Get real ~ the federal income tax must be rescinded ~ it does nothing but rile up people to hate each other over deductions and exemptions.

It's an instrument of class warfare.

They’ll confiscate 401k’s and ira’s and people will sit back and take it. They know it. Nobody is going to shoot anyone over it.

You are of course correct....... in the long run. In the immediate present there is no possibility of the income tax being rescinded.

The President constantly tauts fairness for a doctrine that is decidedly unfair. His policy is discrimination at it’s very worst. Not only that, but the policy will not have a significant impact on the debt. The policy is purely political rabble rousing.

If serious about raising revenue and most importantly about fairness, the Standard Deduction must be reduced. Discussing fairness in terms of reducing the Standard Deduction puts the lie to the president’s words. People understand the concept of fairness

It is action and not the passive apathetic inaction that rules Free Republic

>>Oh, no .. there is one other thing standing in their way ... and that thing is the Tea Party. Keep in mind that it was only the Tea Party that stopped the socialists when the Democrats controlled all 3 houses.

The Tea Party still exists? A protest rally of polite old people doesn’t have much clout in a marxist nation like ours is becoming. We have to convince people that we’re going to burn this mutha down if we want to be effective.

Polite protests worked for us in 2010, but now its time to get radical and make them bring the mace and water hoses. We have to leave work and close our businesses for the day so we can protest and not some wimpy lunch hour thing where we take pride in how clean we were.

I don't believe you're going to find many conservative-minded people who will threaten to "burn the mutha down" ... they just have too much to lose.

The Tea Party, however, put the brakes on a government that was totally controlled by the Democrats. I don't know how "polite old people" managed to scrape together such power, however their numbers are only going to swell in a post-fiscal-cliff scenario.

Then they will lose everything when the Marxists win. The Sons of Liberty were well-to-do merchants. They had everything to lose too.

>>The Tea Party, however, put the brakes on a government that was totally controlled by the Democrats. I don’t know how “polite old people” managed to scrape together such power,

They surprised the DC Elite and they were able to throw together enough voting power to kick some congressmen out of office. Once.

>>however their numbers are only going to swell in a post-fiscal-cliff scenario.

The “post fical cliff scenario” is also known as the Cloward-Piven Endgame Scenario. Creating Marxists is easy when people’s only source of income is the government subsidy or government job.

“I say, replace McConnell with Paul, and Boner with Newt (Speaker doesn’t have to be a CongressCritter.”

I like Newt as Speaker just because it would shift the paradigm, and Obama admin would be stunned.

But right now McConnell and Boehner are doing fine.

At least a business owner (your “shopkeeper”) produces jobs and contributes to the GDP. You and your union buddies at the Post Office don’t do jack except suck billions from the taxpayers, year after year.

You, as a professional leech, have no clue how your host organism works, and I’m nt sure you really care.

Shop keepers peddle wares ~ they make nothing.

Coupon clippers ~ buy bonds, collect interest, and make nothing.

We have a bunch of people on these threads that touch on economics who like to divvy the world up into makers and users. I just did that for you and now you gotta' vetch about it.

BTW, i make perfectly valid arguments that everybody, even those who just stand there sucking their thumbs, actually have something to do with pushing the economy ~ so whatta' ya' really want? Do you want somebody to tell you that no member of a union ever did anything productive?

Karl Marx divided work into two categories ~ that which involved making things, and that which was parasitical.

I"m not a Marxist but we keep hearing from them.

And you don't read well and your memory is failing. Never belonged to a union ~

BTW, the postal service doesn’t get billions from taxpayers. They charge postage and fees for services to rate payers. Their job is to move the mail. Shopkeepers manufacture nothing.

They both deserve to lose their job after caving before the democrats on the Government shutdown in 2011.

Why they are still in their jobs today after their defeat in 2012 is the subject of a corrupt Congressional system. They let the democrats walk all over them in 2011, and subsequently took the blame for failing to agree to everything Obama wanted after they caved.

They should have shut down the Government, then they would have at least accomplished something. But no, they chickened out and allowed the public to buy into the democrats fear tatcis and Lies about a government shutdown.

Also thou failing to obtain any kind of real osterity they have compromised the future financing of the united states. On that charge I don’t much care anymore.

Boehner and McConnell are worthless liabilities as republicans. They accomplish nothing but lose ground to untested lies.

The Post Office are asking for $6 billion in bailouts. I heard it on the radio yesterday.

There ARE other types of jobs besides manufacturing and sorting envelopes, you know. A software company doesn’t manufacture anything, but it creates IP and jobs and contributes to the economy. Your disparaging referral to anyone whom doesn’t sort envelopes as a “shopkeeper” is beyond bizarre.

Tell me, where are the USPS going to get this $6B, if not from the taxpayers? Personally, I would break up the USPS and auction off the pieces.

“”first time I’ve seen some one recognize this.”
I say, replace McConnell with Paul, and Boner with Newt (Speaker doesn’t have to be a CongressCritter.”

Not that anyone will listen to the speaker of the house, or senate minority leader but we need an orator. Someone who can sway the shifting passions of the mob the democrat’s education system has reduced our population to.

Frankly we should be looking into the ranks of the professionally trained, conservative actors.

The Speaker is the third in line for the presidency, though!

The election that gave us a Republican House was held in 2010. Although we don't have a budget since the Senate won't agree to one, the continuing resolution funding the Gubmn't for most of 2011 was passed mostly in 2010, not 2011.

What that means is that 2012 was the first year the Republican majority could begin to have an impact ~ and they set up Obamugabe and his running dog lackeys up with this thing that will result in huge spending cuts and massive tax increases come January 1, 2013.

So, what do you mean they didn't do anything ~ they baited the trap ~ now it's up to Obamugabe whether or not he wants to leave government during a violent revolution when people realize that the only thing the government can afford is to set up ObamaKKKAre ~ with every other agency of government being dismantled and disposed of.

In the end this failed lawyer destroys the government and replaces it with a series of unmanned first aid stations.
