McALLEN Federal authorities arrested three men accused of holding 51 undocumented immigrants, threatening them with a handgun and a machete as well as paddling them to keep them in line.
The arrests came after a Guatemalan immigrant managed to escape the house and alert authorities.
On Friday afternoon, agents with U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcements Homeland Security Investigations division went to a house in the 6600 block of North Bentsen Road, where they arrested 51 undocumented immigrants and three men who, in addition to being immigrants from El Salvador, were in charge of holding them hostage, court records show. At the house, authorities seized a loaded 9 mm pistol, a machete and a wooden paddle.
Some of the immigrants who were detained as witnesses told investigators that Oscar Rosales, Jose Ferrufino and Gustavo de Jesus Vasquez each had a role in preparing food for them, making sure they didnt leave the house and instilling discipline.
The witnesses told investigators that the three men were armed and would often intimidate the immigrants with the handgun and the machete.
Investigators spoke with Rosales who said he would cook for them and was the person who had the machete and the paddle but not the handgun. All three men told investigators that they didnt make any threats or discipline any of the immigrants.
On Monday morning, the men were taken before a U.S. magistrate judge who formally charged them each with one count of harboring illegal immigrants and ordered they be held without bond pending a detention hearing later in the week.
AGENT IN CHARGE: OK, so who wants to spank the wetbacks today?
ALL AGENTS: “I do, I do.”
“No, it’s my turn.”
“No, me!”
Here, I’m going to do my Liberaltarian friends a favor, just so they can be consistent. I see a clear case for legalizing illegal immigration. Take the criminals out of the equations. Just make it legal and tax it.
I guess the only taxes governments can levy are on drugs, prostitution, gambling, and people smuggling.
I wonder if there were any hot little senoritas that were in need of a good spanking?
I suppose we are moving back toward slavery along with all the other radical liberal ideas. The illegals will be set free in the US with an apology. Their captors will plea out to misdameanors and will also be given citizenship for all their hard work getting other illegals into the country.
They will all claim 15 dependents on their next tax return and collect $10K - $15K each fromt he federal government and live happily ever after.
What a country!
Maybe they will all be deported and have to work their way back across the border next week.
Seriously, no joke, as far as the Federal Government, Public Schools and Children’s Protective Services in just about every state, paddling IS considered to be a major offense.
“Paddling”? That makes it sound like a fraternity prank. “Beaten” or “pummeled” or “battered” would be better.
They knowingly subject themselves into smuggling then they get what they get. No sympathy.
Looks like 51 of Marco “La Raza” Rubio’s children won’t be spanked anymore....”here is some Amnesty for you”
How come when the Hispanic smugglers beat, abuse, kidnap, make demands for ransom money or else. I never see any supporters,Mexico, anybody react how they react when an illegal is arrested for small things like not having a drivers license or being ran through the 278g immigration data base, found to have outstanding traffic fines, the supporters come from every where, to protest, the laws are unfair, he /she paid sales taxes, they have children, etc, etc,,, Then criminal arrests as what happened here, I never see any protesters demanding smugglers from Mexico who endanger their clients, must come to an end. Where is the supporters demanding Mexico to do more to stop all human smuggling ? The supporters and illegals always lay low and say very little when it’s illegals prying upon other illegals ?
