Rush Limbaugh said Monday that there is a movement to “normalize pedophilia,” and referenced the push for same sex marriage while also discussing the Jimmy Savile and Jerry Sandusky child abuse scandals.
“There is a movement on to normalize pedophilia, and I guarantee you your reaction to that is probably much the same as your reaction when you first heard about gay marriage,” the conservative commentator said on his radio program Monday, according to a show transcript. “What has happened to gay marriage? It’s become normal — and in fact, with certain people in certain demographics it’s the most important issue in terms of who they vote for.”

Ask anyone back in the 1970's if homosexuality would ever become mainstream where most of today's sitcoms would involve homosexuals and if homosexuals would be granted marriage rights and you would have had a fight on your hands........

I heard this on Rush today (my white noise) and thought I was going to crack a couple of molars. Had to get up and walk a bit.
Leftist operatives listen to and record every word on Rush’s show. After the show they discuss if there’s anything they can roast him on.
I hope the left makes a big issue out of this. They will be proving that they support evil and perversion.
In the leftist “mind” condemning evil is the worst thing in the world.
This issue will divide the libertarians some for, some against.
Perceptions aside, Rush Limbaugh has a point here. While I would not compare to two things as being equally horrific, since pedophilia cannot be consensual, whereas adult homosexuality can, there is a common bond between pedophiles, homosexuals, zoophiles, people who want to marry men’s wear mannequins, etc.
All of them exist outside the western relationship orthodoxy, which is one man, one woman. Rush is making the point that society’s recognition of gay marriage is a step on the road to normalizing pedophilia, because we are essentially normalizing those who do not belong to the orthodoxy in the name of “acceptance”. He is right.
That’s true, and Rush did credit Moynihan from time to time - Rush’ show is how I knew it was Moynihan who first coined it in fact.

Defining deviancy down has been going on for decades. It started with the disintegration of the sanctity of marriage thanks to the easing of divorce laws. No fault divorce was but the first nail in morality’s coffin.
That was followed by the sexual revolution and the removal of shame. Men and women are no longer expected to,save themselves for marriage. The age of “If it feels good, do it” has lead to where we are today.
