Yeah. Westboro’s suspicious. Their leaders were pictured with Al Gore when he ran for President. - I suspect they’re being presented as a “far right wing group of Christian extremists” who have to be “controlled” because they’re so extreme. Somebody’s got to be bankrolling them. Odd they’ve been fairly quiet for a while. They’re about as “Christian” as Loody’s goose in my opinion.

I stand amazed that these people still hold law licenses. My understanding is that they try to provoke attacks against themselves, then sue the atackers. Some day they are going to provoke the wrong people.’Nuff said.

When Fred Phelps (the leader of this “church”) dies, I wouldn’t be surprised to see thousands, tens of thousands even, protesting it. Conservatives, Liberals, whoever. It could be a truly bipartisan/non-partisan event.

Personally I don’t see a problem with their peaceful protest. I served my country so that people can peacefully protest . The message that America has turn it’s back on God and these events are the wrath of God is plausible .
