Gun-control fan Terry McAuliffe buys gun

Just because Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe is pushing for an assault weapons ban and one-gun-a-month restriction in the Old Dominion doesnt mean hes opposed to slinging lead.
In fact, the former Democratic Party chairman is one of Virginias newest gun owners, the proud papa of a sleek Beretta over and under shotgun, the standard of excellence at the areas skeet ranges.
Secrets first heard of his purchase over the weekend from shoppers at Dicks Sporting Goods in Baileys Crossroads who saw the likely Democratic gubernatorial nominee shouldering one of the pricy long guns.

It’d be more of a story if he’d bought 2 or more assault rifles.

There is a smalllllll good part of registration, that we’d see the leftists buying them up.

I guess it isn't much of a story. Democrat Big wig endorses law they will ignore....(Same old story!) Although he did threaten a person! He said he was going Skeet Shooting.. The police should investigate...LOL

People still shop at Dicks? Not sure. On that note, I can say that Cheaper than Dirt has now renewed sales of firearms.
One thing that has changed, ammo has gone through the roof there. 1,000 rounds of Federal .223 loose in the box was below $400 before Newtown. It is now officially $999.97/box, plus shipping. Which makes it more than $1/round. I bought a box just under three weeks ago for $379 plus tax ($406 out the door) locally at Sportsman's Warehouse. Not cheap, but certainly not outrageous, either. They are out of Pmags, but have used military metal mags for $99.97 each.

On that note, I can say that Cheaper than Dirt has now renewed sales of firearms. Not to me they haven't.
I sent dumber than dirt an email asking them to stop sending me their catalog.......and told them how much I spent elsewhere within the few days of their stupid move - to include the evil AK47 I bought (I already had a couple, but you can never have too many). Ordinarily I would've spent a lot of it with them.
CTD and Dicks - I know a lot of people that will no longer patronize them.

First they stop selling, and now they gouge. To hell with Cheaper Than Dirt. They’ve forfeited any future business from me.

Isn't it interesting he bought it at Dick's when that store came out against big bad mean guns. He didn't buy it at Hillbilly Bob's Bait and Gun Shop, noooo, he bought it at Dick's which anyone with any self respect has abandoned. Just a coincidence, right?

Yup; a coinky-dink fer sure. But remember, they're not trying to take away hunting rifles, or prevent people from defending themselves.......see look Dicks only sells "hunting rifles." None of those evil black guns. I think him buying a gun was staged and the story a plant.

mcauliffe’s ace in the hole is he, like most other top end democrats, knows a good mad bomber ~ the Algore does, and so does Obama, and then there’s Bill Clinton who has dozens at his beck and call. you work your way down the porking order in that crowd you will find many other bomber/politician relationships.

Maybe John Fn Kerry can lend him “can ah get me a huntin license here?”
and then he can teach us about how the 2nd Amendement is about duck hunting.

"the standard of excellence at the areas skeet ranges..." This author is apparently not into shotgun shooting sports. As the proud dad of a 2 time All-American (trap); IMHO the standard of excellence is a Perazzi. Others may argue a Kriegoff. Beretta makes a nice gun but few top shooters would use them if not for their agressive sponsor program.
