I guess you are right. Right now, like Rush says, we are outnumbered by people who just don’t care - the “low information voters”.

I believe it. I personally know so-called normal people who like obama & voted for him.
It causes tension.

So there’s still hope (although that word has been tarnished in recent years). I’m willing to do my part.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. If you can't win an election now, how are you going to do it with even fewer voters? It is not possible and it won't, and it can't happen.

So, that means we all have to work together to make the existing Republican party as strong as possible--there is no other choice.

This is why we have primaries. Think of them as a gift.

I believe Obama is the Pied Piper of our age. History shows his misguided policies have never worked, are not working now, and will bring misfortune, ruin, suffering, and even death to many. God help us all. We need another Great Awakening in our land - and soon.

I have lost a life long friendship because of obama. I just know a lot of people, including family, who think he’s great. We’ve gotten in arguments & it does no good. Plus, i can read on Facebook their favorable comments.

I hear ya on the friendships and of the favourable comments on FB. It's very difficult. It's one reason I don't go on there as much. It's very difficult because three of these people are fairly normal. Two are teachers. And they are for Obama and leftist policies. I don't get it. I don't understand how they cannot think and see what is happening.

Honestly, I don’t care what 0bama’s approval rate is. We either are going to split up as a country soon, or have states leaving. It won’t matter. 0bama is no longer a Constitutional officer. He is guilty of multiple treasonous acts.

My brother & his wife were out to dinner with friends recently. They got into an argument over obama. The guy is a govt worker. My other brother had to stop playing tennis with his friend of 40 yrs. That guy is retired from the fire dept.

The problem is the GOP doesn’t have any interest in defining the left in any such terms. So my choice is Democrat lite or regular Democrat.

Anyone who thinks we aren’t going to be sold out by Boehner and his ilk is beyond naive.

I’m also tired of the fact that no one in the GOP is able to define the party. If you can’t lead get out of the way.

What’s the definition of doing the same thing over expecting a different result?

I respect your opinion, however as long as we have the current leadership we are done winning elections. As long as the GOP allows the left to define them ON EVERY ISSUE they will be marginalized.

Someone on the right needs to drive a stick in the ground, look Obama in the eye and say “No more!”

Until that time expect the GOP to be nothing more than a moderate wing of the Democratic party.

Capitulation to treason is still treason.

Last night I saw a post to a fellow Republican on FB that warned if the Republican party doesn't moderate, it's time to start a "third party". It is obvious they are probably either pro-abort, or pro-gay marriage but still they think they're being marginalized by a party that they consider too conservative.

These kinds of posts are eye opening. We have those here on FR calling for another "third party", (as if 40 of them now aren't enough) and then we have others threatening to take their ball and go home if the Republican party doesn't go the way they want.

Stop and think about this, how are we to EVER defeat a Democrat with this kind of thinking.?

I am sure you and I want the exact same outcome. I want my country back but is it realistic? I'm getting pessimistic. It comes from the bottom up and not the top down.

We need true converts and it looks to me like Boehner is in a no-win situation and I fail to see how there is any Republican who can deliver the desired outcome.

About those four renegade so-called "conservatives". I'm not too sure but what I'm very sypathetic with Boehner on that one. He has every right to do that and it's not his nature to play hard ball without a good reason.

These guys are Paulbots and I've had my fill of them here in Iowa. They have nearly bankrupted RPI and believe they, as members of the SCC have every right to only help other "Liberty" approved candidates. They have created a terrible mess and I'm suspicious of any Ron Paul supporter.

Same here.
