Okay. I just watched that video a few times, with the sound off. Looks to me the little black boat rammed itself into the “really really big ship”.
Also looks like the ship was trying to ward them off with some kind of large water hose. They refused to stop their ramming into the big ship and got hurt.
I have to agree, Gil had to have rocks in head to loan it to the pirate.
No I don’t think a whale is a puppy or kitten but I live on the California Central Coast and have had a lot of interactions with whales while out fishing. They are awesome animals and hate to see them get hurt. I have no respect or affection for the Sea Shepard group but I don’t think whale is a necessary staple in the Japanese diet. Just my opinion.
Which is exactly what this sham lawsuit is about: more publicity. They are likely in this together.
"Gotta stay in the news, baby, so the donations keep flowing. Dig?"
I don’t think it’s a necessary staple either, but that is not for me to choose. I live in Arizona. I eat beef shipped to me from Nebraska (and “sea kittens”). If you are not Japanese, it’s not for you to choose either.
As an aside, I don’t think these are the same whales you visit. This happened off Antarctica.
I find the show very entertaining. In my opinion, it is the best sitcom—reality show ever. Ships ramming each other!
As for the whales, although I’d like to try a whale steak, I’d also like to see them continue to exist, so whale steaks are always available. Tragedy of the commons....
Good grief!
You too? Oh my word!
Do you like cows? What about artichokes?
Trees? I love trees!!
Squirrels are the cutest though, and they are so fine in dumplings and gravy that you wouldn't even believe it!
Whether you like whales, puppies or kitties, killing any of them for legitimate reasons is not immoral. By legitimate, I mean food, clothing, population control, etc..
In contrast, the people on the whaling vessels are people. They have the right to eat, to feed their families and to make a living. Side with people over animals.
Cute and furry or ugly and slimy, an animal is still an animal, and whales aren't pets. Attempts to "protect" them are utterly absurd. They don't need our "protection" because there are lots of them and the ocean is a very, very big place.
(P.S. I have no problem with those who legitimately kill puppies and kitties for population control either. Happens on farms and ranches all the time. Animals aren't people.)
“Never f... with another man’s livelihood.”
There’s a lot of these reality shows out there. Seems everytime I turn around, there’s another reality show.
Amen to that. Great to hear that pirate watson lost the case.
