Caroline Glick is not given to exaggeration and hyperbole. That's why this article she recently penned is so striking. She is sounding the alarm about the Obama administration taking off its anti-Israel mask in order to fundamentally transform the relationship with the Jewish state:
Many in the American Jewish community are aghast to discover that President Obama is planning to appoint former Senator Chuck Hagel to serve as Defense Secretary. If you want the skinny on how Hagel has come to be known as one of the few ferociously anti-Israel senators in the past generation, Carl from Jerusalem at Israel Matzav provides it.
Meantime, all I can say is I don't understand how anyone can possibly be surprised. Shortly after word came out that Hagel is the frontrunner for the nomination, I read a quaint little blog post written by a conservative leaning commentator voicing her belief that Obama wouldn't want to risk his relations with Israel's supporters by appointing Hagel. But as Powerline pointed out today, this is the entire point of the nomination. Obama isn't stupid. He picks fights he thinks he can win. He hasn't always been right about those fights. He picked fights with Netanyahu thinking he could win, and he lost some of those.
But he is right to think he can win the Hagel fight. The Republican Senators aren't going to get into a fight with Obama about his DOD appointee, especially given that it's one of their fellow senators, even though many of them hate him. The Democrats are certainly not going to oppose him.
Obama wants to hurt Israel. He does not like Israel. He is appointing anti-Israel advisors and cabinet members not despite their anti-Israel positions, but because of them.

“Many in the American Jewish community are aghast to...”
Elections have consequences.
“She is sounding the alarm about the Obama administration taking off its anti-Israel mask in order to fundamentally transform the relationship with the Jewish state:”
It’s ok Caroline. The showers are for your cleanliness. We wouldn’t want an outbreak of lice in our wonderful camp. And don’t pay attention to the cannisters of Zyclon B. We use that to kill the rats.
If American Jews do not know by now that Obama is anti-Semite they must have their heads up their azz.
Why would they be aghast after watching this load for the last 4 years.
A Jew voting for Obama is like a Catholic voting for Judas Escariot.
Yet how many Jews will automatically pull the democrap lever in the next election?
Way, way too many.
Jewish Americans appear to have little regard for Israel as they continue to support Democrats.
Of course they’ll just point out that Hagel was a “Republican.”
African Americans appear to have little regard for themselves as they continue to support Democrats.
I, for one, do not believe there is any angst at what Obama proposes for Israel.
Are they? The great majority of Jews voted for Obama knowing what they were doing. Their leftism was stronger than any loyalty to Israel.
Most liberal American Jews hate Israel and the Jews. Look at Soros! Look at all the Hollywood Jews that contribute to Obama. Do you really think they didn’t know? Of course they knew this is exactly what they wanted.
RE: Roughly half of Catholics voted for Obozo too (even after he used the health care law to declare war on us)
The latest figure I read was 52 to 48 FOR Obama among Catholics.
Heck, that’s MORE than Obama’s 51-49 final victory over Romney.
Catholics HELPED Obama BY A LOT. That’s all I can say based on observations.
BUT, Catholics elected Obama... and the majority of them love him!
As Catholics who support the social justice achievements of this President, we are disappointed in his lack of action in working to prevent these heinous acts of violence. We call on President Obama to find the courage to lead our nation and help bring a true and lasting end to gun violence." ...
...Catholics United, with its allies at Faithful America, today delivered a petition with more than 25,000 signatures calling on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to refocus their time and energy toward issues of social and economic justice rather than far-right partisan issues.
Exit polling data from the election showed that a majority of Catholics voted to reelect President Obama. Lay Catholics joined in support of the marriage equality referendums that passed in four states while the bishops conference was a strong vocal and heavy financial backer against the measures supporting marriage equality. The election results demonstrate the culture war narrative the bishops were pushing failed to convince mainstream Catholics to vote against their values.
Disclaimer: I seriously doubt we have these RC's on this board!!!
"I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you..."
That's a fact.
Catholics did not elect Obama. Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Jews, and single women had higher percentages for Obama.
(I know Hispanic isn’t a race, and many Hispanics are “Catholic”)
By weakening our military and our economy and now signaling that Israel is on it's own, we are setting in motion a cataclysm.
“Many in the American Jewish community are aghast.....”
Not to worry, they will fall in line just as they always do.
Seek-just like they did in Germany?
