The Hancock Park Patriots speech was excellent; I’ve had it in my mp3 player for a few weeks now. I do that with all his TSL episodes and speeches; Download the video from YouTube, convert to mp3 and put on my player and listen over and over again. I’ve been a huge fanboy of his ever since I found EjectEjectEject.com from a thread here on FR.

From SFVRC.org:

Bill Whittle is considered by many industry watchers to be the hottest up and coming
conservative political commentator and American heritage philosopher of his time.

Bill's factual, logical, and non-adversarial approach leaves people motivated and fully informed.
His ability to personalize and interpret some of the most complex political and moral issues of the day,
with humor and historical example, are unique in a world of ever-increasing vitriol and personal attacks.

Bill has hosted AFTERBURNER, NATIONAL SECURITY REVIEW, MIDDLE EAST UPDATE and co-hosted TRIFECTA for PJTV.
His WHAT WE BELIEVE series on Conservatism has been widely hailed as a complete civics less in seven segments.

He has appeared repeatedly on Fox News, The Dennis Miller Show, and written for National Review Online.

An accomplished screenwriter, film director, TV editor and instrument-rated pilot, he was born in New York City
in 1959, and grew up in Bermuda and Miami, where he spent almost twenty years writing and directing shows
for the Miami Space Transit Planetarium. He attended the University of Florida, where he majored in Theater.
While there, he wrote and directed THE PIGEON HOLE, which went on to become a National Finalist in the
Student Academy Award competition. He has since edited numerous specials and TV series for The Discovery Channel,
The History Channel, The University of Florida Gator Football team, AMC, NBC and many more.

Starting in December of 1992, Bill began his current trajectory with the launch of his weblog, EJECT! EJECT! EJECT!
Within a year he had shot to the top of the conservative blogosphere with his unique, in-depth essays
such as FREEDOM, COURAGE, TRINITY and TRIBES.

Since his move to the video format in 2008, Bill Whittle's segments have generated several million views;
one of his AFTERBURNER segments on You Tube has, to date, generated two and a half million views alone.
Bill was also a featured speaker at large Tea Party rallies, as well as performing for audiences at several universities.

He can be found at his new web home, Bill Whittle.net.

Bill Whittle running for [virtual] president
November 23 2012 by Christopher Cook
Most of us have experienced this: You’re in one of those bad dreams where something horrible has happened—you wake up, and after you shake off the dream and the sleep and you realize that it was just a dream, you are so relieved.

Most have also experienced the reverse: You’re having a wonderful dream where something great has happened, and then you wake up and discover it isn’t real. Not that your waking life is necessarily bad, but the dream was really nice.

About halfway through the video below, I thought to myself, “Oh no, this is going to be one of those things where by the end, I will have become convinced that Bill Whittle IS the president, and then I will have to “wake up” and remember that Obama actually is.

A beautiful dream, a waking nightmare.

But then, near the end, Whittle—while not saying that he will run for president—does indicate that he will run for virtual president.

To understand what that means, you simply have to watch. And you should watch this video all the way through, because it is brilliant. Whittle is amazing in his Afterburner and Firewall videos, but that amazingness could simply be scripted and well-delivered.

This is Whittle off the cuff, answering questions from a pretend press corps as if he were the president.

And it really is incredible to hear.

Seriously . . . . well worth your time!

Getting ready for the NEW thread -- later tonight, I think.

From www.whitehousedossier.com:

Bill Whittle: Be a Conservative and Like It
by Keith Koffler
November 27, 2012, 6:13 pm
As Republicans and even some "conservative" leaders around the nation melt into a slurry of mushy moderatism and propose jettisoning the philosophy that twice elected Ronald Reagan – by landslides – along comes Bill Whittle of PJTV to remind them and everyone else the power of unflinching conservative ideology.

It’s a theme I’ve been striking around here, that the problem for Republicans in the last presidential election, as in the one before that and in 1992 and 1996, not that the candidates were too conservative.

It’s that they didn’t sell the philosophy they supposedly believed.
Bush the Elder, Dole, McCain, and Romney all came out of the moderate wing of the Party without a serious commitment to conservative ideas. Unable to smell the watery soup they were offering, voters sent them home.

What Whittle suggests here is that Republicans today, and even many conservatives, either don’t really believe conservative ideas or have been cowed by a frowning media and pop culture into hiding it.

So sit back and watch Whittle...

...and imagine a world in which a candidate does not try to pretend he’s something he’s not.

I'm getting ready for my NEW THREAD -- going up Monday -- when Bill releases the final version of his "Virtual Inauguration" speech.
The new THREAD, of course, is awaiting release of the new VIDEO -- which has not yet been posted. :(

Bill's business partner Jeremy Boreing said that the new, professionally edited video will be up on "Monday" --

...but knowing the creative process as I do, I interpret that to mean sometime before SUNRISE on Tuesday. :)
Until then, I will continue to prepare some of the best possible posts to include on that new thread -- like THIS ONE.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Here is a good summary of the video that first introduced Bill's current version of a "Virtual President" to the general public.

This particular 38-minute video is from the "Quesion & Answer" period following
one of Bill's traditional one-hour presentations to a local group of conservatives.

As we now know, like many of the top public speakers, Bill was using his time out "on the road"
to sharpen some of the ideas which he intended to use in his upcoming address at Restoration Weekend.

From www.westernfreepress.com:

And, here is a nice summary of the video that blasted Bill Whittle's "Virtual President" concept deep into the conservative blogosphere.
Bill's hard-hitting 15-minute address at Restoration Weekend really resonated with the "base" of the Republican party,
who have grown weary of the squishy "establishment" Republicans inside the Beltway, who often sound like "Democrat Lite."
From The Dryer Report:

If We Had A Conservative In The White House

If we had a conservative in the White House the attacks in Benghazi might be dealt with
in a different manner. In fact the events throughout the world might be seen in another light entirely.

Bill Whittle who is a Los Angeles-based Writer/ Director and Pilot who writes about America,
history and conservative values, was speaking before a conservative audience at a David Horowitz Benefit Dinner.

In his speech to the gathered conservatives Mr Whittle explained how most of the Republicans in elected office
can not explain their conservative positions because the largely do not believe in those principles.

And as they do not believe in these principles they can not articulate them to the American people at large.
Mr. Whittle has a valid point here.

Because when he articulates a conservative position on the attack on the Benghazi consulate
it is so much different from what has been heard that it almost sounds foreign. It is so refreshing that one’s ears perk up and you tend to actively listen and actually imagine the what if...
...what if there was a true Conservative in the White House in present day America?

My how much different the world might be.
We have time to make this a reality and really elect a true conservative into the White House.

But why stop there?
Why not put true conservatives in the City Halls and Governor’s mansions throughout this Nation.

But hey... a step at a time.

Bill likes to use WORD PICTURES to drive home an important point -- like his story about the BEARS,
who become dependent on eating garbage, because it is easier.
We now have to reintroduce them to the personal satisfaction that they will enjoy
by WORKING (a little) -- to get much better food.
From www.thenownews.com:

And, from www.independentsentinel.com:
A Lesson in Irony – Take the Food Stamp program
By Harvey Miller
November 23, 2012

This year the Food Stamp Program (SNAP) administered by the U.S.Department of Agriculture is proud
to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever – to 47 million people.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior asks us
"Please Do Not Feed the Animals" because animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn
to take care of themselves...

Animals that are fed by people become dependent on human food, and may lose their
natural fear of humans and their ability to forage for natural foods. There is a lot of truth to
the saying, "a fed animal is a dead animal." In addition to losing their foraging ability,
animals that have been fed are less likely to survive other reasons. Animals that have been
fed from cars congregate near roadways and are at a high risk of being killed by vehicle collisions.

In recent years, the National Park Service has had to euthanize deer, coyotes, rock squirrels
and other animals at Grand Canyon that had become overly aggressive towards humans
and/or had become completely dependent on food handouts. Park rangers work to
preserve and protect park resources, including wildlife. NPS staff find it heartbreaking
when they are forced to euthanize animals whose aggressive behaviors were caused by
being fed by well-meaning people. [NPS.gov]

In his opening remarks, Bill introduces the phrase "Everything is Amazing, and Nobody's Happy" (by Louis C.K.)
as one of the primary themes of his "Virtual Inauguration" speech.
He said that, as a liberal, Louis C.K. would probably be offended that Bill referred to him favorably.

It turns out that Louis C.K. was just voted by Rolling Stone magazine as the funniest man in America last year!
