Syria: Assad Already Using Chemical Weapons On Civilians – Activists
Albany Tribune ^ | 12/10/2012 | Al Bawaba News

Global concerns over Syria’s chemical weapons stockpiles grew after U.S. officials this week privately said the regime had begun mixing chemicals that could be used for the lethal nerve agent sarin.

On Saturday, Syrian told the United Nations that it would never use chemical weapons against its peoples and warned that opposition fighters are the ones who could use chemical weapons.

But videos uploaded on the web by activists proved otherwise.

The video showed the destruction caused by what they identified as chemical weapons. They said the fire was caused by a tank dropped from a Syrian warplane and was uncontainable by either water or dirt and was releasing toxic substance as it was bubbling underneath the ground.

In another video, armed opposition captured equipment used as a protection against chemical weapons or gases.

Some media reports said that the substance had been loaded into bombs for warplanes.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Saturday there was evidence the Syrian government could actually employ chemical weapons against the insurgency as an effort to try and contain the conflict which resulted in the death of 42,000 people in nearly 21 months.

The “freedom wanting” opposition will end up being worse than Assad. Thats how it always works in that part of the world. We help the opposition and they will turn and spit in our faces.

This whole drill is just another “Anti-Muslim You Tube Video” PR effort. Americans and the world are being played for fools.

And just where did these weapons come from???? I wish all the hippies and Bush bashers could be made to watch that video. Realize what we’re dealing with here. Should it be handled regionally? Probably. But once and for all, I would want the Lefties to admit Bush was right. I want 0bama to just effing once, admit his predecessor was right about something. I suppose they need made in Baghdad labels on that stuff but even then, they would never admit it. That crap has no business being on the planet...let alone in the hands of martyr-bound Islamists. Just SICK.

Yes, the first pictures of casualties are already coming in. I never thought that I would be on Assad's side but this is a setup.

No, but US American intervention in Syria WILL create that scenario, and that’s the ONLY reason zero is hanging back.

Man those rebels are ruthless! They’ll gas themselves just to make Assad look bad! You know I bet whoever is behind these rebels are the same ones who framed Putin and made it look like he is a murderer and a tyrant. That’s why you will only hear the truth about Syria on the Russian news.

In every report involving live interviews and any comprehensive footage you can see refugees running away from “freedom fighters” toward the government held areas.
And every report blaming Assad forces (which is for some reason dominate media space) usually consist typical jihadi IED ambush videos named a “government airstrike” and cites from “unknown rebel leader” on how bad Assad is. Both journalists and rebels aren’t busy to explain how they are manage to record an airstrike filming exact location of explosion for a minute before alleged bomb fell and a minute after. Why there are “allah akbar” screams at background is another question.

That is what made my opinion about this conflict. It is not looks like Syrians are about to keep their flawed but still some kind of republic but I wish them best luck in their efforts to keep this rotten green plague away from takeover.

Because it is being reported in the MSM there's a good chance that it isn't even true.

Personally, I don't care what muzzies do to each other as long as they don't leave nits.

We have been posting about this stuff for 4-5 days. There was a major battle near Aleppo over the weekend. The rebels over ran a chlorine gas factory and then attacked a nearby base containing Syrias largest WMD storage in the Aleppo area. The rebels took the base Saturday, but Syrians took the base back Sunday. So just think about that for a minute. Al Qeada terrorist (Al Nusrah) take a chlorine gas factory complex. Then Al Qeada (Al Nusrah) attacks the base containing WMD. Then Syrians take the base back. My guess is WMD was used by both sides over the weekend.

At any rate right now only the Rebels have put out a video killing rabbits and saying they will use Chemical WMD on Syrian civilians. The Syrian government has made no such video. Of course I guess its possible the Rebel video was fake, but who cares now. They both have their hands dirty.

It sounds like napalm or WP, but does Sarin or VX have an incendiary component? Could it also be a blister agent? I really don't know.

In order, the answers are, yes it does sound like napalm or white phosphorus, no, neither sarin or VX have an incendiary component as such, lastly neither do lewisite, mustard gas or other blister agent have a readily identifiable incendiary component...

Water spray won’t put out burning WP but submerging it under water will. That’s how we handle it safely-—under water. What’s fun is that Skin won’t put it out-—it just keeps on barbecueing.

I was thinking shredded magnesium——easy to ignite, tough to put out, and readily available. All they needed to do was grind up a bunch of metal ladders or old aircraft skin.
