on that for years. It gave the the Left cover to say we were no better too. And now we look like we’re being two faced.

Bush destroyed our ability to push for decent policies. Too many well meaning people on our side, trashed criticism of Bush’s actions in what they considered to be defense of Conservatism.

It played right into the hands of the Left.

It’s why I detest voting in Leftist Republican. In this instance (Romney), it’s tough to see how you take a pass on that.

They believe they have full CONTROL of the assets to justify the borrowing.
These may include all Federal controlled land, petroleum and mineral assets. Would we ever get them back? Only through war. Follow the dots of China lending, along with Hillary and Geithner visits, from the inaugeration of Obama.
