The LEO’s I mentioned are not personal friends of mine, so favoritism doesn’t apply. They are patriots who have stated they will not violate their oaths, and that protection applies to all citizens in their jurisdiction.

“Did they refuse orders to disarm citizens during Katrina? “

The cops and national guard refused to disarm citizens when they were met by armed deputy sheriffs at the county line.

I know several people who were killed with a one shot .22. All it takes is a shot in the heart or the head. And you make a great point about how many rounds you can carry.

You just made me think of a great idea. Print little copies of the 2nd amendment and hand them out to every cop we see.

“Accidentally” stumbled on some .22 lr yesterday and scooped up around 2k rds. Of course 500 rds had to go to the neighbor because the Packers lost to SF last weekend. I kept the Winchesters, he got the Remingtons. But in general, ammo is hard to find right now. The shop we found them at got them from some lady whose husband had just passed away and she had a lot of brand new ammo in unopened boxes she wanted to get rid of. Lucky me. Third gun shop we had been to looking for ammo.

Carson City. Noon. Saturday 1/19

Do you have a link for that? My recollection was that Gen. Honore refused to disarm citizens, but not in response to armed deputies defending citizens' 2A rights.

We should be seeing specific information about the lobbies and individuals attacking the Second Amendment. We should be seeing bill text when available. Otherwise, we’re only seeing assumptions. There are police, local government and so-called professional organizations behind gun control, but many political folks don’t want you to see them.

The feral government will simply transfer people to different areas so that they won’t have ‘neighbors’.

As a former federal agent I worked with FBI, DEA, ICE, Secrete Service the US Marshall's and even the dreaded BATF. I can tell you that 95% of these agents have their own personal weapons that they are just as worried about loosing as the rest of us. There is no exemption in any of these laws for them and they know it.

Imagine how they feel knowing that the government does not even trust them to own the weapons they carry for a living.

They are having the same conversations we are having here. "Dave are going to turn in your guns if they change the law"? Hell NO that would be stupid and unconstitutional.

They will not enforce a gun confiscation, it would be self defeating, foolish and extremely dangerous.

Explain the smiling, then hyperventilating father in the news clip and THEN call it bullshit.

If you can’t imagine this “incident” being used as a means of furthering Barry’s gun control agenda, you’ve little imagination.

I figure you’ve never watched the video.

“Nugent, whose trained with the FBI, ATF and DEA,...”

Seriously? A journalist for a large publication who doesn’t know the correct grammar for “whose” vs “who’s”? Good grief.

I like I said, you are worse than the liberals. I am sure you know 99% of the LEOs. Either that, or you are a mentally defective pathological liar.

Sorry, Stevie. Every word you type on FR is saved by Google Analytics and can be found by searching. Even if you ask the mods to delete your post, it is still out there, saved on the Internet.

Creepy, huh.

What about this?

“How does a dead girl show up at the memorial for Sandy Hook victims?”

Florida Atlantic University professor James Tracy is suggesting that the Sandy Hook massacre was really a hoax.

Tracy, who is allegedly known for his conspiracy theories, writes in his blog that the school tragedy was an orchestrated event created by the Obama Administration as a ruse to implement gun control. Connecticut officials understandably want the professor to be terminated.

Read his compelling story! His blog is here: http://memoryholeblog.com/2013/01/01/sandy-hook-the-illusion-of-tragedy/

I see another Colorado gun bill made it to committee that the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners support called "HB1085 Change Posession of Weapons by Previous Offender," and that just about all the Dem Boulder/Denver gun grab bills [seeing assumptions] haven't yet made it out of the starting blocks.

Yeah, I know...Not that creepy, but it just seems to me if you are not going to at least stand up and be counted on when issues like this pop up...

You might as well crawl into the hole they dig for you and let them bury you in it...

They have more ways than trying to corrolate my comments here, and my real “Superhero Identity”, location and itinerary...And by then I’ll already know they are coming...

If they wish to take it that far...

How unfortunate for them I suppose...;-)

Thanks, Red Steel. The bill makes sense, IMO. Under "summary,"
Under current law the crime of possession of weapons by previous offenders applies to all felony convictions. The bill limits the felony application to felonies under the victim's rights act, burglary, arson, or any felony involving the use of force or the use of a deadly weapon.

The anti-Second-Amendment lobby has been using a gradualist approach for decades. Even some large subgroups without felony or commitment histories have been denied their Second Amendment right. Some, with no criminal history at all (e.g., the Violence Against Women Act, passed both parties in Congress).

Any congressman or assemblyman who can be convinced by way of anecdote devised to cause emotional responses should have his drinking water checked for overly high hormone concentrations.
