Russia is enduring its harshest winter in over 70 years, with temperatures plunging as low as -50 degrees Celsius. Dozens of people have already died, and almost 150 have been hospitalized.

The country has not witnessed such a long cold spell since 1938, meteorologists said, with temperatures 10 to 15 degrees lower than the seasonal norm all over Russia.

...

The Moscow region saw temperatures of -17 to -18 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, and the record cold temperatures are expected to linger for at least three more days. Thermometers in Siberia touched -50 degrees Celsius, which is also abnormal for December.

How is this possible when the alarmists claim that the Arctic is melting?

If it supports AGW, such as the mild start to winter here in Northeast Ohio, then it’s significant, serious, and a sign of AGW.

If you’re freezing your tail off in Alaska or Siberia, then it’s just WEATHER, and weather is not climate.

This game is easy to play. Has to be easy or liberals couldn’t do it.

It’s like all the cold air tipped off the N. Pole onto them leaving us high and warm.

So sorry Ruskys.

A couple of years ago, I had one of these global warming enthusiasts explain to me that global warming can cause an ice age.

He began citing alot of references from different authorities that I do not care to know.

I just shook my head and walked away.

You cannot reason with those that are locked in to a radical religion like global warming.

Most of these pictures look just like Minnesota in January. The only difference from what I can tell is the Russians look like they're taxed less.

Thanks Mark Dayton!

It’s global cooling!! Don’t be a GC denier!

We aren’t pumping enough carbon into the atmosphere to prevent the coming ice age!!
