Brett Baier's All Star Panel Comments on NRA ad
Fox News Brett Bair Special Report ^ | 1/16/2013 | Brett Baier

Posted on 01/16/2013 5:07:22 PM PST by FR_addict

FoxNews Bret Baier’s All Star panel, Charles Krauthammer, Juan Williams, and Steve Hayes, all called the NRA ad a mistake, vile and repugnant. I guess they all believe that the elite should have armed protection for their children, but not for ours.

Krauthammer even went so far as to say, of course the President's children should be protected because of who the President is and out kids don't need that type of protection.

What about kids of policemen, judges, FBI, ATF, correctional officers, etc? Their children may be targets because of who their parents are. Don't they deserve armed protection too?

The NRA did not call for taking away the right of the President to protect his children, but to give our kids the same right and not to make them sitting ducks in a gun free zone.

The more I think about your post (and others) on the terrorists, the more I think you have an excellent point. The terrorist took planes and rammed them into buildings. Now that they know how soft a target our schools are, the more likely they are to go after our kids.

And Obama wants to disarm us further.

‘All Star’ panel? It appears that the narcissists in Washington are not all in White House.

I heard one mother on the news this morning. Her little boy died in the shooting. She said he woke up and came downstairs without his pajama top, the night before he died. She asked what he was still doing up. He said he needed to give her one last hug. She said why didn’t he have his pajama top on. He said he wanted to feel her heart beat.

Which is why taxpayers pay for the protection of his kids.

He seeks to deny us the ability to protect our own.

The Ad was spot on, its way past time the gloves come off.

One would think with the media reaction and the reaction of many of the elected, the prevailing thought is ... Those serfs, in flyover country, have a lot of nerve wanting protection for their children. There is too much protecting of children going on out there. This will have to be changed.

Why in America are we to the point that we need armed guards at schools? After we get guards at schools where else will we need guards? playgrounds? little league fields? malls? Maybe we need military patrols in every town?

I think the conversation is going in the wrong direction.

Aside from this episode, I find Fox’s laughy-jokey news to have become intolerable. Despite the seriousness or horrendousness of Obama’s latest trampling on the Constitution, all the Fox newsies and commentators laugh and joke about it as if it’s funny. It is not funny. I find myself no longer watching anything that is not local news.

Really now. Do tell. So that a**wipe’s kids, his title be damned, are facing greater threats in their shangri-la world surrounded by badass SS agents, etc. than kids in...say....the south side of Chicago or East L.A. or east St. Louis?

Give me one, huge, honkin’ break. Please.

“Sorry fellow freepers, the ad was stupid. I am 100 percent NRA, but comparing the risk to a President’s kids to ours is ridiculous. We risk the random crime, his kids have targets for the whole world on their backs.

You are completely wrong! The president’s kids aren’t the victims of mass shootings because they Do have the protection. It’s the kids of everyday citizens who are the victims. That’s why they are EQUALLY deserving of the same protection. When was the last mass shooting you saw at Sidwell School? Huh? It doesn’t matter whether the threat is from international terrorists or from some lunatic! WOW! You can’t see that?

People have conceal carry in a lot of the other places.

The SRAs have been in schools since at least early 90s.

All the moonbats are expressing disgust and dismay over this excellent, truthful ad!

If you are taking flak you are over the target!

I agree except there is no excuse at all to leave American children completely unprotected in safe shooting zones.

Whether one wishes to admit it or not there are types of military patrols currently in our nation's towns. Soon drones will fill our skies to do more patrolling. It may come a time when one may have to be afraid of who is patrolling on the ground and who is commanding the drone overhead in the sky. To believe otherwise, for all Americans, is to believe humans are not prone to be humans. Everyone loves everyone, and nobody wishes harm to anyone. It does not work that way, and tyrants want one thing .... control. Seriously, I am certain you are a student of history. History reveals the past and the present, and offers a glimpse of our future.

Armed guards won’t stop bombs. or poisons. or all manner of evil things bad guys can think of. And then what? Children go to bunkers for education? This is America.

Is this playing into Obama’s plans for a domestic military force?
