That is a fake quote, Hitler never said that and gun registration was already in place when the Nazis took power. He did ban Jews from owning guns or working in an industry that would give them access to gun, but the quote is bogus. He did use the existing gun laws to keep guns away from his opponents and did pass certain enhancements to the gun control laws already enacted.
