Channel 3 news commentator said that she heard that many of those killed were in the kindergarten class(es).

It appears that the primary shooter was a parent.
Not to diminish the victims, but it is impossible to see something like this with commenting:

This can’t be true - schools are gun free zones. As every Democrat knows someone who is planning on mayhem and murder will not carry a gun into a zone where guns are prohibited. Poor kids were sitting ducks.
Even your most crazed western bandit in the old west would never have thought of turning a gun on children.

Prayers for the families of those lost, but liberalism and gun control have to take some responsibility for making these kids and their teachers totally helpless along with the savage murderer.

This happened in Connecticut, so the usual “crazy Tea Party redneck in a retarded red state” angle doesn’t work.
There are unconfirmed reports that somebody was packing and shot the parent. I really wish that it’s true.
